Thanks for another good reaction to my favourite singer. She was only 9 years old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, an American singer/songwriter. He wrote and performed it in 1956 and Angelina based her performance on the original, although she did make some subtle alterations to both lyrics and melody. As you continue your journey of discovering Angelina, you will come to realise that she does her own arrangements of most of the cover songs she sings. The differences may not be immediately discernible on first listening to them, but they are there. There may be a subtle change in tempo or tone, or more inflexion on some words, or a phrase may differ in pitch from the original. The amount of control that Angelina has over her voice cannot be measured. She never hurries a song. She sings in such a way that the emotions in the lyrics are felt by the listener. In this video did you notice:Angelina finishing some notes and handing them to the musical director, who smiled as he read them? They were her wishes (instructions) to the band how she wished therm to play the music. Angelina speaks 3 languages, designs her own clothes, and has written a very popular book, and like her name she truly is an angel with a heart of gold. Angelina won Norway's got talent when she was 8 years (well worth watching) old Her younger years before age 13 she was watched over by her mother (Sara) and her Uncle who just wanted her to grow up normal. Her mother and uncle Turned down almost 90% of all requests for her to perform but even so from age 7years to 12 years old or so, she has been all over the world (Mother never more than a breath away) Angelina has produced over 130 covers, and she makes all of them her own, all of which will astound you. New people to Angelina get sucked down this road of experience not believing what they're hearing her excellent vocals and unique way of singing, Angelina is a master at music structure her ability to show absolute recognition to a cover while she makes it her own. This is her arrangement so you may gather that she is a music genius with and unbelievable voice not heard or seen in decades. If you go back to Norway's Got Talent which she competed in at age 7-8 and actually won that show you may be even more flabbergasted at what you will hear from the prodigy. Great reaction. Welcome to Angelina's world. This young prodigy has over 135 covers and other videos that she has recorded between the ages of 6 and 15 which is her current age. She has already established herself as an accomplished Jazz artist. Her preferred genre is Jazz but she has done covers of about every genre you can name. What you will find in Angelina is a vocalist who doesn't do vocal gymnastics, she simply and beautifully interprets the story and meaning of the song and pours her soul into every performance. Another thing about Angelina is that she is completely in control of the music she sings. She picks the songs and arranges them herself the way she wants them to be done. In the "I put a spell on you" video, when she was 9 years old, she is seen handing some written notes to the band director. The were her "wishes" about changes she would like in the arrangement. Angelina has sung all over the world for Nobel Laureates, heads of state, music icons, and other dignitaries. She has performed everywhere from small weddings of a few people, to London's O2 stadium, and Seoul South Korea with 40,000 people. She performs at jazz festivals, conferences, and charity benefits. At the age of 15, she is a seasoned performer with 8 years of recording and performing. Many of her live performances when she was 10, 11, and 12 years old blow away even the original adult performers of the songs she sings. She is definitely worth your time to experience and get to know. What a voice! What a performance! Great reaction. React to Angelina and watch your subs grow.

If a 29-year-old singer had done that, I'd have the same reactions: "This singer has learned her vocal skills so young and uses them so well." If she was 39, I'd guess, "She's had to have 20 years' experience with those vocal skills." IF she was 49, I'd find my expectations still surpassed. You probably can't avoid hearing her more modern work, but she's got some videos at ages 6 and 7 that display even more and different vocal skills. It's not so much her vocal range - which is phenomenal - but her STYLE range, her willingness to learn so many different styles, and deliver them with aplomb. Your only loss will be not explornig more. That's also something we AJ Fans poke fun at, too - "falling down the rabbit hole" of Angelina videos.

After you hear 5 or 6 more Angelina songs or covers your going to realize that her age isnt even a factor. At 10 she did what i believe is the best cover of "feeling good" that has ever been sung. And she did it live in concert. It will absolutely blow your mind. It seems like whatever song i heard last is always my new favorite. Then i hear her sing the next song and it blows my mind again. Its truly your lucky day when you have discovered Angelina jordan. She will change you i promise.

What’s amazing about Angelina is, here is this little creature who just came into the world and she has a level of creativity and knows exactly what she wants to illustrate her vision, and her artistry is impeccable.
