Im no expert in vox eq, but the problem imo with the sweeping eq method is that, of course, any frequency is gonna sound bad if there's too much of it. That's probably why you have so many 3db notches all over the midrange. You might has well have just taken the fader and lowered the entire vocal 3db. When it comes to problem frequencies in the midrange that I actually hear when just listening to the whole vocal, i only need 1, maybe 2 nodes max. 1 for the nasality in the upper mids and 1 for the boominess in the lower mids. Just something to think about

Good Vocal Chain. Similar as mine. This make me know I'm on a good way. Now I want to invest on better mic, pre, and compressors. I want to buy the new Neve 1073 SPX-D, an interface with the 1073 EQ and preamp and the Neumann U87. With that and a good room treatment I know I will be able to do what I want to do.

Hi Jerry, question on saturation - where do you recommend using decap on the vocal chain?

Question, what do you mean by syncing your reverb to the tempo of the project?

2 Compressors are definitely better than one....cla 76 and rcomp is like fire and ice

If I’m not using the R-Comp then I love the CLA-76 into the CLA-2A.
