My First Impression Of The Machifit QCTP DMC 250-111

In this video i will share with you my first impression of the Quick Change Tool Post from Machifit. This model is the DMC 250-111 with the wedge type lock. I will disassemble it and take a closer look at every part. A quick check of it's function and my personal opinion comes near the end of the video.

Hello, thanks for the video! I wonder what mini lathe you have. I want to buy the 250-111 for my 8x16 mini lathe. Do you know if it's a goog idea? thanks

Hello I don't know if you could call it a mini lathe but i have the Paulimot PM2500. It's a bit bigger than the mini lathe and has it's own design. My lathe is designed and sold by a german company but build in china like the rest. In my opinion the PM2500 is a lot better than the mini lathe. Better quality, a gearbox, stronger and heavier. Of course the price is higher too. A video of my lathe and the modifications will be uploaded in the future. The 250-111 with the wedge design works great. I love it and don't know why i waited so long to buy one. It saves me so much time and trouble. From time to time the tool holders are sold at a discount so my collection is constantly growing. I'm owning around 26 right now.

Thanks for the reply. The test with the file is a good idea. I'am planning to make a second video about this tool post. Like my impression after 2 years of use. I got alot of questions about my opinion after this long time and if i would recommend it.

I'am not sure what you mean. If just the "t" ist missing than thanks for the compliment. I thought about making my own but the tool post was on sale. The raw materials would have cost me the same. If you don't like the tool post than please tell me what are the problems you ran into. I'am using it since two years and it it worth it's money in my opinion.

Maybe just bad luck with your tool post? This is the first time for me hearing about problems. I'am still satisfied with mine and it works great. The plan is to make new videos in the future. I startet my own company this year and time is scarce. When time allows it i will continue making new videos.
