A video on driver hours and working time directive would be really helpful as this is something I've struggled to get my head around aswell 😁

That’s nice bag mate where did you buy it?
Never fill up with fuel at night all ways in the morning .To many diesel fairies about.

Good tip, however I’m not paying for it 😂 and it has some weird locking system 🤷🏽♂️
@BigAndy95
Жыл бұрын
The locking system means nothing, if they want your diesel they’ll take it. Even if that means punching a hole in the bottom of the tank.
You mentioned the word "shower". Please explain where do you shower, toilet breaks, etc etc. Are there special facilities for truck drivers? Thank you.
Top of the list for tramping; wear sliders or flip flops when using the showers at motorway services, every disease known to mankind is lurking in those places!

im about to go do my HGV and bricking it lol used to doing DPD so totally different from what Im used to but how is HGV jobs it looks alot better than what used to, also tramping can you charge laptops etc when switched off during night? does it drain ur battery etc soz for the questions lol
@TRUCKERKEV
Жыл бұрын
I’m here to help mate !!! And yes they can drain your battery but only if you leave it plugged into an “INVERTER” overnight for hrs with multiple items, it’s coming from the trucks batteries that can take a good hit but ideally you don’t wanna have 4/5 high powered devices for long periods of time. A laptop is not high powered your be fine!!

@@TRUCKERKEV was jw use my laptop for netflix and gaming but if stopped for an hour play an hour or 2 of games netflix etc shouldnt kill battery (I hope) lol but love videos learning alot from watching you and few other hgv drivers just bricking it for reversing think im going to wipe out a building reversing lol

Always an interesting comparison when office workers staying away will have a costs budget from accounts of around £200.00+ to cover hotel, meals and away woak compensation benefits. Yet, HGV do it for same as 25 years ago with disease ridden 'facilities' often uncleaned and then sleep in a tin box! Says more about what types do HGV work at rates of pay far below what all others get? Little wonder so many HGV drivers have lost families and homes while chasing ultra-low pay and staying away when all partners and kiddies need is, time with them at home! But hey, maybe drivers who do away work and repeatedly lose relationships are just they selfish types who won't man up to caring for family at home?

Low rates of pay get into the real world I worked in a warehouse for years just to pay the bills now minimum pay doesn't cover the bills I have put myself through HGV licence so I can provide for my family Happy you eren alot more than me but from a large % of parents struggling Don't show off and don't look down on people that just want to pay their way
I could not do a night out in a tin can for £25 that is a joke
@TRUCKERKEV

Thanks for sharing Neil please explain ? Are you implying £25 bonus for nights out is bad rate as opposed to what ? Let’s help others understand what we’re missing out on 😀
