Usually, when I watch an interesting or informative video, I just leave a like. I very rarely comment. But after this video, apart from the 100% earned like, I had to write that I don't remember I almost watched a more helpful video, and I follow many channels on the same subject with several million followers. Perhaps you could do reviews like this live. At the moment I can't remember seeing it anywhere... Good job!

I just installed a reference 7800xt yesterday to replace an RTX2080 liquid cooled card. So far its quiet and cool surprisingly. Will copy these benchmarks and feedback day by day. I have 2 systems I'm building out of bits so it's on an old 2700x on AIO in a mid tower for ease but the new rig is a crammed in SFF build 7600 (non X) 65w Mini ITX with the 2080 for now at least as didn't want to destroy that build I did last week till I know this 7800 xt is worth it. Playing at 4k on VRR TV and 3440 x1440 UW Gsync depending on if I worked from home and want to get away from the desk and play in bed.😂

Recently I decided to upgrade to this card from my previous RX 580 Sapphire Nitro thanks to how well the former card served me the last 5 years. I must say Sapphire Nitro cards are some of the best looking and performing GPUs out there. Don't mind paying a little extra for them. My card runs at 2699MHz right out of the box at an average temperature of 65°C. The long RGB strip on it's side and the Sapphire logo on top is really beautiful that I just can't help but keep on admiring it. Hopefully the RX 7800 XT will serve me as well as my RX 580 in the next 5 years. Gonna install the RX 580 in my mum's PC now. 😄

A lot of Sapphire Nitro+ branded cards in the past have been over-priced, but this particular model, while definitely more expensive than other models, has a much more moderate price premium over the more basic models, and from what I have seen in all reviews, it really is an excellent model, and it looks great too. With previous generations, Sapphire's best value products have actually been their more basic "Pulse" branded models. From what I've seen, their Pulse branded models have been the very best out of the models which are close to MSRP, though I some of Powercolor's models have also offered a very good balance of quality and price recently as well (though historically, Powercolor was often not great for quality).

I bought a 3080 10GB (back when that was a pretty high-end card) because of the ray-tracing. Ray-tracing is overrated. It is just a small (sometimes unnoticable) increase in image quality for a big hit in performance. It's just not worth it.

Welcome to AMD. I’ve been a pc gamer since way back in the late 90s. I’ve owned a few nvidia cards and they are totally fine but just don’t care for some of their recent business practices personally. I’ve owned amd cards in the past also. No complaints really. In fact 2-3 weeks ago just grabbed a 6800xt since it was on sale for $439 and still competes with the newer 7800xt. Pretty happy with it. Hope you enjoy the card. I think you’ll find they aren’t a bad card for the price.

I got myself this exact card. I upgraded from an 8-year-old Amd GPU (r9 390 8Gig) to the 7800 xt nitro+. My gameplay experience went through the roof, I don't own any of the FSR enabled games & I don't have the AFMF drivers installed this is my opinion from just an overall look at the 1440p performance. A lot of games which I struggled to get 60'ish fps at 1080p went to 120-165+ fps at 1440p with little to no upscaling apart from RSR in some games. Noticed some games were a little bit wonky with the GPU not operating at 100 % capacity. A lot of games hovered about 70- 80 % utilization. Deep Rock galactic for example would not go above 44 fps no matter what I did, but the GPU itself reported only 17 - 20 Ish % utilization, but that was the odd one out so... Yeah Needs driver updates. overall, I'm very satisfied with the upgrade. Recommend if anyone is interested in high refresh rate 1440p gaming.

And in 2-3 years it will be 1/4 of what you paid for it. People think that this era of used cards holding value is going to continue, but they do not understand what is happening in the business markets. Over there HP and Dell are loading up machines with top tier AMD and Intel processors, and everything from a 6800xt to the 4090 can be ordered up as well. Issue is? ALL of them have woefully inadequate cooling for their CPU's. The HP is a take off of a stock cooler config, and the Dells have a 120mm AIO mounted on the back, and any other cooling solution is not feasible in their case. These things are designed for failure to keep businesses replacing equipment through the service contracts. Three years from now there is going to be so many top tier GPU's in the used market that their prices will plummet.
