Thanks for showing us a unique gathering and event. Hearing you walked over five miles makes my feet hurt for you. My feet wouldn't want to feet any longer. Large tight quartered crowds after a time get me ready for the open spaces. Glad you had fun.

Looks like so much fun! I am a Cosplayer - used to do NY Comicon all 4 days - can't walk it anymore. I sure do miss it. The energy there is incredible.

Interesting. My son is a gamer. Didn't know it was this popular. He does a game night on Fridays. His game has figures that he paints and then uses them in the game. Sorry can't remember the name of it. Looked like you had fun.

I love cons but mine are more tv, movieand comic related like comic con. The cos play is on point. When i went to fanexpo someone made a fully working iron man suit it was crazy

My oldest son would love this. He's in Colorado. I need to see if he's ever been to something like this.

That’s not a bad answer, but in fact, it’s for Lake GENeva, Wisconsin, which is where the show was founded in 1968, and its home until 1977 when growth caused the first move. Indianapolis is the 4th city to host Gen Con, and its home since 2003.

My only problem with events such as this is that it is too PEOPLEY, lol..... As a professional artist I do sell at events like this regularly, but I stay behind my booth table.

I so want to go to this. I have big gamer friends. Ticket to Ride is a solid game. I have to put this show on my bucket list for sure. I’ve invested in a few games in development over the years. I bet you had a great time.

Gen Con is all flavors of table top games, with board games probably having the most representation. There are also collectible card games (e.g. Magic the Gathering), role playing games (e.g. Dungeons & Dragons), and games played with miniature figures (e.g. Warhammer), in approximate order of the amount of representation. Plus a whole lot of gamer-adjacent activity; cosplay, crafts, puppetry, music, dancing, etc.
