If you don’t have a 360 camera yet I’d recommend the new x4. The x3, x4, ace, acepro, and go3 are all waterproof. They are all great tool for creative videos. Let me know if you have anymore questions. 😁

Thank you 🙏🏼 Unfortunately the Mandarine subtitles are slow and a bit expensive to add to a video of this length.

How would you recommend to mount the x3 for rafting and hiking (hands free)?

Does the raft have a frame? Are you using it in white water? What class? For hiking hands free you could mount the 360 camera to your backpack. There are really so many ways to mount the cameras. Just depends on what mounts you have.

@codylander For the backpack, do you mean just wrap it around the straps? Or that special backpack mount that they sell? As for the raft I am not sure as my friend made the reservations but I am guessing no frames.

@@kead6636 for hiking you could mount it on a selfie stick and have it coming up from behind you out of the backpack. That would give a top down style shot. If you want a POV perspective you could get a mount to attach it to the shoulder straps. But the selfie stick is my favorite way to capture video. For rafting. I’d check to see if they will allow you to bring your own camera. Some companies might have some restrictions. But if you’ve never been or aren’t taking your own boat I’d recommend a helmet mount. I did a summer of raft guiding on class 4-5 rapids in Washington. It can get pretty bumpy at times and the instructor is going to be needing you to paddle. If it’s a chill float then you could probably just take the selfie stick with you and get some nice shots. The challenge with that is where will the camera be in between uses? It would be lame to lose the camera on accident. All of that to say I’d just check with the company. 👍🏼

Have you seen the review about insta 360 corruption. You Tubers are boycotting them not because of their cameras but their business practices. Well known You Tubers have removed all of their videos. The only way for them to recover is to drop their prices significantly. They are not going to fix this with PR. My advice is to drop the price of the x4 and ace pro to reinvigorate the brand. Money talks.

I have seen some reviews on this. I’m located in Taipei, Taiwan. So the contact of the brand that I deal with is a completely different team than the creators in the USA or elsewhere in the world. So for me I feel strange about it because my experience is quite the opposite. The only pressure I have ever felt from the team I’m working with is to tell you (the viewers) a list of specs. But that’s a very common practice now that I’m a little more seasoned with product review. As to how they will fix the issue I don’t know. All I know is insta360 is a great product. Nothing is perfect but there is a reason I’m constantly taking it with me. 👍🏼
