My favorite Trans Tik Toks for the 2 year anniversary

Hi! I’m Andromeda (she/they) and thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy!
Hey! It’s the two year anniversary of the channel so today I’m posting several celebratory videos of my favorite Tik Toks from since I started this channel! This is the second of these videos and I hope you enjoy watching!
Hey all!! I’m now selling some merchandise to help raise money for my transition and I recently released the first edition of the queer resource so feel free to check those out! Links are included below.
First, let’s talk about the merch! I’m selling them through two different sites, both of which will be linked below. There are stickers, pins, and magnets which I’m selling through Redbubble - they’re available with several different LGBTQ+ flag options, although I know I haven’t covered them all so if you notice your flag missing feel free to comment it below and I’ll work on adding them in! And I’m selling shirts, sweaters, and hoodies through Teespring; they’re available with a couple different designs including the channel logo, but I’d be interested in expanding the flag options and designs, so if you have anything you’d like to see feel free to leave a comment below suggesting it!!
I mentioned that I’m saving money for my transition but that’s not the only thing the profits will go towards. My plan is for 80% of the profits to go towards saving for my transition, 10% towards funding the channel, and 10% to LGBTQ+ charities. I’ll leave a link to a google sheet below to show how your money is being divided for whatever product you may chose to get. I know the amount towards charities is low at the moment but I intend to increase that amount as I get closer to my goal for raising for my transition. I’m also going to be putting up a poll here each time there is a significant amount of money to donate and let you all choose from a few charities as well as suggest any you see fit!
I’m really excited about this! I was interested in ways I might be able to raise for my transition and bottom surgery through the channel, but I didn’t want to just ask people to donate as I’m aware of the influence that content creators can have and I don’t ever want that to be used to my advantage. I’m happy about this way as it allows me to give back to you all in the form of merch as well as to give back to the queer community as a whole by donating to charities and organizations. I hope that you enjoy this as well and if you have any questions or suggestions feel free to comment them below!
Google Sheet Link (Division of Profits): docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

Now let’s talk about the queer resource!! I want to make sure to convey to you that it is in its beginning stages of development; I have made significant progress on it but it is a time consuming process and between school, work, and other responsibilities I don’t have much of that. The resource is a working document, I’ll be working it on my free time and adding and updating information and resources as it develops. I just want you all to be aware that any missing information and resources in the document right now is likely due to that. For instance, there is a section on queer terminology with definitions and resources and answers to certain questions, but I’ve only been able to go through A-terms and that section with 5 definitions took several hours. But, if I’m missing a definition from that or one of the resources I’ve included and checked over conveys a stereotype that I was unaware of or maybe there is information about those terms that does not appear in those resources and is important to show, feel free to let me know!
I want this document to be as accurate as possible and to not convey any kinds of stereotypes or misinformation so your feedback is always welcome. Thank you for your patience as I’ve worked on developing this and I hope you find this resource useful!

Hey all! The update to the queer resource may take a little longer than I had hoped, this week’s been unexpectedly busy for me, and I didn’t have the time I thought I’d have to get that done. The poem the individual in the middle is reading is one of my favorites. This is how It goes: Once a young woman asked me, “How does it feel to be a man?” And I replied, “My dear, I am not so sure.” Then she said, “Well, aren’t you a man?” And this time I replied, “I view gender As a beautiful animal That people often take for a walk on a leash And might try to enter in some odd contest To try to win prizes. “My dear, A better question for Hafiz Would have been, “How does it feel to be a heart?” For all I know is Love, And I find my heart Infinite and everywhere.

Well, I like the poem “COLORS” by Shel Silverstein. It’s in the book, “Where The Sidewalk Ends”. My skin is kind of sort of brownish Pinkish yellowish white. My eyes are greyish blueish green, But I’m told they look orange in the night. My hair is reddish blondish brown, But it’s silver when it’s wet. And all the colors I am inside Have not been invented yet.

I know this may sound kinda stupid, but someone referred to me as “they” the other day, and it made me really happy. I’m okay with any pronouns, but I don’t like when she/her gets overused ( which most people call me, but I don’t blame them because they don’t know. ) I don’t know if they know I go by any pronouns, ( I used to have them on my lanyard, ) but it made me really happy. I know this is late, but congratulations on your two year anniversary ☺️💕 Your videos always make my day and give me hope that there are accepting people out there💕

Personally, I don’t think society should assume gender based on what people look like. Because if you think about it, that system is built for gender conforming cis people. GC cis people get all the benefit from it, always being gendered correctly everywhere they go, and trans people are made to fight uphill to be perceived the way they need to be. I believe if we were to respect everyone’s identity equally, we would use they/them and gender-neutral terms for everyone until we open conversations about gender/pronouns, or until we can see things like pronoun pins.

@@gpettus9508 I completely agree, but there are so many people who are transphobic that that would never work. Even if there weren’t as many transphobes, I don’t think most people would do it because they think it’s really “rare” and that they’ll be able to “tell” if someone’s trans ( which in a way is transphobic, but they usually mean well. ) I usually use they/them, but I sadly don’t think that will ever be a common thing.

Sure, it kind of depends on the individual person’s comfortability with being compared to someone of a different gender than them. Some people are comfortable with it so it really depends. I think specifying that you were talking about their hair conveyed respect for them well, it shows there was a specific thing about their appearance that made that connection for you rather than just comparing them to a more masculine presenting person. But as I said it depends, I’d say if you’re able to ask that person’s comfortability with comparisons like that then you totally should, and if you don’t know making that comparison in a respectful way like you did is a good way to go about it! I hope I explained that well!

I’d like to say, I love how you include peoples shops and Spotify accounts. It’s really great! On another note… I kinda came out to my brother… we were talking about names and I told him I was planning on changing my name and he asked to what and i said “Well, probably Mars” and he gave me the worst look. And said “do not change your name legally. You know our parents will be devastated if you do.” I’m on the more fem side and also… turns out Agender. (The name currently is mars but idk if it’ll change or not lol) My other sibling goes by a different name as well. My only straight brother said that one transphobic line, as well. “I’ve known you as *[deadname]* your whole lives” (talking about my other sibling) “I’ll always call you *[deadname]* “ I don’t know what to do. At this point I may cut off my parents when I move out for my own mental stability. My brother told me that I shouldn’t do that because it would break my parents… after everything they’ve done to me, they deserve it anyways.

Hey! I got a question for anyone who can answer… So people who use multiple sets of pronouns (I’ll just use she/he as an example here). I find it grammatically confusing when people use them both in the same sentence like “She is so great, also I love his hair!” for the same person. Is it okay if I don’t do that and just switch it up like every now and then/when they prefer?

I am genderfluid and sometimes use multiple sets of pronouns at a time, and for the sake of grammar, you’d typically want to use one set of pronouns in each sentence and switch it up then instead of using different pronouns interchangeably, however some people may feel dysphoric if you don’t use both equally, which is always something that can be helpful to keep in mind. Switching it up ‘every now and then’ also doesn’t always cut it. Hope this helps! Ty for educating yourself :)
