This soap is now mature and it is absolutely wonderful! I used no scent or coloring. Works miracles for my grandsons skin as since birth he has had skin issues. Soap lathers well and leaves a clean scent! Thank you

I made the soap just like you said, only I didn’t use anything to scent it. I then let the soap cure for a year. OMG this is the best soap ever. Thank you very much.

@@SunshinePearl I kept in a cardboard box on the plastic knitting board and covered with paper towel. The box is on a shelf in my basement.

Hi Becky! I was looking through my Prime one day and came across this video and decided to look you up on KZread! I had never made soap before and this video made me confident to try! I am now making all kinds of soap with this recipe as my base for friends and family. Thank you so much for all your videos!

You gave me the confidence to go forward with soap making.

I went into this page because me and my aunt got fond and fell in love with Olive oil soaps straight from Jerusalem. It is so soft and gentle to the skin. But we didn't want to wait for someone to go to the Middle east or in Jerusalem just to get this soap. Usually we wait for our friends to go to Jerusalem to have this soap for us. Luckily, though I found this awesome video in soap making tutorial. Thanks you soo much for this video we can now have it in our very own bathrooms as well.

Excellent.

I never worry about getting my soap to trace. I just mix it well then pour it in the mold. Not allowing it to trace allows me to pour it in my mold and it self levels nicely

Does it take longer for it to become solid if your not mixing it longer??

Do you not warm up the oil? Cold oil warm lye? Commercial soap melts fast because they want to sell more. That is why I’m making home made soap. Thank you for sharing your recipe. God bless👍❤️🌺🌎

I did this for the first time today and I'm thinking of placing the soaps in 2-3 places separately in my wardrobes while curing so that the essential oils scent keeps my clothes smelling fresh. has anyone tried this is that a good idea ?

Hello. I like this recipe, and I measured everything exact. I did exactly what you did going along with you, however, my mixture is more like a gravy and isn't clump thickening ad yours. I pulsed with the stick blender a few times and manually stirred. How many times do I do this before the thickness is achieved...I hate if I ruined 50 oz of olive oil. Help😒

Like two tablespoons per pound and discount some of the water to dissolve it and add after trace. Because it can cook and give salad trace

Magic number is 40 days to cure the soap.

Can you use Lye Powder? or does it need to be Lye Beads?

Instead of using olive oil would it work with MCT and tallow and Squalane oil as long as the fat still equals the 50 ounces? (I have sub derm, and malassazia safe oils like MCT and squalane don’t feed it, that is why I make my own soap, it’s hard to buy).

and maam i just want to make 1 soap for my social project so can you tell how much should i add for only 1 soap?? and i dont have scale in my home what should i do maam

You can't "just dump a little in there"!!! There are safe usage rates for EO and FO! I know people are faithful to the soap channels they watch and get super crazy angry when they think someone is doggin' out their soaper but YALL! Please please check the safe usage rate for any fragrance you add to your bath and body products. It's just smart soaping!

Homestead park can i use animal fat heated into oil or even different types of oil instead? Thanks in advance for ur answer and great video.

2675gordo use a online soap calculator. Any type of oil can be used but, that’s a specific recipe needs an exact amount of lye

That’s my question as well

The benefit of this recipe is that you avoid artificial fragrance and colors which can irritate the skin, they just aren’t needed.
