One tip: go to party effects and enable just party buffs. That options keeps the skill effects of your teammates off but Its important as a DPS to be able to see where your supports place attack buffs (specially Artist and Bard) and related synergies, in the video you also don't see the heals bard is placing, its literally a life saver to be able to see those xD.

The best feeling in this game, when everything clicks, and you matrix through patterns and start minmaxing your damage, it's very satisfying... On Kakul-Saydon release, progging on my sorc was the most miserable things ever, because I could barely see anything from my effects lmao. After I started playing it on alts and seeing the patterns the raid got way easier, and started feeling in control. That raid in my opinion is the best raid in the game, if not overgeared, which sadly is just the reality nowadays, homeworking it isn't as satisfying though... First few weeks of it honestly best memories I've made of the game, the people I've met and still play with today.

It's fun right? Once you get you're first clear. You will get hungry for more raids. All that muscle memory will carry you into new raids and you slowly but surely get better! As long as you're willing to learn. Lost Ark has a lot to offer and the ending feeling of accomplishment is something only Lost Ark offers. Even though I'm a vet. I'm always excited for reset to do raids. Pushing myself to new numbers and seeing cruel fighter and or radiant support. Love your journey. Looking forward to seeing you take down probably one of the most popular raids in Lost Ark.

I like LOA too, but you must have played only one game in your life if -> "the ending feeling of accomplishment is something only Lost Ark offers". Kind of a stretch lol

I think it's a combination of how unique the top down raiding is, how good the boss designs are, how fluid the combat feels, random aggro (no tank), lots of RNG vs scripted and predictable, and then the journey to even unlock the content in the first place xd I'm struggling to think that far back but unless you were a bit of a whale or Gojo Satoru, each first clear was pretty damn hard, and if you remember things like kakul-saydon, and brel, they were actually too hard for half the community. I mean Clown was disbanding guilds and brelshaza was ending marriages xd Personally the first time I cleared those things with barely sufficient gear, I felt ecstatic for days. Was magical :) Anyways I can't look at other MMO's raids anymore, they feel subpar, to me atleast :/ (and that's why I still play this silly game lol)

One tip is to minimize the party members UI and put it to far left so you have more space to click on the middle screen. Good luck with your future raids

I did watch previous vidoes of u enjoying the story and whatnot - today you earned a new sub... Its refreshing to see a person actually enjoying the game as its supposed to be - no FOMO - just you and going slowly but surely further into the game... If you enjoyed this so far - im sure you will enjoy future raids / content. Keep it strong and dont let the FOMO players get you :)

I remember taking 6 hours for the first Valtan clear back in the day 😅 It's annoying but learning raids this way is perfect for muscle memory. And don't worry, all of the legion commanders will eat your lunch!

Can't wait to see him suffer at clown on ilevel, I always clared that raid at 1520 min.

You should check out Saintones video 'How difficult is raiding in Lost Ark Part 2' (part 1 covers a removed gate in Brelshaza) to see what is yet to come. Dont worry, he intentionally tries to make it harder than it actually is, but I would love to see your reaction. That being sad, Valtan definitely can kick ass of poor and unsuspecting Mokokos and while being the most straightforward fight of all legion commanders, ignoring his patterns on iLvl does hurt a shitton. Still, he is one of, if not the most beloved raids in Lost Ark and still fun for veterans. Also, when you feel like you have mastered Valtan, feel free to challenge his hell mode ;)

Progging raids is the most fun part i find. well, no clutching and winning it after progg is most fun xD Also blind progs are superb i find ! if you wanna blind prog akkan when you get there id love to do it with ya. Day#1 player who took a break and got left out of the elitist pushers

bro love your content. you did choose one of the harder and squishier classes to play (reaper) so the learning curve is even harder for you beccause that class.

It’s always learning the patterns for the first time for me. Stressful to remember everything but once i get the hang of it, the raid becomes very fun

Reaper gaming - great job on your learning run :) Seems like you have party effects disabled, but it's better to turn in to the mode when it shows party members buffs - that way you will see the heal that bard puts on the ground for example You're using hunger engraving, right? The idea behind the engraving is that you keep your red gauge full at all times by hitting with shadow or dagger skills. Dagger skills have to hit the boss to refresh the gauge, while shadow skills just need to be activated. Aslo you can use distortion and nightmare skills more often to position behind boss's back. Distortion allows you to phase through the boss and nightmare teleports you on second activation (it is a combo skill). Good luck on your next runs, hope you claim the victory :)

You can use your purple skills to kep up the Hunger buff,they dont need to connect to uptime 👍

It's insane watching your first time, when i have over 6k hours in this game and 12 alts, 3 at hard Akkan. It's remains me the time when the raid come out after Argos... Love this video!

Woo, seems like you got a lot of people who aren't super high above the ilvl reqs, so that should keep the fight still fun without having to worry too much about dps. But also not just slam through it. Because who wants to end the fun of the first clear by not experiencing much because it goes by too fast? I honestly think that the struggle is what makes that first clear special.

If you are new, watch, dont greed DPS (to do damage all the time). Watch the pattern, recognize, and do first. Have fun going forward! (btw it hurts more because you are Reaper hehehe kekw) xD

Funny to see how hard this raid can be. The crazy thing when you cleared him like 10 times it will feel so much easier and you can not remember the first trys. After you cleared vykas 10 times you can't even relate how someone can struggle in valtan and so on. The best thing you can do is find people / guild that you can learn raids and can take the time you need.

Valtan was quite difficult due to the number of normal pattern he has, and many of them can screw the entire raid if not done properly. Nowadays players can easily achieve ilvls well above requirement and can blow through his hp bars without seeing the threat Valtan can pose if left for too long

Don't feel bad about dying in gate 2, your support was not helping you at all. That bard should've dropped at least 5 heals there that get you to full hp but they didn't.

Bro lots people with 1580-1600 i lvl and at least 6 month of play still can not clear Valtan g2 consistantly !! Becuse most people start the game with getting bus not trying to learn , so don't feel bad you done great , compair to lots of "cardrun" i seeing these days !!

I know that doing Valtan blind for the first time is hard, but some mistakes felt like made for the purpose of the video only, you already knew what happen when you take 2 orbs because you did that in you instantly die, but you did that like 3 times for what i can tell from the video, either you're trolling or you're doing that for entertaining. But neither are acceptable if you have a legit group of people that are trying to learn the fight for the first time.

what a weird, elitist comment... someone in the raid said "i could take 2x orbs" so I did? it was literally my FIRST raid with other people learning as well. i uploaded this for the sole purpose of learning & improving and i'm glad i did because i got a lot of good advice here. i'm not sure where you came from but telling me "this isn't is acceptable" is cringe af. i'm doing my best to learn and it's kinda sad people like you make it less enjoyable & more intimidating.

​@@revyll haha I think the guy who said 2x orbs meant that you're doing both orb mech, so you do orbs at 30x bars and 15x bars (so no wei cheese), like how 2x Wei means you do wei at both orbs. Only thing that's not acceptable here is how that guy treats first time raiders where there's so many new things you can easily be confused about like the lingo in this case.

@@revyll is not about being elitist, i already told you that the raid by itself is hard mostly if you're doing it blind like i suppose everyone in the party is. What i said is about you making the same mistake like 3 times when you already know that taking 2 orbs kill you, if you die one time, there is no need to test it a second time when you did nothing different, you can even take all of the orbs if you use a consumable but i'm pretty sure you wasn't trying to test that. What i'm saying is, if you make that type of mistakes on purpose just to make the video more "entertaining" like most youtubers do, cool, i understand that, but that's not cool for the people that are really trying their best to learn the raid with you. If you want to lable me as elitist for telling the truth, go ahead, act as the victim, i don't care, i'm pretty sure, you're not that stupid to not understand that you die for taking 2 orbs in a row when it already killed you 2 times...

Bit tricky on reaper xD Tho u are right, especially spacebar usage can be super clutch.

If u using wei, you only take 1 orb and kite the rest if u take 2 u dead.
