I love that 1. it's got 4 pickups, and 2. there's a lipstick on there. I had a Strat that I modified with a single-sized humbucker in the bridge (I think it was an SD Hot Rails pickup), a cheap Guitar Fetish lipstick pickup in the middle, and a vintage-style single coil in the neck. It had a crazy variety of sounds, and the lipstick was always one of my favorites to play around with, it just had a great sound to it. Especially in the middle, which I would have otherwise almost never used because it wasn't the bridge or the neck. With the lipstick in there, it totally changed the sound and made me love it!

“Good rhythm” is sorely under-emphasized in technical guitar studies. The ability to play sixteenth notes rapid-fire with sixteenth rests is technically more demanding than playing sloppy eighth notes with residual noise. If you’re a rhythm player, this is both gospel and second nature.

Hi, I'm in the UK and in the late 70's I had a JHS "fuzz" - the JHS stood for John Hornby Skewes and they are still going now. I've always found it odd that your company is also called JHS (obviously your name) but has there been any confusion/conflict with it? I remember the pedal sounded just like the Park - more overdrive than fuzz (and it was blue too..) :-)

Matt Gilbert He was a tortured guy. Have you ever seen the documentary on him from maybe the early 2000s? Some fans try to help him out, by doing a benefit concert, and filmed what his daily life was life. He had no health insurance, living in poverty, and had no idea how many people loved his music. He ended up not being able to play during the benefit, as the situation became too much for him. He had some family that seemed to really be trying to help him, and he made it to 71, so maybe they did.

Many of my friends go to the RAMP, and I am a Children’s Pastor and guitarist at our church Hope Alive in Hamilton. I have been enjoying your videos but it was cool to know someone locally has been so successful. I am working on my second self produced album, and am going to purchase your Pulp N Peel V4 when I get a chance, to use on the album. I already liked the way it sounded, and the dirt switch, but now that I know you are from here and have a church background, I’m going to buy even more of your products in the future.

hey I have one and love it but be warned, the preamp is always on meaning the input volume and bass/treble controls will always affect the signal. Unity gain(not clipping) is about 11o'clock on the input volume knob, and there is a little bit of white noise in the preamp that is always on. These are all characteristics of the original tape echo that they were modeling and they can be really useful but they can also be problematic if they dont play well with the pedals/amp/guitar around it so be advised. If you want to avoid the constant affect on your tone you'd have to use a switching device of some sort.

I like that you added the drummer and bassist to play together with you so that we can hear the pedals in a 'real world' situation. Often times I have heard pedals sound amazing on its own only to be buried once the drummer and bassist start playing.

Well thanks to you I'm looking longinly towards hardware pedals:)
