this is something frequent i see. even in the healthiest marriages women will take credit for how their husbands are if it is said to be an achievement but the men will attribute the credit to the women and not themselves due to their humility. the sad thing is when flipped and the woman achieves something she soaks that all in and the man will credit the woman. men who have humility can keep a marriage strong but women do not need to have that trait. even if it is supposed to be a joke, there tends to be a hidden element of truth in which she actually does think that about herself and her daughter. i am sure the husbands would agree but if flipped it wouldn't quite work out the same.

Kannada and Tamil are indeed languages of the same family, Dravidian, and are even narrower relatives from the Kannada-Tamil or Southern Dravidian languages sub-family. As a Tamil speaker, I found Kannada - even if clearly a different and largely unintelligible language - kind closer to the colloquial Tamil of Tamil Nadu than the Sri Lankan Tamil dialects for example. Yes, Kannada and Karnataka are very close to Maharashtra, especially the northern half of the state. That shows how big bullshit is the Aryan/Dravidian divide (both exists as linguistic families and maybe very ancient and now disappeared proto-populations) promoted by Telugu migrant turned politician and elite family, which rule Tamil Nadu. Alas in Tamil Nadu, you just have to make movies, brandy, and biryani rations for submitting people.
