I carry a Smith and Wesson Shield 45. The grip texture is phenomenal. The recoil springs tame it to the point of being like a 9mm. Less capacity but bigger holes.

Glad to see the XDS-45 getting some love. My Mod 1 is a solid performer and it’s regularly in my carry rotation.

Love it. I carry a Shield 45 with 6+1, with 2 7 riund magazines for back up. That's my low profile winter carry.

I own and occasionally inside waste band/belt carry my Smith & Wesson M&P Shield .45 acp with an external thumb safety. Very accurate, reliable and safer to carry than any "Glock"! My current EDC is the Smith & Wesson Equalizer having 10, 13 and 15 mags.. I sometimes carry the S&W M&P Shield .45 acp as a back up; both only 6.4 inches long.

Keep the content coming. I didn’t start out a huge fan of the videos until I actually started watching them all. Expanding my mind when it comes to subcompact and pocket carry. Also I used to think it was 9mm or nothing, but now I’m thinking about trying the other calibers out.

Nice choice! A true power house and versatile handgun. The way I do things is I buy what I like and what works for me. I don’t let others influence my choice on what I like. They can tell me my firearms are obsolete all they want but I’ll out shoot them on any course with a micro 9 or 40 and they can use a full size. Respect and thanks for watching

I 💙 the .40 and the Glock 27. In fact, after 34 years in LE with daily carrying of a 9mm (and .45 for a few years within that time period), I’m now retired and prefer .40 as my EDC. In fact, I’m right now visiting family in another state for new years and I brought my G27 + two spare magazines inside of my new “Ammo Armor” magazine sleeves.

I carry 9mm 75% of the time the rest of the time im carrying my 45 thats what i perfer 9 and 45 theres nothing wrong with any of the calibers you mentioned in the beginning of the video like you said its a matter of training with your firearm is what makes it effective you could carry the best caliber in the world whatever it maybe be but if you dont train with it its not as effective as me with a 22 six shooter .... i hope everyone trains there butt with there carry guns and have confidence happy new year guys

Great video as usual! However I NEVER trust an extended “plus” base plate that takes the standard OEM factory magazine spring that the magazine came with. It’s a combination that I don’t trust for 100% reliability, as I had bad experience with in the past. The factory mag spring is weakened by adding extra “space” for it while inside the magazine when using a “plus -X” magazine and when you’re getting close to firing the last 1 or 2 rounds. Now for a range toy, sure I’d use aftermarket mag extensions and springs. But for police work and/or EDC carry (now retired), or basically something I’m trusting my life with, then there’s no way in hell I’m trusting extended magazine base plate combos with or without factory springs. This is just me. I’d rather carry a 9-round factory flush Glock 27, 33 or a 10 round Glock 26 magazine with two spares in my pocket. At least I know that unaltered Glock factory mags will work 100% of the time without alteration and I can reload fast enough as it is. These are just my thoughts and what works for me. Respect for those that operate differently. 😊

I wonder if the Springfield XDM in 10mm is as good as the XDM in 9 and .45? I've seen it for $499 with 4 EXTRA MAGS and a range bag on PSA every now and then and I'm tempted by the great deal.

I have the 4.5" XDm in 10mm and it shoots great. I am more accurate with it than my other nines for some reason. recoil is smooth with the light on the front. Funny i was wondering what the xdm 45 was like. probably going with the Ruger American compact 45acp.

Hey SPN, I need some help. I finally convinced my mom to get a handgun. Me and her was thinking about her getting a 38 special for about $300 But at the store the employee kind of bullied my mom into buying a p365 for $700 and I told her that we will just shop somewhere else and comeback. What do you think? Revolver for home defense? .380 acp? I’m not too sure what for elderly women. Thank you

Hey man, that’s what they do at gun stores. They think they know what’s best for you and it’s infuriating. On this same video, there is a comment saying the same thing. My moms favorite handgun is the smith and Wesson .380 ez. It’s 8+1 of .380 and is extremely easy to use. Has a rail for a light and if you mom has arthritis or is getting older it’s perfect for her! After my double wrist surgery I carried it for a year so I wouldn’t mess my hands up. It has basically zero recoil compared to 9mm and is almost like shooting .22 lr. It’s very easy to manipulate and handle. I would recommend that! You can get them for like $350-400

Your the one who said you can shoot pin point accuracy and I don't know who you been taking to the range but the one I have seen want be back if te only thing they shoot is a 40 or 45 act because they can't hit nothing
