I would just go right for the er tech jobs. Hospitals are looking for people right now. So, I wouldn't waste time working for ambulance. I got my Emt, and got job as a er tech right away. So go for it.

@@CaseySmithOfficial Cincinnati Ohio UC medical center is a actual clinical training center for US Air Force flight medical providers called CCAT (critical care air transport) that why I say our emergency room techs had to be medics

So glad you want to be a tech! I think is one of the best jobs as a pre-med student. Most ERs want you to have your EMT license so I would start by getting that! And researching your hospitals ER tech requirements

I took the emt class this past spring semester. The number one big thing that will help you is knowing your anatomy and physiology, and knowing difference between the nature of illness and mechanism of injury.

Hey I’m starting my EMT school in a week! The instructor said to bring a laptop or tablet, do you think a Microsoft surface would be enough for the job? I have a desktop computer at home.

I think that would defiantly do the job! I bring just a regular laptop and that is more than enough for notes and class activities.

I start emt school next month and it’s 8 weeks long so it’s gonna go by soooooo fast and gonna have so much thrown at me. Just been trying to watch vids and stuff to get ahead so I know a lil bit of info before the class starts so I don’t go in with ZERO knowledge

In 2:50-2:56 you said that you were an ER tech so the EMT classes are easy because you're familiar with the material. Question: Don't you have to be an EMT before you can become an ER technician?

It depends on what ER you work at. Mu home unit is the ER observation unit but often I was floated down to the main ER. Hope this makes sense

I would look into getting your EMT from your local fire department. The only requirement for an EMT is a high school diploma or GED.

I started in the ED observation unit. That unit did not require my EMT. Now with how busy the main ER is I get floated down there. So I’m getting my EMT to be a permanent tech in the main ER
