The Chinese versions of EXO songs are my favorite versions. And anyone who doesn't watch the Chinese versions I think are truly missing out. If you like EXO's Chinese versions, you will probably feel the same way about Super Junior-M's Chinese versions of their songs too. (Super Junior-M is the Mandarin Chinese sub-unit, but they produce all their songs in both Korean and Chinese too.) It's kind of like how WayV's Chinese versions of their songs have a completely different feel then their Korean or English versions. I think the difference in the songs you are hearing between the EXO-K and EXO-M versions, aren't just because they are different singers. But I think the songs are intentionally structured to sound a little different because the style of song and what appeals to a Korean audience is different than the music style that a Chinese audience is drawn to. So, for example, Chen's and Luhan's voices in the EXO-M MV is meant to have the more lyrical sound and style of Chinese songs, where Baekhyun's and D.O.'s more sultry R&B vocals are what Korean audiences like. I am so glad you also took the time to watch the EXO-M version of all of these songs, but especially "Mama." Now you see why it was important to see both versions. If you watch all versions of everything EXO does -- even if you don't react to both -- you might be able to understand a little more about EXO's mission and everything they have been sent to Earth to do. Although, the EXO-K and EXO-M versions of their MVs may look similar on the surface. None of them ever use the same footage in both MVs. The scenes that look the same only look the same because they wanted them to, but they were all shot separately. Even when all 12 or 9 members are involved in both MVs, it's never the same because the members are all given different parts depending on the version that you watch. The EXO-K or Korean versions are meant to tell the story from EXO-K's point of view, where the EXO-M or Mandarin versions tell EXO-M's side of the story. As you know, "What is Love," "History" and "Mama" were all released in 2012, so this is more than 9 years ago. Xiumin, the oldest, was about 22 at this time and Sehun and Kai, who are the youngest, were about 18. However, Suho and Kai were the members that trained the longest with the company before they debuted. Suho was a trainee for 7 years -- he began when he was about 14 years old (he was about 21 when he debuted) -- and Kai was a trainee for about 6 years -- he started training when he was about 12. But Baekhyun was only a trainee for about 6 months before he debuted. He was one of the older trainees at about 20 years old. So this just goes to show you the amount of hard word, dedication and talent that EXO has. In the beginning EXO's Mandarin MVs were subbed in Korean to help them appeal to a Korean audience.

In Korean Mama is a term they use to address a leader or king or queen. It's a term of reverence and respect. It's similar to saying "Your majesty." If you watch very many historical Korean dramas you will hear the characters call the royal family, and especially the head of the royal family or leader, "Mama." So, in this song, they are speaking to the leader or deity who sent them to Earth, essentially asking, "Now that I'm here, Your Majesty what should I do? How do I fulfill what you have sent me to do? etc." (They use the Korean word in the Chinese version to keep the connection between the two groups.) From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet EXO and they came to Earth with superpowers to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. As you have seen, each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one if not all of them using their powers. The symbols you saw represents each of the members and it has to do with each of their powers. For instance, Kai's symbol is a pyramid and it represents teleportation, and Lay's symbol is a unicorn and it represents his power of healing, etc. (In future MVs and other things to do with EXO, when you see things like a pyramid, you know that is a reference to something to do with Kai, etc.) Even the most minute of details in EXO's content has something to do with their origin story and EXO's storyline. Exo, as in exoskeleton, means "outer," so as a member of EXO they are outside the ordinary. The groups concept comes from the real term exoplanet, which is a term that is used for a planet that is outside our solar system, so their name was chosen to represent the fact that they are stars that are "out of this world" when it comes to their talents. EXO's concept is also connected to real life planetary and solar events so many of EXO's comebacks and new song releases for the main group of EXO are connected to when eclipses and other planetary phenomenons take place. For example, their War album and Power album release and comeback coincided with when we had a solar eclipse, etc. SM Entertainment has all their release dates and concepts planned out for years in advance and it often has something to do with real celestial events that are predicted to take place. So, as you discovered, the two worlds the narrator is talking about is The EXO-K version of their world and the parallel universe which is EXO-M's version of their world. And the Tree of Life is split in half representing the two groups -- one half is EXO-K and the other half is EXO-M. They are separate and yet the same and when the tree of life is reunited they will become one once again and restore peace in the universe. However, as you know, since then 3 of the 4 Chinese members have left the group (short answer to focus on their solo work back in China) but there is still one Chinese member left, Lay. (Any performances or MVs you watch that took place prior to May 2014 you will see all 12 members.) However, now -- because they no longer have enough Chinese members -- they no longer do separate promotions, but they still produce almost all of their main track songs in both Korean and Mandarin they just now promote all as one big group EXO with 9 members. In the EXO-K version of "Mama" the EXO-K members -- Suho, Baekhyun, D.O., Chanyeol, Kai and Sehun -- are using their powers to search for and meet up with the EXO-M members. That is why you see the K members traveling to find the M member. For example, you see Kai using his power of teleportation as he searches for the M members and you see Baekhyun use his power of light and Suho with his power of water, Chanyeol with the power of fire using his Phoenix wings, D.O. with the power of earth and strength and Sehun controlling the wind. Because Xiumin is a member of EXO-M, you see him appear in the mirror because the K members are searching for him and he is being summoned, etc. As the story goes, when EXO arrived on Earth they did not all arrive together. Their story starts out that they were dropped on Earth in different locations all over the world and they have to search for each other and meet up, kind of like in a quest, before they can begin to figure out how to accomplish the tasks they have been sent to Earth to do. This will become clearer if you watch their Pathcode teaser videos that were released leading up to their "Call Me Baby" MV and comeback. (All the teasers are on SM's/EXO's KZread channel.) When you see the members all together in their "Mama" MVs they are together because they are still on Planet Exo, where they are still united. But when you see them separated it is when they have all been sent to Earth. They keep flashing back and forth between present moments and recent past moments. So, how I interpret it is that at the end they aren't back together yet, but that is a scene from when they were still on EXO Planet as they are preparing to be sent to Earth. The two worlds the narrator talks about in the introduction could possibly be different dimensions, so you often see parts of their story which could be interpreted as them being in different dimensions or time periods or different moments in history. Each of the members in EXO-K has a counterpart in EXO-M so part of what you were seeing in these MVs was them showing you which EXO-K member corresponded with which EXO-M member. For example, Suho (EXO-K) with the power of water corresponds with Xiumin (EXO-M) who has the power of frost/ice and Chanyeol (EXO-K) with the power of fire is Kris' (EXO-M) counterpart because he is the power of flight, and as you saw in the EXO-M MV, Chanyeol has the power of the phoenix and Kris has the power of the dragon which both animal spirits have fire elements and flight, so they connect; D.O. (EXO-K) with the power of force and Chen (EXO-M) with the power of thunder/lightning; and Sehun (EXO-K) who has the power of wind is connected to Tao (EXO-M) who controls time; Baekhyun (K) with the power of light and Lay (M) with the power of healing; and Kai (K) with teleportation and Luhan (M) with telekinesis; etc. That's how they maintain their bond even as members of separate groups. Also, each member in EXO-K has a counterpart in EXO-M that fills the same role in each group. For example, D.O. is the main vocalist in EXO-K and Chen is the main vocalist in EXO-M; Baekhyun is the other main vocalist in K and Luhan was the other main vocalist in M; Chanyeol is the main rapper in K and Kris was the main rapper in M; Sehun is the lead rapper in K and Xiumin is the lead rapper in M; Kai is the main dancer in K and Lay is the main dancer in M; and then it's Suho is a lead vocalist in K and Tao was a rapper/vocalist in M (I'm not sure how these two really work together because Tao is more of a rapper and Suho is a vocalist, but because they are the last two they are put together.) Kai does the screamo part in the EXO-K MV. And the "tattoos" on Kai's face and body say EXO and also all of the EXO members names, or at least the 6 EXO-K members names, as well as EXO's symbol and other hidden clues to EXO's origin story -- go back and study that scene and you will be surprised what Kai's "tattoos" really say. (Although it looks like Kai does the high note, the voice you are hearing is Baekhyun.) Now that you have seen "Mama" and are starting to understand EXO's backstory, as you watch all of their other MVs, it should make more sense to you if you keep in mind all the details about them being aliens with superpowers and how they are on a mission, etc. Plus, you should also know that all of SM's groups' MVs and storylines are connected. aespa's storyline is even connected to EXO's story. As is SuperM, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, and maybe even some of Taemin's solo content and SHINee's new MVs, as well as maybe even Super Junior's new MV for "House Party." Everything SM does is part of SM's Universe which all started with the creation of EXO and has only become more complex and epic over the years as SM introduces each new group and storyline to the timeline. And with every new MV or video it introduces another chapter to the story. Please see the rest of my comment attached in the reply.

I am so glad you also took the time to watch the EXO-M version of "Mama," because the whole point of both the EXO-K and EXO-M versions of their songs and each MV is to introduce you to EXO's concept and storyline. "Mama" is like the first episode of EXO's drama -- it sets up everything to come in the rest of the series. And if you miss any part of the first episode you will forever be lost when it comes to the rest of EXO's story. So it's important to watch both versions. And that goes for all of EXO's MVs. If you watch all versions of everything EXO does, you might be able to understand a little more about EXO's mission and everything they have been sent to Earth to do. You also should look up the lyrics for "Mama." As you noticed, the majority of their gregorian chant is in English: "Shoot anonymous, anonymous; Heartless, mindless; No one who care about me ... Careless, careless (Mama: Mama in Korean means Your Majesty); Shoot anonymous, anonymous (Mama); Heartless, mindless (Mama); No one who care about me (Mama)" Also, if you pay attention to what the whole song is talking about and what the lyrics mean it will give you even more insight into why EXO have been sent to Earth and what their mission is all about. In the beginning EXO's Mandarin MVs were subbed in Korean to help them appeal to a Korean audience. When you see English words those are lyrics that are sung in English and the rest of the song is in Mandarin. However, if you look up the English translation to both the Korean and Mandarin versions you will see that the lyrics are slightly different, because the story is being told from different perspectives. EXO's storyline begins with them being sent to Earth to try and heal the world and to stop and prevent the Red Force from taking over and corrupting everything. And the story in the lyrics of "Mama" foreshadows what they will have to overcome and understand about humans and our world to accomplish their tasks. EXO kind of takes humanity to task and asks us to explain why we would allow all this anger and hatred to cloud everything around us and why we don't love each other more? It's really a very beautiful message and the more you learn about EXO the more interesting the whole thing becomes. In the song the members, being aliens from another planet, are struggling to understand how we as humans could allow all this evil and bad things to happen all around us, such as war, hate and the destruction of the environment etc. and they are daunted by the fact that they are now tasked with figuring out how to fix it all and prevent more evil from taking place. That's why they need to find the two halves of the Tree of Life and reunite them to restore peace. In the EXO-M MV Xiumin and Kris are the members that do the screamo part. (Although it looks like Kris is the one that does that high note, the voice you are hearing is Chen.) Tao is the only one that can flip and jump like that, so he is the one that is always doing it in all of EXO's early MVs. (He does it in both the EXO-M and EXO-K MVs.) If you watch EXO's 23 pre-debut teaser videos, in a couple of them you will see Tao showcasing his martial arts skills and see that all his moves are 100% real. He can really flip and jump and spin like that and if in a battle he could kick butt. The numerous injuries he sustained from having to do those stunts in MVs and during live performances and on variety shows, etc. is one of the reasons why he left the group. The sword is real and he also often uses a staff. EXO's story is part supernatural and Sci-Fi and part based on reality, which touches on real life events and things that are really happening in the world. And from the very beginning, even during pre-debut days, and everything since then and everything yet to come, it all is connected to this storyline. Everything EXO does and everything you see from them, including Baekhyun and Kai's parts in SuperM, all has something to do with the concept and story that began with "Mama," and each new installment of something from the members expands a little further on EXO's story. Whether it's an MV from the group, a solo project from one of the members, a sub-unit project, a live performance, teaser videos, concert VCRs, or even a good amount of their choreography, it all has been designed to connect to EXO's storyline. It's kind of mind blowing the amount of planning and manipulation SM has been doing over the years to connect all the dots and to continue the story. It gets even crazier when you realize how even the most minute of details were crafted to be a hidden message or detail within that storyline. For example, In EXO's "Overdose" MV they have been lured into and trapped in a maze by the Red Force and they are trying to use their superpowers to figure out a way to escape, but somehow the maze affects their powers and it causes them to lose control and allows the Red Force to capture them. After "Overdose," the story picks up in their "Lucky One" MV where the Red Force has transferred the members from the maze to a hospital-like setting that is supposed to be a government lab facility where the Red Force is now doing experiments on EXO to figure out what makes them special and to find a way to disrupt their connection to the Tree of Life and to prevent them from gaining control, as well as maybe figure out what they need to do to clone them like we see has been done in their "Obsession" MV, etc. In "Lucky One" the members use their powers to overthrow the Red Force and to escape the facility. And that is where the story picks up in their "Ko Ko Bop" MV. in "Ko Ko Bop" EXO are free from the Red Forces' control for the moment and they all act like they are in a drugged state. The Ko Ko Bop drink that Suho mixes and the wafers or pills that the members all take, is supposed to help them detox from the drugs they were given against their will by the Red Force when they were being experimented on. Because they are still a little loopy from the drugs, in "Ko Ko Bop" you see them all playing with their powers without caution. Unfortunately, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order, so we, as EXO-L, have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of everything any of the members are involved in to try and piece it all together and figure out where each part fits within their larger storyline. To help you pinpoint the powers being used in their MVs and live performances, here is a list of the members and what their special power is. EXO-K 💦 Suho (Kim JunMyeon) is the leader of the group and he is a lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control water (Fun fact: Suho in Korean means guardian, as in the guardian of EXO. That's why as the leader of EXO, his stage name is Suho) 💡Baekhyun is a main vocalist and his superpower is the ability to control light 🔥Chanyeol is the main rapper and lead vocalist -- his power is the ability to control fire and his spirit animal is the phoenix. 🌏D.O. (Do KyungSoo) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control earth (dirt) which gives him strength/force ☄Kai (Kim JongIn) is a main dancer, lead vocalist and sub-rapper and his power is teleportation (Kai means opening as in a door or gateway, so his stage name is meant to symbolize his role in the group.) 🌪Sehun is the youngest member of the group and he is a lead rapper, lead dancer and a vocalist -- his power is the ability to control wind EXO-M ❄Xiumin (Kim MinSeok) is the oldest member of the group and he is a lead vocalist and lead rapper and his power is the ability to control snow/ice (frost) 🦄 Lay (Zhang Yixing) is the Chinese member of the group, he is a main dancer, lead vocalist and rapper -- his power is the ability to heal anything. 🌩 Chen (Kim JongDae) is a main vocalist and his power is the ability to control thunder/lightning/electricity (As you can see, Xiumin and Chen were given stage names that sounded more Chinese so they would fit in better in EXO-M because they are the Korean members of the Chinese group) The Chinese members who have since left the group: 🐉 Kris was the leader of EXO-M he was a main rapper and vocalist -- his power was the ability to fly and his spirit animal was a dragon (Kris left the group in April 2014.) 💭 Luhan was a main vocalist and his power was telekinesis (The ability to control things with his mind) (Luhan left the group in October 2014.) ⏰Tao (Z.Tao) was a lead rapper and vocalist and the martial artist of the group, so he did the flips and stunts in the group's routines. His power was the ability to control time (Tao ended activities with EXO in August 2015.)

"What is Love" features the 4 main vocalists of EXO, so, yes, in the EXO-K (Korean) version you only see and hear D.O. and Baekhyun's singing, and in the EXO-M (Mandarin) version Chen and Luhan are the singers. These are the main vocalists from their respective groups. However, in the MV you see most of the members. The rest of the members aren't singing the song, but they are helping to tell a story. Although "What is Love" is a love song, the MV really doesn't have a whole lot to do with love. The storyline in the MV is all about EXO's origin story and it is showing the members as they first arrived here on Earth. This was their very first pre-debut MV -- about 3 or 4 months before "Mama" -- so it is setting up EXO's storyline and it's showing the members. This was before most people really even knew who EXO were. EXO's second MV, was "History" and it was also a pre-debut song. "History" came out about 2 months after "What is Love." As you are starting to discover, if you are going to try and follow EXO's storyline and understand their concept as a group then you need to watch both the EXO-K and EXO-M MVs of all their songs, at least until "Overdose," (and in my opinion, I think you should actually see both versions of ALL of their MVs) because EXO-M MVs and performances are just as important as the EXO-K versions. If you look up the English translation of the Korean and Chinese versions of EXO's songs, you will see that they aren't exactly the same because the story is being told from a different perspective. I think the songs are intentionally structured to sound a little different because the style of song and what appeals to a Korean audience is different than the music style that a Chinese audience is drawn to. So Chen's and Luhan's voices in the EXO-M MV is meant to have the style and sound of Chinese songs, where Baekhyun's and D.O.'s more sultry R&B vocals are what Korean audiences are drawn to. Fun fact: Even though Chen is a member of EXO-M, he is actually one of the two native Korean members of this sub-unit. Chen's real name is Kim JongDae. He was given the stage name Chen because it helped him to fit in better in EXO-M. Luhan is native Chinese so he is singing in his native language. (The other EXO-M members are Xiumin -- Who is the other Korean member -- Kris, Lay and Tao. Lay is the only native Chinese member who is still part of EXO.) If you like their voices in the MV, just wait until you hear "What is Love" performed live in concert. You will be even more blown away. As SM artists, it shouldn't be a surprise that EXO are amazing vocalists. That is just what SM is known for. You literally can't debut under SM Entertainment without having amazing vocals and dance skills. All of SM's artists are amazing singers, even their rappers. SM is known as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. And the company has gained the reputation for putting a huge emphasis on finding and cultivating some of the best vocalists and dancers in the industry. Now to explain the story in the "What is Love" MV: As you noticed, you see an eclipse is happening. As you know, EXO's whole concept and storyline is that they are aliens who came to Earth to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. And as otherworldly beings, the members each have a superpower that is specific to them. The eclipse is what controls EXO's powers and it's where they get their power and strength from. So, that is why you see in most of their MVs that they focus on the moon or show an eclipse taking place, etc. EXO are aliens so staring at an eclipse or the sun doesn't affect them in the same way. After all, they come from Planet Exo, which has two suns. LOL In the scenes were you see D.O and Baekhyun/Chen and Luhan singing, that is thought to be showing clues to EXO's storyline, such as the light that is streaming through the holes in the walls is thought to be representing Baekhyun's superpower which is the ability to control light, and the fact that the room they are in is kind of disheveled could be after D.O. used his power of force. You also see scenes such as Chanyeol (a member of EXO-K) looking at a drawing of a unicorn and comparing it to a hieroglyph of a unicorn on a piece of rock which is thought to be something to do with the fact that he is searching for Lay (an EXO-M member). Lay's symbol is a unicorn which represents his power of healing. In the MV for "What Is Love," you see clips from some of their pre-debut teaser videos. All the clips in the MV are special clips that were originally released one at a time on their own to introduce EXO to the world, before the group's official debut. Before EXO debuted, SM released 23 teaser videos over a 3 month period and the videos showcased the members and their talents, such as Kai's special dances and Tao's martial arts skills, as well as told a story about EXO who are on a quest to find each other and to find clues to locate the Tree of Life, etc. Kai was the member that was featured in the most teasers -- somewhere around 10 videos. The "What is Love" MV takes clips from those teaser videos and puts them together to make the MV. Months and years later, we have also discovered that the teasers also were teasers to EXO's discography of songs. At the time, when the teasers were released, we had no idea the significance of the songs that you hear in the teasers. But now, over the years, we have discovered that the majority of the songs that were featured in EXO's pre-debut teasers were also meant to be teasers to songs that would be released as some of the main tracks of EXO's albums. All the teasers are still on SM's KZread channel if you want to check them out. If you watch the teasers, you will see how planned out everything EXO is involved in actually is. Most of the songs that they released even years after debut were songs that were teased to in their pre-debut teaser videos even before fans knew who EXO was. That just goes to show you why we say that everything EXO does comes back to their storyline. :D Absolutely everything has been planned out down to the most minute detail for years in advance and for years to come. However, not all of the songs you hear in the teasers were songs that made it to the albums, or maybe they are songs that haven't been released yet. There are several songs in the teasers that we still don't know. Maybe they are songs that have not been released yet, or maybe they may never exist as a full song. It's another part of EXO's mystery that we are waiting to discover. So as you see, you have to watch both "What is Love" MVs to see the different clips and try and figure out the story it is trying to tell. EXO's MVs may look similar, but in each version there are hidden messages and Easter eggs that SM puts in each MV that tell a little more of the story, even still today. Plus, in the Korean version they highlight the EXO-K members where in the Mandarin version they highlight the EXO-M members. It's a common misconception that just because EXO's 2 MVs look similar on the surface that you don't need to watch both versions, but if you skip the Mandarin version of EXO's MVs -- especially these early MVs when they were still a full group -- I guarantee you are going to miss a key part of their story. Plus, you miss out on hearing the EXO-M members and what the song sounds like in Mandarin. :D I wish more people would understand that SM didn't only make a Mandarin version of EXO's songs to appeal to their Chinese audience. EXO-M was very much a part of EXO's storyline and the EXO-M or Mandarin MVs are just as an important part of EXO's storyline as the Korean version. They actually shot two separate MVs for each version, so the parts that look the same were deliberately made to look the same and there are almost always subtle differences in both versions because it is telling the story from a different angle or from the other group's perspective. As the intro to "Mama" points out EXO are made up of two groups who stand on the same ground and see similar things and they stand on separate grounds and see the same thing. So even the most minute detail has a purpose within EXO's storyline, nothing is done by chance or random. And that still continues today, even though they don't promote as EXO-K and EXO-M any more, you will still see subtle nods to the EXO-M members and the role that their group plays in EXO's larger storyline. You often see moments in EXO's choreography where the EXO-M members who are still left are singled out or put together, etc. Because EXO-M's part of the story is still important to the storyline even when they are a group of 9. It makes me so happy that you are watching both the EXO-K and EXO-M versions of their MVs, because not enough reactors give EXO-M credit. :D

EXO's "History" MV is supposed to be an introduction for EXO and it was meant to begin to establish their storyline and concept as a group. So to understand their "History" MV, here is what you need to know: As aliens from Planet Exo, the members are about to be sent to Earth on a mission. "History" is thought to be about how EXO are still on Planet Exo and they are preparing to be sent to Earth. So that is why it has a very futuristic look and feel to it. There isn't a whole lot of story because it is a pre-debut MV so this was meant to just introduce the members and establish their concept. "History" is EXO's second pre-debut track. It was released in 2012 -- about 2 months after their first pre-debut song and MV "What is Love," and about 2 months before "Mama," which is EXO's official debut -- so this is more than 10 years ago. "History" is the introduction of the storyline and it explains what led up to the events in "Mama." In the EXO-K version of "History" you only saw the EXO-K (Korean) members -- Kai, D.O, Suho, Sehun, Baekhyun and Chanyeol -- singing, and in the middle of the song you see them flash to the EXO-M (Chinese) members -- Lay, Kris, Chen, Luhan, Xiumin and Tao -- however, now that you have seen the EXO-M version you see that the EXO-M members are the main characters in the story and they only show the EXO-K members briefly. This establishes how the two groups are separate and yet still are all part of one group as EXO. Both versions of their MVs may look the same on the surface, but the story is slightly different because it is being told from a different angle or different perspective in each version. Fun fact: if you compare the English translation of the Korean and Mandarin lyrics, you will see that the songs are slightly different. The song is called "History" and in the lyrics they talk about making history. It's about failing at something and trying again to make it right. So, the theory is that in this part of the story EXO made some sort of unknown "big mistake" on their planet, so they have been sent to Earth to try and right their wrongs by trying to prevent the Red Force from causing a "big mistake" or prevent humanity from allowing a "big mistake" to happen on Earth. They are trying to prevent "History" from repeating itself. And they want to make "History" here on Earth. It establishes the whole reason why EXO are fighting against the Red Force and why they need to find the Tree of Life and restore peace. They can't let whatever happened on their planet happen again on Earth, etc. The part of the dance where they put their hands in their pockets and shake their pants, I interpret as the nervousness and uncertainty that they are feeling as they are about to embark on this new journey as they prepare to go to Earth and also as a representation of the nerves and excitement they are feeling as they are about to debut. As you can see, even the choreography is designed to tell the story. However, just so you know, we didn't fully understand that was what the MV and song was trying to tell us, until several years later, after we had more context to go on after we had several other MV stories and more information. But that is why we say, if you want to try and follow EXO's story you have to pay attention to everything and you have to remember as much detail as you can about everything you have ever seen and heard from EXO. Because although you might think you understand one piece of EXO's story, with every new release from EXO, we get a little more information, and, sometimes it helps to confirm what we thought to be true and sometimes it turns the whole theory on its head and makes us realize what was happening wasn't what we thought after all. What complicates this even more is the fact that almost nothing in their storyline is in chronological order, so we EXO-Ls have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of everything any of the members are involved in to try and piece it all together and figure out where each part fits within their larger storyline. And I literally mean everything, from their teaser videos, to their MVs, to their song lyrics and live performances, concert VCRs (videos played in between sets at their concerts) and even some of their choreography, as well as their sub-unit and solo work. Everything EXO does is connected. And now that story has branched out even further to include all of SM Entertainment's groups and artists storylines. Everything that SM Entertainment produces is all part of one giant story, like a giant graphic novel or mystery movie series, and it's all connected to the SM universe storyline, that all started with EXO in 2012. Each new MV or project is another chapter in the story, and it's up to us fans to figure out where it all fits in the larger storyline. To see their dancing better, if you haven't already, check out the dance practice for "History," the choreography is very unique. They have an EXO-K dance practice and an EXO-M dance practice. And it's one of their few choreographies where the two groups are not combined because they were completely separate groups in this MV.
