This past Monday I Started on a very exciting but nerve wrecking journey to learn how to swim 🏊‍♀️ with Propellers ,(a swimming academy founded by two young and qualified Batswana). I started on a journey to conquer my fear of water and to become water safe - something I feel we all need because at one point or another we interact with water, whether it’s the pool, our beautiful rivers as we go on boat cruises, or the ocean, so it is important to atleast know how to manoeuvre in water to minimize accidents.
It has been so exhilarating and empowering seeing myself going from being overwhelmed just stepping into water, to now being able to float on my front, back and learning the back stroke, courtesy of Coach Simon Monnaesi Tshwaane 🎊🎉🎈😅. The patience and professionalism shown by the coaches, the level of skill and most importantly keeping their shields on during training, to adhere to Covid 19 protocols is just amazing ❤️.
