I recently started a game of Lufia II using the Frue Lufia patch, which cleans up bugs and text errors (this is my first time using it!), and the famous glitches like the garbage room in B99 of the Ancient Cave, and during my Ancient Caving, I suddenly found myself REALLY far down, and decided to try to go ahead and complete it!
After a harrowing 5 1/2 hours, I reached the mid-90s floors and decided to load up OBS and get a recording, and sure enough, I ended up beating the boss and winning my first-ever Ancient Cave victory!
This vid is mostly walking through nearly empty rooms (HUGE luck on those last few floors!) and menuing in preparation for the boss, but hey this is just for my own documentation really. For not having acquired the Dekar Blade and without a guide handy, I feel like this was a good first victory!
Anyway definitely play the Frue Lufia patched version of the game, it is a great experience!
Small note: the video was recorded on an actual Super Nintendo (RGB modded + RetroTink5) and a FXPAK Pro cart. No save states or anything like that
