I want a mechanical pencil for writing. I have a uni kuru toga. But the springy feel of the lead annoys me. Does the cushioning point also has similar springiness or the lead is rigid? Is there any other pencils you would recommend? Thank you.

It has not any springiness

I am not an artist. I use pencils from Pentel (P205), Rotring (Tikky) and Uni (Kuru Toga), and Faber-Castell (TK Fine 971X) 0.5 and 0.7. Used to work as design engineer.

@@abhay2623 Uni Nano dia 0.5. This is the Kuru Toga standard: now available for ₹150. I got mine in 2015.

@@sazidsamir3530 Pentel P205 is multipurpose and cheap, but not easily available in India. You can try GraphGear 500 or Graph Gear 1000(fully metal).

Years ago in my college I used to use camlin mechanical pencil sirf padhai ke liye 0.5 so aaj tak sirf yehi use ki hai so literally I had no idea about others and what to use and how to use mechanical pencil for sketching, Aapne 4b ki lead bhi 0.5 wali pencil mein Dali that was new to me so thanks a lot.
