My husband and I got married in October of 2021 and we had the best day and it was absolutely beautiful. So I may be biased but a fall wedding would be perfect. Congrats to you both!!

We’ve always known we’d be together so there was never really a rush to marry and there were so many things we wanted to do first. Plus we couldn’t financially pay for a wedding when we were younger.

I was still surprised :) Lots of couples choose a ring together then they may know its coming soon but not where, when or how. Matt and I travel a lot so its not like this was a random trip out of the blue. It was perfect and a nice surprise how it happened xx

We did the same too, and believe me was even better as you have what you wanted on your finger! And waiting for it to happen is so cool, the ring is there you are there but just waiting for the right moment is so exciting and eventually when happened was a big surprise too....

Loved this, you guys remind me of my husband and I with your playful banter. 🥰We're renewing our vows next month in Hawaii, just the two of us. I'm all about destination weddings. We had a small destination wedding in South Lake Tahoe, CA and it was beautiful, but looking back I wish we had just eloped and spent more money on a nice honeymoon since we were broke college students at the time haha.

I picked out my ring without really knowing. We were picking out a gift for my mom, I was looking at the engagement rings while we were waiting, saw one that I liked, made a comment about it, we got my mom’s gift, my husband “went” to the bathroom, and purchased my ring. I had no idea that he did that until after we got engaged and every single person in our life knew about it.

Our proposal is not an ad we've been together for many years this was our plan all along we just happened to connect with Couple when we were ring shopping and we worked with them on custom making our ring.

It had been on our minds for a few years now but with writing a cookbook, moving, the big C and having a baby it just didnt feel like we had the space to plan it and there was never a rush. Beginning of last year it was something we talked about more and knew we wanted to get engaged within the year.

How long did you have to wait from receiving the custom made ring until you got engaged... Or you weren't in on it so you don't keep thinking when will this happen...? Did you have any clues or inclinations on this trip or other vacations that Matt would propose?

I was only part of the process of choosing a ring. I think Matt got the ring in September but I never saw it so I have no idea. I knew he would be proposing at some point but it was 6 months later so I really didnt know how or when.
