The reason why UK rap has so many knife bars as you call them is because getting a gun the uk legally/illegally is wayyyyy harder then in the states and it also costs way more so most violent crime in the uk is actually committed with knives. see in the UK, bars matter, if you don't have bars you won't get respect from other UK rap fans or other rappers. Most UK rappers are heavily lyrical, JME, Skepta, Chip, Stormzy, Dave, etc, all have bars.

Avelino never been an all time great. Old wretch was fire but nothing comes CLOSE to Ghetts in his prime he would demolish any beat, nobody could touch him. Any OG fan will tell you that. Ghetts album Conflict of Interest is rated one of the best albums of all time in the genre.
