    Keychain management is it's own genre. My wife and I call it 'key feng shui'. Always digging your (personal) EDC shares. Carry on!

    Love the E ink choices. When we are constantly looking at screens, it reduces eye strain which will also ruin your eyes as you get older. Believe me, I know.

    Love people that SAY they are into edc yet their knives NEVER have a fkn blemish on the blades anywhere. Also you can tell people who actually have edc tools and people that are "into edc" because this guy has alot of stuff

    Great video. If I think too much about EDC, it probably indicates some sort of mental difference or something, or maybe it's just the beauty in preparedness and simplicity. Regardless, question, do you ever carry physical paper books with you? Something that does not require charging of any kind? I find something comforting in them, despite being totally inefficient as you accumulate them. All the best, terrific channel!

    Thanks Brad! I do read paperback books sometimes since used books are sometimes cheaper than digital copies and whatnot, and it's a nice experience to go from paper to e-ink and different form factors, just gives my eyes and brain a rest from looking at the same thing for too long.

    NEVER SET YOUR WATCH'S HANDS COUNTER CLOCKWISE!!!, you have a a great piece in your wrist, but doing that causes wear and can break it if you keep doing it, so please, always move your watch's hands forwards if you want it to last for a long time 🙏

  • @Nekesu

    @Nekesu

    Usually do it forwards unconsciously but didn’t know it was a problem to go backwards, thanks for the tip.

  • @everydaycarry

    I think modern-made watch movements are robust enough to go backwards, but to be safe you should set the time clockwise. Vintage watches and watches with lots of complications (date wheel etc) are at greater risk when setting the time backwards, especially during the hours when a date wheel would change, like after 9pm

    Are we sure that isn’t apocryphal? Do we have any verifiable evidence of watches breaking by setting the time counter clockwise? If this were truly the case, wouldn’t manufacturers caution against doing this in their manuals similar to how they caution against setting the date during certain hours?

    Other than the e-ink tablets, i can fit all of this in standard pants pockets. Left front pocket is 3 phones stacked together lol, right front pocket is wallet and AirPods, then clipped to front right is flashlight, knife clipped to back right pocket, and keychain + earplugs on carabiner from my belt loop

    How do you switch between 2 iPhones? Like, do you have 2 phone numbers? Can both receive calls to the same number…? How does that work? If 2 phone numbers, people just know to try reaching you with both numbers?

  • @everydaycarry

    @everydaycarry

    2 ай бұрын

    I don’t really switch between them. The smaller older iPhone has a very cheap basic prepaid plan on its own physical SIM card for emergency use but only my closest contacts have that number to reach me, otherwise it’s used on wifi. My main work phone has the robust cell plan and my main number. It’s hard to switch between them and keep same number bc of ESIM in the new phones. iCloud makes it somewhat easier to manage though

    I had some Loop earplugs. Carried them in pouches for a while and the first time I kept them externally the cheap case broke and they were gone. They’re a neat idea but poorly executed from a quality standpoint.

  • @everydaycarry

    fair, the external plastic and rubber cases are lightweight and pretty but not durable enough for EDC i think. If i find a good keychain stash capsule that fits loops I’ll make another video. I like the plugs themselves tho. Have 3 pairs i bought full price etc

    Yeah and using a $200 knife for boxes. Rule 1 for knifes is no cardboard. That is a job for the utility box cutter with cheap replaceable blades…. Besides that, nice guy and vid!

    3 eink devices make no sense. An alternative to the palma + iphone se is hisense eink android phone. One eink tab is fine the other one would be best replaced by an ipad mini combined with the smaller iphone pro model. I think thst would be a better ROI.
