I had a 40’ Raptor that came out in 2008 and was a brand new floor plan at that time. Had numerous issues. Most of the problems were fixed under warranty but required extensive work, including removing one of the slides and rebuilding a section of wall around the bathroom. There were 3 linoleum floors that had to be replaced due to the crappy build quality and after the third replacement, Keystone refused any further replacements of the flooring. I contacted Keystone directly to insist on an extended warranty due to all the issues but was shut down immediately. They refused to stand behind the factory warranty and refused to extend the warranty after all of the issues we’d had. I’m sure the Raptor has come a long way since 2008 but I’ll never purchase another Keystone product. Do your research on this product and company because your stuck once you buy.

So nice when the toy haulers have the doors that are kind of like sliding glass doors but I'm pretty sure its plastic but still when it's cold out it's much better than just the screen doors . . Wish you would go over the type of doors.. looking for something like this because of older kids who need there own room.. just would love this😊💜💜👍👍 I know this is older but it's still one of my favs!!

I was looking at toy haulers until I realized that a 45 foot to hauler with a 15 foot garage is only 30 feet of kitchen/bedroom/living room space. I am looking (soon, hopefully) to move from a Silver Creek Silverback 35QB4 to a Riverstone 39FK. I LOVE that front kitchen and with the kids grown and out of the house, the 4 bed bunkhouse is useless as a screen door on a submarine.

After researching toy haulers I decided to go with the Raptor 424. Picking it up this week. It was between 423 and 424. The 424 won out because of a couple features the 423 didn't have. The 424 has a 1 foot longer garage. A lot more room in the bedroom to access both sides of the bed and most importantly it has a second window in the bedroom. We do 99% boondocking and at night if we don't have a cross breeze in the bedroom it's just not all worth it.

Very nicely done with the description, getting to the point and stating what is important in a timely manner. We've all seen the one's that seem to drag on for days. This trailer is THE ONE! You are absolutely right with the haulers and no living space, tough/impossible to find. You mention the tow vehicle with the 3500/350 and dually. I would take it above that and increase the tow vehicle weight by adding the crew/super/mega cabs and long bed with the 4X4 for the added tow weight. Any smaller a truck would be too small/light to tow this thing with it's weight along with the size, in my opinion.

Outstanding presentation! Not once did I hear you say, "you've got your" or "again", which are completely unnecessary comments that are so very annoying. You have also stopped waving your hands around in front of your camera! AND kept this vid down to far less than 8 minutes! The picture and comment pacing was also excellent and did not drag or need to be sped up! Please keep up these improvements and you are heads and shoulders above other presenters. You already pack in a lot of excellent points and technical information. This is like a nice polish job on top of your great content.

usmckao I wouldn’t like that. I’m not a fan at all for touch screens inside. My sisters camper for example. They have to open multiple screens to turn on lights, extend awning, slides, water pump, water heater, etc. That’s to much of a hassle. Switches are better. IMO

Incommand also allows smart phones to connect to it, and some models are also wifi capable... meaning if you connect the panel to the wifi, you can access it still while you are away from the rig. If you have pets you can make sure furnace/ac is running for them, turn your AC on before you arrive at your site to chill it for arrival, or monitor for issues... Plus it also allows Keystone Customer Service to assist remotely with troubleshooting like doing a screen share with tech support for your computer if you allow them access. Helps you and them diagnose and troubleshoot issues quicker over the phone and get the parts sent. With the touch screen, smartphone/tablet connection, internet connect, manual switches on control board, and the old fashioned override cranks on the motors themselves, technically you have 5+ ways to monitor and operate the rig to control everything vs. The ones that just have switches. On the flip side... it adds some complexity to the system for tech wary folks, but I do applaud them for trying something diffent in the age of home automation and Internet of Things (IoT) era. For the record, I dont work for, get endorsed by, or own a keystone, or any rv for that matter. This is just information I found from Keystone factory tours on KZread where the technical manager gave a long detailed overview on their system.

A great piece of kit... for me (a non-toy hauler) I'd see if you could with the kitchen wall around (eg the one with the microwave in the cabinet, so it's next to the TV cabinet), push the kitchen 3 or 4 feet into the 'garage', have the washer / dryer side by side under a counter top and have a bespoke kitchen / dining / patio area with a more relaxed, private living room space... overall sa gorgeous RV...

JD if you ever get the opportunity check out the 2019 Keystone Fuzion 429. I went and looked at one last weekend. It has (imo) by far the best floor plan out there for a toyhauler. You maintain the 13 foot garage for the kiddos or toys, and in the garage you have a 1/2 bath. In the living area you have an "L" shaped couch facing the TV and fire place. As well as a dinette slide with NO CARPET that can seat 4. The kitchen is good a size as well. The 429 is definitely on the top of my list. I'm gonna search for this one as well. I would definitely like to walk thru this one.

I agree, the best one yet! Just need to delete the secondary bathroom entrance (seriously! Why are those so common? Big waste of wall space!) and turn the bed to recover lost closet space. Then you can turn the shower stall perpendicular and get a much larger shower stall.

Actually, it's because most toy haulers in this class size have a second bath adjacent to the garage. For a retiree couple that doesn't have guests join them much, the 2nd bath probably isn't needed.... but neither is a bigger living room. To each their own.

I love the inside.. as a young buyer i hate those old cheap wood and interior looking rvs. Its so unappealing. But this one looks nice and bachelor looking very hip and modern.. you dont get that elderly people vibe. Its nice but id like to see some with bigger and more windows along with a window in the front on top of the RV.. i hope to buy one at the end of next year so hopefully i can get a good luxury looking model for a good price. Cant wait to get it and put my motorcycle in the back.

You should checkout the riverstone toy hauler. The bed lifts during transit and that is your garage. Just as much room as a traditional toy hauler and the same setup as a traditional 5th wheel. It’s quite ingenious.

Hi, love your channel. QUESTION; I saw the video you did about notched z frames on toy haulers and strength. I'm looking at buying a Fuzion 419 but see some notched and some not for the same year (2020-2021). What do you think is up with that? Thanks

It is very nice 5th wheel unit, but I think they overlooked something, this beauty is to accommodate 6 people or 8 if we go crazy ... lol, whatever ... I miss the half bathroom in the garage because with that number of people inhabiting this 5th wheel ... it's insufficient ... it's my opinion and that's why I love the Cyclone 4005 Fifth Wheel Toy Hauler ... good video

If you live in California, you can definitely afford one of these, when rent is over $ 3000 for a two bedroom and almost 5k for a house, getting a new one and a new truck to pull it with may cost you around 2000 a month...

I just wish the cabinets went to the ceiling. Most people aren't going to use that space for decorations in a moving home and more storage is always good... Even if you need a stepladder to access. Just another place for dust to collect.

Using a stepladder is a deal killer. It's the first thing people hate about their trailers. Our Grand design has all low cabinets and plenty of them. Low cabinets, Coleman air conditioning and Norcold Refer are the most important things.

@@Dive-Bar-Casanova The cabinets can be mounted low so they are accessible. I'm just saying I'd rather have tall cabinets that go all the way to the ceiling where maybe I have to use a stepladder to reach the extra top shelf. You'd have to use a stepladder to dust the top of the cabinets anyway, right?
