My First Indoor Shower, Crazy, But It Works! Honda Element Micro RV. 25.

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This was a little crazy and maybe a little (or a lot) stupid, but I told my friends it was possible. So I am not one to turn down a reasonable challenge. I think it turned out quite well. It is small but functional. I think some stealth campers might be interested in such a setup.

I use the doggie pool in my tents with the same portable shower head. It’s very convenient & makes glamping more comfortable for me. I’m excited to see you set this up in the Element. Great minds, Bud!!! 💫

This is exactly what I was looking for. I do Driveaway work. I sleep/camp in my SUV sometimes. If I don’t shower at truck-stops or hotels I just use baby wipes. This is another option. Thanks for sharing.

The make shift drain grey water tank system is pretty innovative. This is great because I could just try something like this versus spend crazy money trying to get it professionally done. Thx for the details about the parts at the end.

This was a really early attempt. If I could do it again, I would use a square tube vinyl fencing for the grey water tank. But it did work well as is.

This is a great idea, I'm going to make one too! BTW, the drain hole without the grey water tank provides some ventilation too. On that note, it may be a good idea to fabricate a plug to use when the vehicle is running as it is possible to get some exhaust fumes coming up through the drain hole.

I am so fortunate that my Honda Odyssey has what they call a cargo area in the back it's about 9 in deep in the shallowest area plenty of room for a sturdy rubber bin! Biodegradable soap of course and I'll have to find a place out of town to take a bath Don't want my water draining on the street 🤣🤣💜 dead giveaway that somebody is living in that van 🤣

  • @Debrajoy

That is very important to me I used to have a gym membership and one day I went in to take a shower and there was a whole bunch of hair in the drain It grossed me out 🤣💜 I'm going to have a bathtub in my Honda Odyssey! I don't need to use a lot of water but I do need to have running over me to feel really clean then I will use a little pump to pump the water out.

Great job. I’ve been following your channel for a while and have seen the evolution of your stealth camper. Your inside shower is only the second one that I’ve seen done inside the minivan other than Perpetual Sabbatical rear shower setup. But yours is a no build so it’s very impressive. Great job 😊 👏

Very nice job! I've been wanting to do this to my Element for some time now. I envisioned relocating my spare tire to the roof on a roof cargo tray. Then I would be able to use the spare tire well as my tub. I also thought of using suction cups for hanging the shower curtain to the sunroof. Thanks!

Tony, I was tinkering with spare relocation and big tub idea too :) I just decided it was too much effort for an indoor shower. I figure most my showers would be with my outdoor setup.kzread.info/dash/bejne/i39p1JNrcpq9pJM.html

You could get a spare tire carrier for the back. And use the spare tire area as the tub .it's already built in

Now that's quite creative.. I really like that idea. I wonder if there'd be a way to mount that collection pipe without cutting slits for the yellow strap.. I can just see one of the straps failing and losing the greywater tank somewhere down the road. Still.. it seems like it'll work just fine.

  • @Tiny-Campers

    @Tiny-Campers

Yes, one strap was not really tight. It was not really falling out, I just didn't tighten it we because I knew I was breaking it all down after the video. Too cold for me to be camping in January. But you can use metal brackets and bolts. I chose not to because I wanted to easily remove the tank.

amazon.com/gp/product/B073JF4TM3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1If you are not using a pump sprayer, may I suggest one like this:amazon.com/Hudson-79142-Multi-Purpose-2-Liter-Sprayer/dp/B003ARTX94/ref=sr_1_13?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1518195620&sr=1-13&keywords=pressure+sprayerI was thinking of this instead of the electric pump. I just didn't want to add another large item to my setup. That is why I chose to pump from my water reservoir.

Rick Castillo , I want to keep it removable. I was thinking just a rubber ring or some silicon to the tube for a semi sealed solution.
