There were some episodes I really liked like this one, Boom Boom out goes the Ed, Every Which Way but Ed, This Won't Hurt an Ed, and even They Call Him Mr Ed, but there were also episodes like Smile for the Ed, Tinker Ed, and Mission Ed-Possible. Still better than Season 3 imo with its episodes like If it Smells like an Ed, My Fair Ed, X Marks the Ed, and 3 Squares and an Ed.

They really had fun with the 5th season

Ed, Kanker Sisters, Rolf, Kevin, Sarah, Eddy (you could argue Eddy and Sarah could switch places), Johnny (as long as he isn't Captain Melonhead or Plank in danger), Jimmy (technically could be higher if push him far enough like the episode where everyone thought Double D was a bully), Nazz, Double D

Eddy is pretty lucky that he was caught by the kids. Because he was planning on taking the money, the school would’ve eventually noticed the money was missing and he would’ve likely been expelled and possibly arrested for stealing money from the school.

One thing I appreciate about this season, you see characters you don’t normally see go toe to toe with each other, in this example Nazz vs Sarah. Usually they are friends and are on the same side, but here seeing the COMPLETE difference in strength, was refreshing somehow…also Nazz deserved it, Sarah didn’t actually do anything and you calling me “monkey face?” I’m slamming that toilet on you too sis. 💁🏾‍♂️

It just isn't Ed Edd n Eddy at its best like Seasons 1-3. 4 definitely started slowing down a little, but it was still so damn good. 5 is when the creators knew it was time to end it before it would jump the shark.

@@citrusblast4372 All of these episodes are masterfully animated, Danny himself directed every single episode/special of the show, _aside from one segment._ A good majority of the show is built upon nothing _but_ keyframe animation rather than weighing on in-betweens, which is not only artistically liberating, but it's _very_ difficult as that relies greatly on expressive storyboard posing. Added with all of the accent drawings, unique gags and cartoony exaggerations, the storyboard artists were practically making _animated comics_ rather than animation frameworks. You have to check out the storyboard art for the show, it's crazy how much the artists held the show's visual style dominant. This is how _real_ artist driven cartoons are made and I wouldn't have it any other way.
