First story, she's too nice. Kept saying baby needs to be raised in a better home and it was God's gift to the cousin, I'd be like, if god wanted her to have kids, he would actually let her...

S1: The cousin is so nuts, how does she still have a husband??? S2: The siblings might be able to be saved, but the mom is an enabler. I bet the stepdad will just attack another minor and she'll still stand up for him 🤦🏽‍♂️ S3: Sadly those with autism don't often get the support that they need. My incubator often yelled at me for simply having autism and being "different". The trauma from that just made these worse. Anyway, good on OP for choosing to pour into the people that poured into her.

For the first one, Religion! There are a lot of Christian couples that are absolutely miserable, but stay together because Divorce is seen as a terrible sin. There's likely other factors, such as the Husband being to scared of losing everything in the Divorce. The system heavily favors Women, and their word is worth a lot more even with an evident truth. I mean, I read a story where a woman abandoned her son for 15yrs to flee with a new boyfriend to another country. The Judge gave her custody because "She's the kids mom". She didn't even know who the kid's father was!

People have always treated children like property. Even now with the birthrate decline, some public voices haven't even tried to hide the fact that they want to encourage people to have kids for the future workforce, as though people are just soulless automatons for profit. It's one of the reasons child abuse isn't taken seriously enough. Slap the hell put of an adult and it's assault, slap the hell out of a child and you're excused with bs like, "spare the rod, spoil the child." People have always treated kids like property, punching bags, ready made workers and worse.

@@amazingdoorbob5458 Im prettybad at going to church myself. However. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching. The church is like a hospital. Its full of sick people. Jesus used to get accused of being wrong because he hung out with drunkards, prostitutes and tax collectors. However the doctor had to go where the sick were. Im pretty sick myself.

Story 3: (After the updates) This is not the first time that I've read a story like this, and one of the sh***y parents turns out to be a counselor and/or therapist. I get the feeling that the profession attracts people who want to play savior, and as a result, ends up releasing that negativity onto their family, and/or they ignore or even enable the abuse going on at home to keep up an image. Glad OP cut those people off and finally told off her mother!

I’ve heard this story before but not the update I hope op makes sure her aunt and cousin never see the baby and also just cause she’s more “godly” and if it were me I’d ask what kind of stable and respectful demands a mother gives up her baby and also it sounds like her partner is jewish and her aunt is horrible about that and as for that pastor pressuring her to make reconcile is probably hoping to gang upon her to make her give up her baby don’t know what church this is but it deserves a dose of reality And her cousin well I honestly think a baby isn’t going to help anything she sounds unstable and I think her stable marriage as aunt said is probably not that stable as aunt and cousin refer to having a baby will fix everything I’ve never heard of babies really fixing relationships

Story 3: This is almost exactly my experience. Autistic, misdiagnosed/undiagnosed in childhood, finally diagnosed in my 30s. My family did the same crap hers did, and more....stop beling weird, are you stupid, you're overreacting. When I informed them of my diagnosis, they felt that since I act so "normal", they did me a favor. Like OP pondered, I gave up. LC with them. You actually CAN pick your family.
