Good Morning Claire! 110 perfumes it seems a lot, but compared to others it’s a small collection. I get overwhelmed seeing when I see tons and tons of bottles and really think do they wear them! I rather keep it small and also you could use them all.

There are ones here that I have an emotional attachment to, but rarely wear. And I'd like to be stronger to declutter those. I want to wear everything... I have finished two bottles since filming this though (it's been a month or more) so at least I do cycle through some of them. 🥰

Hi Claire, It was great to see the evolution of your collection. I have two of the rose dominant fragrances that you have alternatives for. They are POAL and Scherzo. They are powerful and not everyday wears for me. They are more special occasion fragrances for me. I also have TF Lost Cherry instead of your dossier version. I have the Si Intense. I blind bought it based on all the hype last year. It's sweeter than I would typically go for in a perfume. I have the Intense Mon Guerlain not the OG. I did like Chloe Nomad when I tested it, but I don't own it. I still have yet to test Glossier You. I have learned I have to test white musk fragrances so no blind buying this perfume even with all the hype it got last year. I think we both enjoy some incense and rose notes in perfumery. I have to be sure the incense isn't just a smoke note to enjoy it in a fragrance. Thanks for your video! 😊💛

Yes POAL is a beast! I have a sample of scherzo and it's a bit much for me 🤣 the Dossier lost cherry is good but it's definitely not the same when you get up close to it. The cherry is slightly different to me. Nomade has been a love this year. I never thought I'd reach for something like that so often but I guess it suits work well. Glossier you is one that isn't icy white, it's more ambrette to me, but there's iris too, so yes one to test! Have a fab day! 🥰

I don't know what it is that makes looking at other peoples' fragrance collections so fascinating. Do we try to see how many fragrances we own in common? Or judge the collection (and the person) by its contents and cost? I think I veer more towards looking at a collection as showing the personality of the owner; maybe they have an emphasis on certain scent profiles or certain types of makers (designer, niche, celebrity, etc.) Or even just how they speak about a particular fragrance can be a "tell." I usually don't share a lot of perfumes in common with other collections I've seen. The only ones I share in common with your collection so far are Agent Provacateur Fatale Intense -- and that's only because I found your description of the scent interesting. (And yes, I think I really fell for the bottle.) And J'Adore by Dior. Of course I do have some other Diors and Guerlains, but just not the ones you have:)

I agree Kat, I like spotting what I share with someone and what I don't, but I also just like hearing people talk about their fragrances. I love if there are stories or memories with particular scents. I find that so beautiful to listen to. Me neither with people's collections in KZread. I think many people are very focused on what is new and there seems to be a lot of "I've got to buy this because this is popular right now" or "I have to review this because it's new". I realise that talking about discontinued and hard to find fragrances can be annoying for some viewers though, but my collection is for me 🤣 you can't help what you love and what you don't. Hi Dr. Smith! Tfs🙋 Very nice collection. I'm always on the hunt for JOOP LB. I think I might be the only woman in America, who hasn't sniffed JPG Scandal, OG and flanker. I love the honey note and just continue to repurchase what I have. Namely; KK PURE HONEY. It's quite inexpensive, but sadly, it's wonderful on clothing, but dismissal longevity on the skin🤷. I dare not sample Bee by Zoology. I will want it for sure, though out of my reach financially. Francine

Thank you ❤️ Le Bain is a very different kind of fragrance and very inexpensive here, sometimes £5/£10, it's worth trying but it definitely has a vintage feel. Haha yes! Scandal has been popular, but I think if you want honey rather than beeswax, try one of the flankers. I agree, honey is addictive andngorgeous! I am very tempted by theodoros kalotinis tobacco maniac because of the honey. It really makes me think of sticky sweet tobacco plants as they are drying. I love that smell! Thanks for watching 🥰

I absolutely love watching collection videos, I put them on when I'm cleaning and usually don't do much cleaning 🤣 I would love to see your collection, I had a subscriber send me photos of theirs and I was in awe! 😱 I actually wondered whether to do a video where I just ask people to send photos / films of their collections and I just talk about what they have and what I imagine they might enjoy from seeing that. I'm not sure... 🤔

We actually use our 4711, both me and my hubby. It feels so grounding and calming. I love several colognes of that house😍

It's funny you say you've not met anyone that dislikes Dolce Garden. . 🖐 hello over here not liking Dolce Garden 😅. I really didn't like it, it has a quality that I've found in many designer fragrance. Could be a musk or a synthetic floral note, but sure. Very impressed with your Dior collection. . Slippery slope. It'll soon be 10 bottles trust me 🤣

Yes it's satisfied my lust for the original mostly. I do sometimes go spray it in store. For me, the cherry is a little deeper and blacker, almost more close to the stone with the original, it's so close though! ☺️

I purchased Cerruti 1881 blind after watching one of your videos and i absolutely love it. It's the only perfume i want to wear since it arrived a week ago and my partner loves it too. I get the wedding vibes on elie saab le parfum too, i havent smelled it yet but just looking on its bottle design and the white floral notes it really fits for a wedding 💐 Dolce garden was a love at first sniff for me idk why i suddenly become sensitive for coconut, dolce garden and pepe jeans for her this two i think i need to try them on more colder weather. Love your collection its a good combination of a niche, designers and affordable I enjoyed watching 🙂❤️

I tried a few of the Pepe Jeans for Her line, Celebrate for Her is a lovely one, very interesting notes but so strong 😂 the original is lovely too, very tropical, sweet and fun! I'm finding that I beginning to re organise ' notes' .. such a helpfull way to understand perfume & also help me discern what I might like to add or de clutter to my collection ....you are also helping me to be wiser and less ' influenced' I've started looking at various ways to get samples or decants..the 1ml viles are not rye best for me to have a good idea of how I might get to know a scent properly .. Yes it takes a while with notes, just comparing with what's listed can be helpful and then trying to see whether you smell the same kind of element with other fragrances with those notes can help. I definitely don't recognise everything and sometimes I know I have smelt something before but actually really can't place what it is 🤣 There's a lot of overhyping out there on KZread and it's really easy to be sucked in, I know I was, decants and samples are really the way to a collection that you love. I wish I'd been wiser earlier on with my collection but I've learnt now 😉 thanks for watching ❤️

Hi Claire! Really enjoyed part 1 and I'm sure I'll love part 2 (and 3).😍 I had a difficult time with Fatal Intense from AP. I do get a plastic note in it. Rarely wear it and only in colder weather. Almost decluttered it. When I want a sweet licorice note, I go for others like Black Opium Intense or Lolitta Land. Loverdose Tattoo, I enjoy, but I might prefer L'Amour by Kenzo when I want to wear a rice, sweet and powdery fragrance. Both are easy reach ones who don't project too much. I LOVE my discontinued LPRN Intense from Guerlain. And Insolence as well. Got Terracotta about a month ago and it's very nice. Really wanted to get it before the end of Summer. It's dethroning my Sunkissed Hibiscus travel size (I'll take that one for travelling now to use it up).🥥 Have a nice weekend!😀

Hello! Me too with fatale intense! I didn't know what to think of it to begin with, then I wore it a bit more and got into it. 🙃 Ooh I've been wondering whether to get Kenzo amour. It's getting super hard to find... Ironically Terracotta I tried to buy yesterday but I was having problems with the Sephora app, it was glitchy and there was 20% off for 2 hours 🤣, so I've given up until next time... It's gorgeous! @@dr.claire.perfume I snatched Terracotta up because some were saying it was more difficult to find (payed full price, but less pricy than all the other Guerlain's I've seen. Some say l'Amour is discontinued. Bought mine on a discounter online storeover a year ago for the equivalent of 60-70$ US, I think. Some say it smells like Hypnotic Poison (never compared the two). It reminds me a bit of the Trussardi Aperitivo Milanese Porta Nuova, but without the boozy factor.

Yes!! Terracotta was £45 last year, now it's more like £60. And yes! I've also seen amour compared with hypnotic poison and I just can't imagine that they are similar at all 🤷‍♀️ I would love to know! 😊

Yes 4711 bottles are very distinctive! I do wish I had a spray of that though! Mercedes Benz I didn't wear much to begin with, it definitely has a synthetic feel to it, but it also makes me think of baking cookies! How do you feel about it? 🥰

here in the US there are* 3oz spray bottles of 4711 for sale online.. is it not the same in the UK? ive not seen a medallion shaped bottle like urs before (: i agree it has a synthetic facet. that dusty smell.. i got it bc i read it was a good alternative to guerlains spiritueuse double vanille 🥲 i need to wear it in winter i think bc ive only had it since may/june and i live in the desert

I just keep those because they were my grandmother's and they make me think of her, they are super old but still smell great ☺️ I didn't try SDV, I would love to sniff it! Did you try it? Do they smell similar? I do think it smells better in the cooler or at least not hot weather for me. I don't love it, but I certainly don't dislike it. It makes me think a little of the Alexandre J fragrance line, the bases are similar for me for that and zafeer oud vanille.

(expensive too)but i see the comparisons bc of the resins and vanilla. the opening is different too but i dont have the right words to describe how.

I know what you mean, It's got a bit of a laundry musk going on in it too, but for once that one is a shampoo style fragrance that I actually enjoy. It's definitely a mood though, I don't always want to reach for that one 😊

I just discovered Armani Diamonds and I am so surprised I never hear anyone talk about this, its so light and airy! Have you ever smelled it? Oh and maybe for The next video can you show how much you used of every bottle? Thank you for making these video’s 🥰🙏

Yes! Actually that was one of my work colleagues' signature scent before she switched to Jimmy Choo I want choo. I agree, it's an easy to wear one. I'm afraid I've already filmed and edited the second part so I can't fulfill your request, but I will try in next year's collection video. Last year's videos do show the dents though as I filmed it in a different way. 🥰

I’m trying to find dupes of coco mademoiselle because I’ve purchased all of the versions of it in twist and spray and I’ve found that they don’t last very long on my skin. So I’m hoping that dupes will

I haven't tried any dupes of Coco mademoiselle unfortunately. The only one I know about is Armaf club de nuit but I've no idea whether it is close or not. Luckily Coco mademoiselle is super long lasting on me. Maybe try an oil clone? Good luck 🤞

I have been reading a Virginia Wolf biography recently and I've been wondering as I was watching your video which fragrance of your she would like. I think she would like your Floris fragrance or a Guerlain one. What do you think?

That's a fab thing to wonder! 🤔 I would love to scent her! You probably know far more than I do about her though so you are probably best to judge... Wow, yes I think a Floris, perhaps not a rose for, I'm not sure, would it suit her? I do think a Guerlain too, insolence might be a little too sweet for her, I would maybe put her in something more classic, like après l'ondée. I am not sure the others fit, which did you think for the Guerlain?

This comment reminds me of a post someone put on an Aussie fragrance page on Facebook. They were wondering what fragrance Penny Mordaunt wore at the coronation of King Charles. She looked magnificent walking down the aisle holding the sword so it would be interesting to know if she wore something to match how she looked. I tried googling it (I obviously had time on my hands that day) but couldn’t find any info on it. Any ideas Claire? 🤔🇦🇺

Politically Penny Mordaunt is really not my cup of tea 🙊 so I'm not sure I can independently answer this 🤣 her views on numerous things, including being anti trans rights, her pro Brexit stance, being found to have lied in the Brexit campaign and still being an MP, having voted against higher taxes for people earning £150K+ per year and voting for military action, do not align with my beliefs. I'd probably put her in Vera Wang Princess 🤣 haha no, seriously... I actually have no idea, I didn't even watch the coronation 🙊 but yes I know she wore a dress that wasn't what someone in that role is expected to wear (it should have been black and gold I think...) and had the teal outfit specially commissioned, so I expect she wore some classic but chic and modern fragrance too. I would imagine Chanel Paris Paris or some other modern chypre, but I'm probably way off! 😂 I am wondering now though... I would bet £1million that it wasn't Vera Wang Princess 🤣

Set aside my morning routine to enjoy this one. Lovely collection.

I’m so disappointed with my new bottle of Si 😩 it’s missing the very essence of who she was ,until you mentioned it to me I really thought it was my nose ! Not quite ready to let her go yet but I find it’s to heavy for summer ,I need to use it more in the cooler weather ,I used to love it in spring and fall

It's not something that you can know for sure unless you sniff side by side. You effectively get one comparison when you switch bottles, so it's easy to think you are imagining it. Did you try the intense version? It's not the same exactly but it's maybe closer in spirit to the original than the reformulation. Definitely more vanilla there though!

I just looked it up, I hadn't heard of it. I do love Balenciaga though! The notes look so interesting, I see it's compared to Mauboussin, would you agree, I don't know if you tried that...? I am curious because I keep reading about and looking at that entire Mauboussin range...

⁠​⁠@@dr.claire.perfumeI’d say they have a similar dense type of sweetness, and they share that non-descript, vintage feel that can be generally detected in older scents. I’ve took a liking to what I’ve smelt so far from Mauboussin - I think a video on the brand would be an idea!
