We have tried many different chrome powders and the Chroma Chrome by Columbia Coatings is our favorite
Like all chrome powders you have to clear coat in order for it to last, however this has a tendency to dull out chrome powders.
Chroma chrome with the wheel clear is a perfect combination. Yes like others the clear does fog or dull out the chrome a bit but in our opinion this is the best combination we have used.
The customer needs to understand that chrome powder coating is still a powder coating its never going to give the depth of actual chrome plating. In our opinion chrome powders look more like a nice polished aluminum but as long as everyone is good with the look that's what matters.

Looks great! Ever have any issues with wheel vibration after? We have seen it many times with wheels that got the mounting face of the wheel powder coated.

No we haven’t but I have heard of others that have. The problem with leaving the mating surface bare and running in the winter, corrosion would start immediately
What should i expect to pay a local shop here in Cincinnati? 17” ford dually wheels. Love your work btw

They looked a lot more chromey before clear 😂,does the clear half to be applied?

Yes unfortunately it does require a clear and it does full it some, more of a polished aluminum in my opinion
So how do you clean tue wheels with this powder? Soap and water? Can you use a compound to shine them?
