My Favorite Strategy with Live Craps Dealer Part 2

Ойын-сауық

This is my favorite strategy played with a live craps dealer. In Part 2 of this video I get to play this strategy with its creator, John Boender of learntoplaycraps youtube channel. In a previous video I explain why this is my favorite strategy. You can see why here.
• My Favorite Craps Bett...
Goal is to start with minimum investment, and as you win, place across all the numbers. After all the numbers are placed, you collect on the first hits to recoup your initial investment, second hit you full press the winnings. At this point you are in a great position if a long roll happens.

    Tried this strategy today. Cold table first - was down to my last $5. Then I ran off a 45 minute roll that hit ATS for some dude that won him $2600 on a $15 bet. I broke even after being down $200. Then got a $50 tip from a fellow player.

    John is an awesome Teacher, a great attitude, and brings excitement to the game no matter what the dice roll. "Let's see what these dice bring us tonight." I really like that as it takes the heat of the the rolls and superstitions. And kudos to Colorup as his respect for others and trying new rolls, systems and players, brings a life to the game that is such a joy! Bravo and thankyou!

    great video. that was alot of fun getting to watch john shoot. The no roll on 7 was just fine. casinos should do the same thing. I was at a table where a guy threw the dice short 3 times in a row and on the fourth roll it was short as well and a 7 came up. they called seven out and the table lost everything. i gave the dealer a hard time for not calling no roll but to no avail. anyway great video. btw they were telling him to hit the wall every time but wouldnt call no roll on the 7 out.

    @@kickroxbarefoot726 Thats the real steal with this strategy. Its based upon statistics and probability coupled with proper money management. You won't always win, but you will have the best chance of winning if you are still on the table after a few short losses on the game. You get time and the opportunity to take advantage of a good long roll.

    Great stuff guys, really enjoy the real deal calls. I'd like to tell you about my favorite strategy. I call it following the trend. If the seven is showing up a lot I bet the don't, and if we seem to get knocked off that don't then I switch over to a do bet. Instead of lay bets, I prefer the higher payoff of hopping the 7/yo for initial insurance. A small bet on hardways if they are showing up. I like your press and take. But I also completely regress all bets on a pass line win. Also two units on the pass line, and one on craps, when starting a do run. Love my insurance. Peace!

    I'm def a "minimize my losses" type of player, so I did this great strat with 20 'shooters' on Wizard of Odds, with a slight change. Once I won a $100 PL bet i racked the whole thing (assuming I'm not shooting), and once I hit a place bet on the second press i took it down. I was never down more than $70 from the buy in, and finished up with ~$450 with only two substantial rolls(one did come early), and half the time (10 shooters) getting on all the numbers and Sevening out before any profit was made. Maybe this would help those asking about exit strategies.

    @@rayabney0925 I guess I'm more conservative. People like to press up. I'm of the thinking that no roll will last forever. If you have made some money on a good roll and you can take down the place bets to lock in even more then do that. I might go take, then press then after 3 or 4 presses total I might take the place bets down. That way you aren't relying on a big roll to make money.

    Yes, just pull down when you are comfortable. I don't like playing a guessing game and miss out on that long roll. with the 4&10, you press every time, but because it pays close to2:1 you are collecting half and pressing half each time. Pass line you are collecting as you go, and when you are comfortable.

    Loved the dealer vibe, so awesome. A couple of observations and of course this is just from my experience on the tables both at home casinos and in Vegas. One, no Odds behind the pass line really limits your wins, even if you just put min odds you should put something there (when he hit the four, it would have paid him 2 to 1 for ten bucks). The other thing is regress your bets after a certain number of hits, and always get your bets paid for first before pressing. That way you are truly playing on house money. Great video and keep up the interesting perspectives ;-)

  • @neilrichey1998

    @neilrichey1998

    Taking odds does not "limit your wins," it does not change your odds of winning whatsoever. this strategy is meant to maximize the money on the PL on the come out roll; because 7 is most likely to roll, and thats a win. Playing min PL in this strategy diminishes your ability to maximize profits on the Come Out. Having a singular focus on just lowering the house edge has made casinos money since their inception, you have to roll the same number a second time to get payed on the odds bet, where you can be a PL winner with the first roll of the dice. Regression or not is all about the gamble. Minimizing losses and limiting exposure to your bankroll in a -EV can is a critical part of a winning session. As far as getting your 'bets paid for' John totally did this with each 'shooter' 'I'm gonna take my money and run."

    After you get everything pressed (or even covered, and starting to take some back in the bankroll) why aren't we going to play the field to get a win on all rolls (without sacrificing any potential losses)? Just seems like after we are playing with house money, why wouldn't we get ALL covered and not just our places? Especially if we are on a rolllllll and working it. Thanks. This is one of the best videos on the channel (covers pretty much every topic haha)

    The field is not a great bet, so I use sparingly. It covers many numbers, but with 20 ways to win and 16 ways to lose 5:4 odds you only get paid 1:1, unless you roll the 2 or 12.

    So just a question I heard in your tipping video about John going with couple hundreds and coming out with thousands. At some point, do you start the strategy over again and take out all of the “pressed” chips and start prob the $5 pass line or do you always leave that in?

  • @ColorUp

    @ColorUp

    Just going to depend on your risk tolerance. You can "start over" anytime you want and that might be the best option for shorter to medium rolls. Problem is we never know if its a shorter roll or "the big one" If you want to go for the huge win, you just keep alternating between pressing and collecting and keep it going. You're collecting along the way, but obviously with each press you are risking more and more money. But if you want to go for the huge win, you can press your initial $22 all the way up to table maximums if the roll is super long. Just do what you are most comfortable with.
