Note that the monthly subscription option with Nemaja's code works out to approx a quarter per day ($.25 USD). If your career is in Photography, it is well worth it. ;)

Can you add your own images to the Optics database? Things like your own skies, sunsets, moons, auroras, animals etc?

I think this plugin is a great tool for those who are masters of Photoshop to save time. But for a newbie it is not good to use plugins because it will limit their skills (it is good to learn new things by doing it itself and once you know how to do it then go with plugins).

I agree that new Photoshop users should learn to do as much as possible w/out plugins, however there are many unique things not found in Photoshop (specialized lens flares, lighting effects, etc)

Can the different fx be moved back to photoshop as different layers without the original image behind it?

Didn't found a way for that. But that would be awesome. Also jt would be awesome to export the layer mask from Optics to PS. I hope that they will make some improvements in a next firmware updates...

@@NemanjaSekulic Agreed. I have a really cool program from Corel called Particle shop pro that's really cool I think you'd love it! It works similarly by opening the image layer, you modify it and then it brings i back in to photoshop but you have the option to bring back just the painting you did and not the base image. This is great for compositing.

Well explained Nemanja thank you. i have been trying the trial version for 2 days now & do like it.. & think it's a really good asset & fun to work with, although it did take me awhile to work out how to get bk to photoshop?.. THE GEAR ICON top left, there is no 'ok' or enter button. See 9:50 & 13:54 of this tutorial. Another great tutorial, 15% off with the promotional code here too, I'm going to make use of that. Uf... It is completely different thing. Oniric is just for glow, Optics is much more. Sorry but there is no straight answer.

Just a questiom: once I've applied the Optic filter on a smart object layer (as u do in this tutorial), BUT I am realizing that if I use a black brush in the filter mask, in order to erase some parts, it doesn't work, if I invert the mask instead it works with the white brush (so I can paint only the parts that I want) but it doesn't work with the black brush again so I can't erase it...Is that normal?

Hey Mike, it should work. I'm not sure how your psd file looks, so can't tell you much. But black color on a white mask should hide the effect.

Finally there's a good offer and I got Optics... could you be so kind to explain a very small thing? On the standalone app, can you paint and then if you missed painted erase something from a mask? Thank you . They need to make much better tutorials, slower paced and with better explanations. The program offers quite a bunch of things. But appart from the filters, or presets, it would be interesting that we can get some tutorial about the tools and possibliities. The tuts they have online are again too quick to understand them really. Speciall as not everyone is english spoken . Thanks for your video. Best regards from Uruguay.

If you are looking for video plug-ins, Boris FX makes multiple products for Premiere and After Effects (and many other video editing apps)

Does anybody know if the permanent license is just a one year trail? It since they only offer 12 months of updates.

The perm license is permanent. License will never expire. Subscription are available yearly or monthly.

Yup, that is all I use for my projects. Simple but you can do a lot with it. Maybe in a future I will update it with more of them, and you can just download it again from your account.

@@NemanjaSekulic I have sent in a ticket to customer support and will call them on Monday definitely I've tried downloading the different versions and all of them say the same thing. When researching I saw that somebody had been sent a key code to register it offline and that fixed it so that's probably what they will have to do for me

@@NemanjaSekulic I was actually able to fix it myself and should probably make a video on it for my 29 subscribers lol, I had to reset my Hotspot on my phone from wired to wireless lol. I am on the road and is only way to get internet

It's really great Plugin but cons of this plugin it literally spoon feed and this is not recommended for Digital Artist who just begin their journey using Photoshop new Digital Artist must still learn the hard way of making a composition. But overall for the plugin this is really nice.

Yes - that is one of the points. Our product Sapphire has been available for After Effects, Premiere and Avid for years. Now the same tools can be accessed in Photoshop or Lightroom. Compare the native lens flare in Adobe AE or Photoshop to Optics. kzread.info/dash/bejne/matspbtxftGegps.html

Depends...If you are living out of your art, then this is a great investment. You are getting a lot tools in this software. If this is just your hobby, than it can be expensive.

Nemanja Sekulic dude come on you have done amazing things in photoshop without any plugins at all. from glows to fire smoke etc they must understand that a plugin is a plugin not a software.

Exactly, you can do everything manually too,without any plugin. I'm not a big fan of it. But if something can speed up my workflow I'm open to it. Just a random example. I have a full tutorial how to make a lightning effect in PS, without any plugin. But with this I can do it at least 10 times faster. This is where I see the value of it. I'm so busy every single day, and barely have some free time. Everything that can get me more free time is appreciated. Hope you understand it. P.S. Plugin is a software. Also this one comes as a standalone version too.

Nemanja Sekulic plugin is a host program a software add -on not a fully software program and im not against plugins and i can understand that sometimes the speed up your work flow its how they price it that im against.... luminar costs 59 dollars and you can do amazing things affinity photo also the same i wont pay 149 dollars to add some lightings.... anw i understand that the video is sponsored so no need to add something else
