Thank you for your recommendation on this. I was using a cheap little muti-outlet thing before and never really gave it much thought, and after plugging into this it did change the sound of my system. I'm not exactly sure how or why but something changed. I never would have thought... Thanks again.

Hi Tharbamar, have you ever considered reviewing other peripheral gear such as dampeners which (highly) improve acoustics when a speaker needs to rest on a desk, or wide (3m), low profile hifi furniture - the waf stroke back so stands (nexus 7i from Atacama) got out of the way)? I've been searching through the web and was curious about iso acoustics stuff. Award winning, many references from studio guys or classical music conductors and musicians, but the price is amazingly high. So worth it or not, I don't know... I've got Sorbothan feet for now on my vinyl deck and some Hudson hifi silicon feet below my loudspeakers. Did improve the sound, but nothing close to my expectations... still rambles.

This thing looks astonishingly good for the $. Unfortunately got to this months later. Do you (or does anyone here) know if it will soon be available again on eBay, or anywhere else for that matter? I’ve got a Tripplite that is working great, but wanted to add a unit like this one. Hate thinking that I missed out :(

If u need a power conditioner, try TICE brand. U can hear the quietness in & between the music.

I currently use Russ Andrews X6 Block.. May upgrade to iFi PowerStation in the future! 🙂

Thank you for posting this. The one you recommend does not appear to be a surge protector (one of the other generations is). Nor does the description show that it has any filtering capability. Did you look inside to see if there is any surge protection or filtering circuitry? Also, how did you find out the retail price was $250? Shipping for me is $22. More than the unit.

Yeah I’m not sure about surge protector, I’ll have to open it up to see how it look inside, regardless of surge protector or not this power distributor is much better than any other $100 or more AC power distributors made of plastic with cheap parts and Made in China. If this is good for Air Force it’s more than good enough for me. I can’t answer price question publicly. Update, it just have the circuit breaker, thanks

I tried isolation transformers before it didn’t improve anything in my system because I have no noise problems and I have my own transformer for entire house from utility company, but they are great help if you have noise problems in your system, otherwise you may not need it, thanks

Isol 8 mini sub axis is the best in the world, most other things sound either harsh or unnatural. I have almost heard all that is out there, so trust me I know.

Hi I try looking for this strip....I only found one with the white rocker switches.....Ed in New York 😎

So, they are substituting a quality, but different, product. No main switch. Minimal packaging. Typical power cord (nothing heavy duty.) Can't tell where it's made. No product info. I absolutely appreciate you sharing your find.

This is the first time i see a US power distributer with switches. i always wonder if it is dangerous pluggin in equipment into US wall outlets since they dont have switches unlike the UK design.

It’s all depends on the location, i.e Florida is not a great place to plug in directly to the wall, this unit designed for and used in U.S military. Everything inside is point to point wire connection without any solder, all crimped on connection with good quality parts.

Can I use this in Vietnam where the Voltage is 220V? would i need a step down transformer with it as well?

This is "ME "after using it a day. maybe it's too earlier to say, maybe it need burn in, but i don't think it's need to be. To me it's not an audiophile product. I have tested Niagara 5000, Denali 6000 and panamax Mr4300. This power strip is not good for audio. Why because it's remove the music flow, the energy, the lifeness. The same problem with Denali, Yes it lower the noise a bit, but you will miss the vibe, you will listen a boring music. like eating good food without the smell. This is the same problem using Hospital grade receptacle. And if you have a good musical receptacle, better not using it with this bar. If i have to advise someone to begin with, buy a good receptacle, it's worth more than conditioner . After many receptacles, i like the natural one; the Synergistic Blue, and Maestro. The Furutech GTX NCF, i say it's awesome, but not for audio, it's more for home theater application. Best choice for me lowest cost, get a panamax mr4300 for the source, DAC, PC,Pre,CD. Amp always in the wall with a good receptacle.

Do you use it as main power distributor for all the components? I only use it for turntable and SACD player, I’m comparing It with brick wall power supply in my system and I preferred this for more dynamic and open sound stage.

@@Tharbamar Hi. Yes it's very good for the money. Like you said as main power it's perfect, as many i tried this one is best, i love it if using it for low end system. Even it's better than the hubble cryoed from Take five audio receptacle. But if adding a good receptacle to the chain, i would not using it. The problem with audio when trying to strip the noise interference , it shut down the upper end, the air flow in the flute, the voice. If i have to chose this bar and Denali, i would chose this more than Denali 6000, it's not about money i'm talking here, but the music energy. If somone has experience with Denali 6000 vs Niagara, would understand. Just let everyone know, the Denali, we can't plug the Amp to it, but with this power bar we can. I would invest more in receptacle than power conditioner,or bar. And would chose Maestro over Furutech GTX NCF. Conclusion : yes this bar is very good for the money. base is stronger" dynamic" open sound stage, but it's take off the natural air of the upper end a bit. I don't like after long listening. And i Tried this bar with brick wall, with 2x Yamaha DXR 15p in Karaoke also, My wife said, it sound better, but still don't know if the worth the add, because missing something she can't describe. and prefer back to normal power bar.

Maybe also it's need burn in, It's remember me when i bought the Harbeth P3ESR new to give for my brother in law . He didn't like it, he said it's not the same as my P3ESR, the sound of the new one is more clear, punchy, and open sound stage, but the music is not reaching the heart. Than i bought 4 pair P3ESR for comparaison, from serial 1700 to 4995. and realize, those Harbeth need to burn in for 6 month to the sound get natural to the heart. When the oldest pair, sound stage close in, became muddier, etc. sound degrading. So his friend and him, and me doing meditation, came to conclusion, Music need to feel in the heart to say it's a good system. It's like a good singer, bring the energy from the under belly, to the lung and heart then the neck, normal singer may have a good voice but energy only from the chest. i don't know if you can hear this different.
