This was one of the first videos I watched when I first got into animators. I’ve watched Rebecca for almost 6 years now and you have been my inspiration for all of them. Ringling has become one of my top schools for animation. Today I got my acceptance letter. Thank you Rebecca. You’ve inspired me to continue working on improving my art. Thank you ❤

I also went to Ringling, but didn't make it. I put this video off because I hit rock bottom at Ringling and I knew this video would be triggering, using the prior knowledge that you'd been to Ringling, too. I'm doing a lot better now, so I decided to face this demon with you. I just want to say I really appreciated this video. Seeing your old Ringling art was actually reassuring to my 2016-2017 self that's still kinda trapped inside and going to therapy for it. It actually didn't look very far off to what my old Ringling art looks like and after all this time, feeling like a serious failure, I just want to say thank you for putting this video together.

thank you so much for this video becca, i'm on my first year of animation at ied and i felt really intimidated by all my classmates, knowing that someone i admire so much went through something similar gave me courage. Thank you so much for making me realize that, while watching this I was drawing and my uncle wanted me to draw a detailed face of a girl and watching Becca flip throughout her old drawings has gave me the courage of drawing, so thank you very very much, this is one of the many reasons you should subscribe.

This takes me back! i saw this video when I was 14, and now look at me! 20 and a half, graduated diploma in animation and immediately pushed into my BA(HONS) animation arts degree programme straight into the year 2 zone... Rebecca, this video inspired me to do wonders, thank you.

All of the drawings are surprisingly good actually I personally had to quite drawing cause of arthritis in my hand but I did instead become a chef and from what I've seen animation on your channel is also really smooth

@wolfie night shadow nightmare That's not what I intended to say with my comment. The fact that her initial reaction to her old drawing was a reference to Lord of the Rings made me believe she may be a genuine nerd/geek.

After a weekend agonizing over pose work (normally my forte but not today) this popped into my recommendations 😂 this cheered me up, thanks Becca!

This made me happy cause now I really wanna show my current art style vs my first art style when I got into art which I'm pretty proud of my art style 😅

I want so bad to be a cartoonist/animator and this has really inspired me to keep going, I know you’ll probably never see this, but thank you this has helped me an extraordinary amount

Wow! Look at the light values on the figures. I’ve always been amazed at how people do those so accurately. That and whatever odd decisions you made, at least you did those decisions with a follow-through to them. As in, you made the decisions full out, even if they look odd in hindsight. The nightmare fuel wasn’t at all nightmarish, it looks deliberate and purposeful based on what your goal was. Always kinda thought that’s what makes art good; it’s done without being only halfway done. It’s full out and followed through. The idea is expressed to the most complete it can be at the time. That’s what I learned from looking at your art showcase: the power of a good faith effort.

Thx for this video It will help me out alot with my art class at school. I have my gscs soon in Jun and May time and it is a 10 hour exam but my are going to be longer 12 and a half hour as I have Exeter time and I felt as if I am the worst in my class but because of you I am not going to give up and carry on it my favourite class as I love art and have always had so thx for helping me out with this and showing me that it will be OK as my teacher ripped out a month or two worth of work out of my book. So this might be only a little video but it will help me out alot so again thx for showing that I can do this.😁 I love your video so much so once again thx for everything you have done 💗

I have a better idea: how about instead of claiming that your dreams are dead and you have no chance when you're still a child, you all go look up some tutorials and practice? Whining in the comments won't do anything productive, but if you practice drawing, you will get better at it. ^ ^
