Russian navy was my first OPI polish

I decided to take the plunge and purchased "Step Out Of Line." I'm fair-skinned and dark colors are that much more impactful as a result. So inky, yes. Love that the formula is self-leveling because the right side had a few rough patches, but smoothed out. I am a blue fan, so thank you for curating a list of blues for us.

Essie Step Out of Line did not stain at all for me, and it was easy to clean up & remove without staining cuticles. It's really great!

Hi, Laurie! A very very close dupe for "Opi Grabs the Unicorn by The Horn" would be China Glaze "Sample Sizing Me Up". I think it came out that same year as the Opi one and from the fall collection as well.

the blues that I have that are my favorites are Essie blooming friendships, Essie where's my chauffeur, Essie to me from me, and OPI angels flight to starry nights. I'm surprised Essie to me from me doesn't get talked about more and doesn't seem to sell well because I always really liked it from the start

I would love to see an in-depth short video of your method for your notes. I just find it interesting seeing how people's thought process when they are reviewing or cataloging things.

So many great blues to consider! I also like O&J’s “Social Studies”. (Although it’s a pretty thin formula, so I don’t pull it out very often) and Essie’s “To Me From Me” which is definitely more warm leaning. I did pick up the Orly deep blue from the plot twist collection and it is SO good. ❤️

Thank you for the video, very fun as always! As someone who isn't a big fan of blue nail polish, there is one I really love: Essie Blue-tiful Horizon (Desert Mirage Fall 2018 collection). I don't know if it's still available anywhere, so glad I have it, it's one of the most unique polishes ever! 💅

And you sre so right, they look great with browns, since I can't really wear orange either. 😄 I really appreciate these Fav videos because there are such good colors from previous collections still available. Less is Norse was my first OPI bottle and I love and enjoy it every time I’m wearing it. Another favorite of mine is Award for best nails goes to from the Hollywood collection, the color and the formula are awesome. I guess this one is quite similar to isn’t it grand avenue? Had to stop the video as soon as you talked about OPI Grabs the Unicorn by the Horn… the Scotland collection has been my all time favorite collection since it released. I have many of them, but not that one. I found it at Polish Pick. I checked to see which ones they have of that collection left. All of them!?! *Adds them to cart!* It’s a little early Christmas gift to myself. The collection is now complete, even the two exclusive matte shades! 😮😂❤🤷🏻‍♀️ (I considered getting a second bottle of the 2 or 3 I’ve worn so many times they’re getting low.)🤦🏻‍♀️

Back in the days (10-15 years ago) when MAC used to do nail polish, there was one called “Black and Blue” it’s one of my favourites of all times, I loved it so much I bought 2. I still have one left and savouring it as it’s discontinued. It’s almost black but blue, I’m going to order the OPI Holidazed Over you and hopefully is a good replacement/dupe. Edit to add, Rimmel has a beautiful one called 397 Electric (Wear Maxx with Lycra and minerals, but discontinued) but they re-released and formulate to “60s” recently as 902 Moonlight Magic as part of Rita Ora collection. It’s inky dark navy with subtle shimmer/micro glitter. Maybe a dupe for Chanel Ciel de Nuit, minus the silver glitter. You can’t really see the glitter unless you’re really up close but every now and then when it catches the light and the nails gleams. Stunning!

First, thanks for the matte top coat hack...I'm def gonna try it!!! I bought my first bottle of Less Is Norse this summer & I LUV it! I do wanna see if I can find Unicorn 🤞I already tried to find Study Tips while I watched this, no luck yet. After School Boy Blazer is a color I've wanted since well before I started buying Essie polishes & I see it often but never get it 🤷‍♀🤦‍♀ Infinity Cool is still a top fav navy & it hurts that they discontinued it, but I don't think I'll have a problem finding a new one to love. Remember when Russian Navy was the navy to beat!?!?! Now, we can choose from so many!

Russian Navy is my favorite “navy” blue but it has a deep purple metallic. Probably why I like it so much! I love purple, but feel I can’t pull off many of the purples I’m drawn to.

I'm not a big blue wearer, but I love Essie Infinity Cool, Booties On Broadway, After School Boy Blazer, and Zoya Jen. I have OPI Holidazed Over You but haven't worn it yet, but now that I replaced the brush with a paddle brush I'll definitely be wearing it. Fun video as always, Laurie!

I think "OPI Grabs the Unicorn by the Horn" is very close to OPI "No room for the blues" which I recently got at Marshalls. Although the latter may not be as teal leaning. I love blue nail polishes and have a ton of them. My favorite fall blues are Sally Hansen InstaDri in Slow M-Ocean and Salon Perfect in "Way Back When"
