You should really get yourself a 2 1/2 gallon water unit, they're cheap used, they're good protection and you can recharge them yourself. Plus they're useful for washing the neighbor's dog poop off the deck in the winter when your hoses are in the garage, useful for blasting gutters and skylights from a 2nd floor window, etc. Be sure to get one with a Schraeder valve, the newer Badger ones don't have them.

As far as actual use goes, would you recommend new model First Alert models? Or is it better to avoid them?

I don’t like the first alert brand. Kidde, First Alert and Buckeye are all very low quality extinguishers. I recommend Amerex or Ansul. They’re a bit more but good quality

I find this video very hard to believe like where is your amerex foam extinguisher?
