I would suggest to leave Disney out of the equation. There is a Disney Park outside of Paris, if you need one. There are plenty of various Parks in Germany, each with their own charm and attraction.

Its funny when you have been to Phantasialand and see him walk into the free fall tower thinking it is a ghosthouse

Fun Facts : Phantasialand startete 1967 als Märchenpark und baute den Park ab den 1970er Jahren zum Themenpark um. Disneyland wurde 1971 eröffnet. Fast alle hier existierenden Freizeitparks starteten in 1970 er Jahren. Hansa Park startete als deutsches Legoland. Phantasialand started as a fairytale park in 1967 and converted the park into a theme park in the 1970s. Disneyland was opened in 1971.Almost all of the existing amusement parks started here in the 1970s. Hansa Park started out as German Legoland.

Actually the the China-Town-Hotel is the biggest historical Chinese building outside of China. Many parts had to be imported from China and over 200 Chinese craftsmen were involved in the construction. Also in the different districts they generally try to use as authentic parts as possible, even the plants. Eg. while building "Klugheim", the medieval-fantasy district, the whole european flower market was completely sold out of certain plants coz Phantasialand bought them all.

The guys at Phantasialand are just so thoughtful. Like every season there will be people in costumes walking around and everything is just so tied together. When I was there in summer, the people in costumes were walking around and spraying you with water, because it was so hot.

if you have the time maybe try out the europe park in rust, germany its near the french border and there are so many tourists coming there

Never been to Phantasialand. But I've been to Europapark several times. But nothing compares to universal studios in Orlando. One of the coasters there is insanely brilliant.

The Europapark is possibly the best in Europe. In addition to the good roller coasters, the ambience and atmosphere is simply awesome!

Fun fact about the colorado ride: Michael Jackson hat the first ride in it when it started for public.

Love to see the childish joy you have. This is what theme parks are all about: Being a kid again and wonder and marvel about everything.

just to remember: Phantasialand is not IN Cologne rather by Cologne (so it is more next to it). It´s such a good Park. The music, the Hotels and stuff are awesome and not that expensive. If you sleepover in one of the Hotels you are able to walk around and get on the most things one or two hours earlier than the normal guests. I don´t know if my grammar is the worst at this point, but if you didn´t noticed, yeah i am german :D Back when i was a child me and my family went there 3 to 4 times per year. it was like "school? nah. we will go to phantasialand!" so my parents took me out of school in the week because there are less people at the park and was sometimes cheaper. if you go there in the main-season you can get a new ticket for free entry for the next visit (per person that bought normally a ticket). thats so awesome!

You have to go to the "Europa Park" in Germany and drive the Silver Star and Blue Fire. Its epic😂

@@mellatina Die Wartezeiten waren zu lang. Deswegen wurde sie nachher auch abgerissen. Oder auch Grand Canyon Bahn und Gebirgsbahn welche wegen des Großbrands abgerissen werden mussten.

Die Achterbahn wurde zum Saisonbeginn im April 1996 eröffnet und wenig später am 11. Mai durch den namensgebenden Michael Jackson getauft. Colorado Adventure was called "Coloado Adventure - The Michael Jackson Thrill Ride" until 2013. The roller coaster was opened at the beginning of the season in April 1996 and baptized a little later on May 11 by the eponymous Michael Jackson.

By the way, some of the largest roller coasters in the world were designed and built in germany.

If you liked this one, you'll really enjoy "Europa Park" in Rust. That's another great theme park, where they've themed different areas like countries in Europe. There's an Area for Switzerland, Greece, Norway, Russia and many more. Me and my family went there several times, i think we didn't see everything of the park yet. It's worth the travel =)

Regarding the pirate thing: The complete expression is actually "über die Planke laufen lassen" (to let them walk over the plank), so its actually pretty close.

You 100% should go to Europa Park and Tripsdrill as well!

Europa Park has the most actions and most variety of action based rides whereas Phantasialand has the lovliest details theme related and so many nice non action entertainment like the huge variety of shows (stunt western, ice skating,... etc.). Both parks can be exrtemly over-croweded whereas smaller not so good parks aren't that full what can be a reason to go there.

You should visit Europa Park as well. In my opinion the best park in Germany

Yeah, I agree. I lean towards Phantasialand because it is fairly close, but also because I just like the world they create. Plus, I don't need the big and crazy rides, just going through a house with crazy stuff to discover can be way, way more fun. (The shows are pretty poor, though, Imho, except the light show they do in winter). And if you have time to go during the week, it's not that overcrowded either.

@@Phantraxa Sure, but still a lovely park. I can enjoy the whole day just walking throu this park without even riding a single attraction. And Blue Fire or Silver Star are really good. And it never gets boring since this park is soooo f...ing HUGE. HUMONGOUS. I've been there now 12 days and i still get lost in there. Die Jahreskarte kann man bei mir als lebenslange Fixkosten bezeichnen, auch wenn ich 400km hin fahren muss (und auch leider zurück).

My favourite Rollercoasters are "Taron" and "Black Mamba" :D

Fun fact: They actually had Chinese workers come over to Germany to build the whole Chinese area in Phantasialand. That's why it looks so authentic 😉

I honestly love how much you love it! I grew up in the city where Phantasialand is located and for years I have had annual passes and basically lived inside the park. I miss it so much, because I moved and now you are basically giving me flashbacks to my first visit excitement when I was a kid. Keep enjoying it as much as I did and much love!

Habe auch damals dort gelebt und es gibt soweit ich mich erinnern kann ein „Phantasialand“ Tag wo der Eintritt nur 1 Euro gekostet hat und wenn es in der Woche war dann hat unsere Grundschule sogar am Vormittag schon Schluss gemacht damit man dorthin gehen kann :D weiß aber nicht wie es heute ist

Es ist witzig jemanden zuzusehen wie er in dem Park ist in dem man selber schon drei mal war. Da ich in der Nähe von Phantasialand lebe. Man sieht die Stadt auf der Karte und zwar Andernach.

Sounds like u'd really like De Efteling in the Netherlands, fairytale theming where basicly every ride is based on a myth or fairytale, even the coasters. Beside that thers a whole section of the park dedicated to fairytale scenes (would def need 2 days to see whole park probably).

Honestly imo De Efteling can't compare to Phantasia Land. Went there last year and was really disappointed. The park is really big, but also boring and very old in some parts (I didn't grew up with it, so maybe I am just missing the nostalgic feeling some people might get here). Some rides felt just unsafe (maybe just to me as a German), e.g. the "Bob-Bahn". On the other hand it was impressive how inclusive the park was. Saw a group of people in wheelchairs and they were on almost every ride and the staff seemed very caring helpful. The decoration and theming is not as homogenous. Many rides themselfes are nicely done but don't really fit into the surrounding area. It still is WAY BETTER than the Movie Park in Bottrop, which is just horrible in all perspectives. But besides from Disneyland I only got this "Disney-feeling" in Phantasialand.

naja, ich gehe mal davon aus, dass es viele Amerikaner gibt, die Connors Videos schauen um zu sehen, wie es in Deutschland aussieht. So gesehen ist es ja nicht wirklich falsch englisch zu schreiben.

Love the Germany videos. My dad's side is all German ancestry. Apparently from the North Rhine Westphalia region. I'd love to visit someday. Sadly, my siblings & I never learned German even though my uncle still speaks it. He was telling me recently about how a local area where he lives called Over the Rhine is being revitalized, so I assume it got it's name from the river.

this is so fun to see as someone from the netherlands that goes there often! phantasialand is a really nice park in my opinion. This video is also so wholesome, I love how happy and impressed you are.

So many good memories attached to that place! We even had a class trip there to "look at the architecture"

Yay you chose my favourite one 🤗 My grandparents used to live close by when they were still alive. Since I was a child I have been going there at least once every 1-2 years. I have kind of grown with the park and have seen all the changes, some good some bad but it's just part of my childhood and that's why it will always have a place in my heart😍

Conner, your german is really adorable. I love this park as well, my family visits it at least once a year, ever since I was 8 or 9

You HAVE to go to Europapark if you enjoyed Phantasia Land! It's like the Mecca of amusement parks in Germany!

Awesome showcase of my favorite Themepark! I also liked your commentary on the rides and differences in language. I personally have never been to Disney Land but now I can compare Phantasialand to it.

You should go to Hansa Park it’s in north Germany and It has some cool rollercoasters like Kärnan and Fluch von Novgorod and there’s also the worlds second tallest drop tower

Ich finde den Heidepark trotzdem wesentlich cooler, weil die Achterbahnen dort eher für ältere Leute gemacht sind.

Sorry, but no. I am from the north but Hansa Park and Heide Park are no real comparison to Phantasialand and Europa Park. It is because the north is not so populated and as result not so much visitors as elswhere and less money is made.

Go and visit „Europa Park“. Ist a even bigger Theme Park with a lot more rolercoasters

Dude, this is such a great and entertaining video! Very well done and I‘m happy you had a blast at the most immersive amusement park in Germany. The biggest one is Europa Park, which is also great, but not that detail oriented theming-wise (+ it has too much product placement for my taste). Since Inlive closer to EP, I‘m there more often, but when I go to PHL I always make sure to stay over night as it feels like being in a different and very happy world. Can‘t wait for the 2nd part and will subscribe + follow on IG. 👏🏻

I live near the Phantasialand. I often was in the Phantasialand and it's so cool and funny. In the moment they build a new rollercoaster and I love the Phantasialand. It's such a cool themepark

Europa Park, Efteling and Phantasialand are the three most beautiful Theme Parks in Middle-Europe. They are all in all fantastic resorts. If youre a Thrillseeker you should visit Walibi Holland and Energylandia in Poland.

Loved it ❤️ I was in the african hotel for 2 nights. The rooms are pretty cute😍 You would loooveeee Europa Park, I life like 40 minutes away from it and I love it. If you visit the Park you should go early because it's way bigger 😊 Anyway I hope you have a fantastic time wherever you go ❤️

Awwww Phantasialand! I lived ten minutes away from it as I still lived with my parents, it's such a beautiful theme park, I've been there so often! Haven't visited it in the past 11 years cause I moved away, but I really should go there again, they changed so much! I also worked there as part time job for two years, and it was so much fun! And the different Themes in there have actual backstories that you can read up somewhere I'm pretty sure :)

I'm working in that park! When did you visit it? But seriously, not having met you there hurt, I worked there for almost the entire christmas holidays :(
