Went to my first Spanish football match earlier this year also. Was at a Real Sociedad home game. Amazing atmosphere and very different feeling when compared to EPL. Way more women and young girls and a much friendlier feeling both inside and outside the ground.

Hi, I am English and was at this match. I live in Spain and have been a Betis fan for many years. A few things you might not know, but Betis have the best away support in Spain and are famous for their support. Also, when Real Betis won the league many years ago, the manager was Don Patricio, who was Irish. There is a statue of him in a park in Seville. I hope you enjoyed yourself.

Lucky you. I visited the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium in Seville way back in 1999 on a school trip. I absolutely adore Southern Spain, and there's something about being around football stadia in other European countries. I don't know if it's the food, the weather, the location and locals, but it's been too long since I've been abroad to visit grounds or watch games. I really need to do Italy, Germany, Portugal and Sweden, just to get a slight "North, South, East, West" perspective.

The "teddy bear toss" as we call it over here in North America is actually a huge tradition in junior/minor league hockey here. It started in 1993 when the Kamloops Blazers(a junior hockey team from the WHL)did it for the Christmas season that year. It has been a staple in Ice Hockey in NA ever since(excluding the NHL, you need a ton of prior permission to even celebrate certain career milestones in the NHL, let alone something like this lmao). The Hershey Bears(named for and play in the same town Hershey's chocolate is from)set the AHL record for a Teddy Bear Toss by throwing 67,309 stuffed animals onto the ice(their stadium only seats around 10k at max capacity to give you an idea)and it took officials around 40 minutes to clear the ice so play could resume. Love to see such a great tradition spread to other sports and around the world. Truly is a wonderful showing of Christmas spirit. Another great video as always!

I actually commentated this game for Swiss TV-station Bluesport, now seeing what happened all around and inside....amazing. Nice video as always!

Bellingham celebrated for longer because a fan was making some gestors at him, btw thanks for coming to one of are games this team and community is one big family that can and will never be separated this club means everything to every Betico

Well done Betis, what a great community club clearly run by people who care. Here’s an even “better” football joke - “I went to see my favourite club away at Middlesbrough (insert appropriate town/club here). I couldn’t find the ground so I asked someone for directions. He said, “just follow the crowds and you will get there.” So I did, and ended up in Asda!” You could replace Asda with Ale Hop when over in Spain of course.

Are club President used his own money from his pockets to help us seal a player on loan last summer he cares about every aspect of Betis as a team and a community he is also starting to help us with money by getting us partnerships to get a boost for transfer money he's also focusing so hard on youth players from Spain he's also helped us start a huge youth academy project over in Africa in Zimbabwe and other places we all love him.

The Teddy Bear Toss is a tradition here in the US and Canada with minor league hockey teams score a goal It's cool to see this in soccer too. Keep up the great work on the videos.

Really enjoyed that video. I was privileged to catch some games in Spain this year and was surprised at the friendliness of it all. Must be the weather makes everybody chill. Love Spain, and Spanish football….hope to see some more.

Betis (and the city of Sevilla as a whole) is legitimately on my bucket list of things to see for myself when I can afford to do so. Thank you for bringing forth a bit of that experience to us here Nieve!

Do it! It is a wonderful city, very much underrated. The best food, people, and the two big football clubs are so accessible. To see a game as a neutral is easy , fun, secure and inexpensive.

Go to Cordoba, it is much more famous and was the capital of Andalucia for many years. There are more historical monuments and you will have a great time there.

Betis is an amazing football club, I am from Madrid but I love this club. It represents well the soul of Andalucia.

New subscriber here, these videos are incredibly moreish, Nieve. Such great insight and it's brilliant to see such variety in your content. This was another fine addition. You know, I've only ever been to one ground in Spain in my life, in 1999 when I was 15. It was the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium in Seville. A small group of us were on a school trip there and were treated to a little tour (unfortunately we didn't get to see a game 🙁). The Spanish are a wonderful bunch, in fact I'm so at ease with Europeans in general compared to Brits, but it's really the Italians I'm desperate to spend some time with, particularly around the football side of things.

The teddy bear toss, as we call it, is very common at Canadian ice hockey games around Christmastime. It’s such a fun and thoughtful event!

I found StuntPegg channel by chance when I was looking for content related to Rochdale football team, which is a team that I chose to train in FIFA 22 career mode totally by chance. Now, after 10 seasons with that team in FIFA, I became its fan and had the great surprise of finding this channel with that girl so cool and funny. Nice content, congrats, not only Rochdale AFC but also you have now a new Brazilian fan.

I am very proud that your first game in Spain was in the stadium of the team I love. As we say around here, viva er beti manque pierda.

Eduardo Galeano, an uruguayan writer and football lover, in his book “Cerrado por fútbol”, tells a story about a Betis fan that carried to the stadium a box with his dead father ashes. The father told his son: “take me to see my beloved Betis”. And so he did. It is incredible how passion goes beyond life and death.

Some very nice cut scenes. Beautiful compositions with the stadium architecture.

What a lovely way to share our culture, much love. One of the most special clubs in the country too. There's a famous video of Madrid players on the bench in a past game talking about how Benito Villamarin hits different than any other stadium in La Liga. They should invite you for the first Barcelona womens game when they reopen Camp Nou, that would be a crazy atmosphere and a top match for people to get to know more about the level of playing and supporting they're at. Your coverage is marvellous and deserves no smaller stage.

Great stuff, Betis was my first Spanish ground back in 2013. Lucky enough to have done over 50 in Spain since then. Also saw them play a PSF away at Havant a few years ago, their directors were superb as they handed out Betis sunglasses to the local fans

My Spanish team is Sevilla because I chose them at random playing Championship Manager in the 1990's. Betis are the enemy in my eyes. However, qudos for the Teddy Bear thing. That's special. ❤

Nice video, you can see a great atmosphere. There is a great passion and feeling for football in Spain as well as in England. New goal Jude Bellingham, what a great player he is, he is going to mark an era in football. I recommend the matches Sevilla vs Betis, Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao vs Real Sociedad.

Yeah different countries have their own specific tolerance to weather. My friend visited Ireland in the "summer", while there she watched the news as the weather person said they were "going to have a heat wave over the next 5 days" it was only 21*C -22*C. Here on the west coast of Canada that's our spring time temperature.

I'm hoping those teddy bear toss events are going to become a world wide thing in team sports one day. I first saw it at a junior Ice Hockey game when I moved here to Canada 16 years ago from London, and I'm pleased to say that that annual event game is one of those games best attended (the toss usually happens when the home team scores their first goal). Anyway, I'm glad you got to witness it, and well done you for taking part. I'm sure that that child who will thoroughly treasure their new Spencer bear - he's a beauty!

A'reyt Nieve. Happy Christmas. What a fantastic video for the season. I watch a channel from Benidorm and recently suggested to the presenter, who was doing an issue on Benidorm FC, that they contact you to drum up interest. I said you might fancy a trip to Spain. It seemed to suit you.

My first match in Spain was at Sevilla v West Ham, my club, in the Europa League two seasons ago. Seville is a beautiful place and we returned for a break a few months later. I also went past the Betis stadium on my later trip. It’s much bigger than Sevilla’s stadium by almost 18,000.

If this was the first game you've been to in Spain then you gotta come visit us in Portugal. I'm a Benfica fan but there are two huge games next round here: Braga vs Benfica and Sporting vs Porto. The bigger match is Sporting vs Porto out of the two so I recommend you go see that one. Also I 100% bet you'll like our food. All 4 clubs are fighting for the title so yeah I recommend.

I remember a feature on Real Betis years and years ago on that comedy quiz, They Think It's All Over. A Betis fan had been taking his father's ashes with him in an empty bottle of Coke as they always went to games together. But they banned him, as you weren't allowed to take stuff like that into a game. And the joke was " It's coming to something isn't it, when you can't take a bottle of pop to a game"!

The sound the Betis fans make sounds deafening just watching your vlog. However it isn’t a hostile atmosphere. Football clubs around the world have a lot of lessons that they can learn from Real Betis. What they do with the teddy bears for charity is something special and something they should be so proud of.
