2AM is a more ballad based 2nd gen group with great vocals :) There were formed in JYP with there brother group 2PM (hottest time of the day) which has the more upeat songs, dance songs and "beastly" image. 2 Am has songs which you would listen to at 2AM. 2Pm is also really worth checking out:) Please also check the killing voice from BTOB, Infinite and Highlight

As someone else mentioned: 2AM is a 2nd gen ballad group that was formed with the more uptempo, dance heavy 2PM - together they were known as One Day. TVXQ, Shinee and 2AM were/are considered the top vocal groups to come out of that generation and every member of those 3 groups were (are still) highly respected for their singing. Obviously there were other amazing vocalists that debuted during that period but we're talking about groups as a whole. I got into kpop back in 2008 because of TVXQ and stayed because of Shinee (still my favourites to this day) but I remember being so in love with 2AM's ballads. All 3 groups were also absolutely HILARIOUS on talk/game/reality shows. Small note: a few of the songs they performed in the earlier part of the video were duets/collabs with female singers (like IU) and so the members also did the girl's parts here - which is what lead to some slight stumbling and giggling.
