I’ve been crocheting since age seven. I’ll be 75 in a few months. I think it’s wonderful that you’re trying to make yourself clothes in crochet! You’re brave! Yes, sometimes it doesn’t work. I suggest you get a notebook, and write down what you like and didn’t like about your project. In this case heavy yarns don’t make good garments. In time you'll have a lot of knowledge, and your crochet projects will be better and easier to do. Keep it up!

One of my favorite stitches is the griddle stitch. Its basically one single crochet, 1 double in alternation. Its nice because its easy, you dont lose track and it keeps my brain on serotonin because its so fun 😂 I used this stitch for the first jumper i ever my totally on my own with measurements and all. Btf I used the EXACT yarn you used in your videos 😂 Chunky Monkey but in colour gray.

It's so cute. I love the pattern. Great job. Frogging projects is necessary. I am trying to make myself a summer top

This turned out amazing! Im gonna have to learn this kind of pattern! I've been crocheting for about three and a half years and I don't know a whole lot of stitches but I've gotten to the point where I rarely need a pattern for something I'm making which is cool. I really like the popcorn stitch and the seed stitch, they're very pretty

I agree, chunky yarn is way to heavy for wearables. Try a dk next time. The patern was actually cute but a bit much for both peices. You do make the cutest area rug though ❤

Thank you so much for mentioning the chainless double crochet starting row technique, it's an aboslute game changer. I struggle with making chains for bigger projects and I had one in the works that I need to make a long chain for and this will save the project

Would definitely recommend “Crochet Stitch Dictionary” , I got it for Christmas and it is filled with all fun different stitches and step by step visuals! & I only know the moss stitch outside of sc,dc,tc,hdc ❤

I just learned how to crochet, im making a crochet mesh robe, so I only know how to chain and single crochet. But I want to learn how to make turn the mesh into a nice lace so the bottom looks different to the top.

Your vest looks lovely ! It doesn't really surprise me that it gets hot though, and that the skirt wasn't too much fun... I've got some Scheepjes colour crafter as well, but I bought it with the sole purpose to make a blanket or throw with it. My experience is that this acrylic ( and Stylecraft special DK, which is mainly the same ) is really nice for home deco, but not much more than that... ( personal opinion, of course )

@@NadiasStudio o, and also... when I knit a sweater with fingering weight/sock yarn, I just put front and back on top of each other for blocking, as well as both sleeves. I just pinned them together, to get them the same size. Don't know if it also works with thicker yarn, but if so, it makes it quite easier to get them alike.
