MY DATA ANALYSIS RESEARCH PROJECT | BIOLOGY MASTER'S STUDENT
I recently finished my Cancer MSc at UCL and wanted to give you a big summary of my data analysis research project, in the field of cancer and epigenetics! There is quite a lot of technical biology in this video, but I still hope that you can follow some of it even if you haven’t studied the subject before to a high level. I’ll lose you at some points but I hope you understand the general concepts! The timestamps below should also help you out 🧬

Now that you have mentioned it, I remember learning how to do a gene ontology enrichment analysis a few months ago in an 1 week training. But now after not practically using my knowledge, I just forgot about it. It's auch a pity, since it is super helpful and I am sure there are actually many other helpful "tools" that I just cannot remember right now bc I don't need to use them regularly. Thanks for the reminder😄☺
People:you don't use most of what you study at school!! Holly:
This is fascinating Holly! Do you need any background in computer science to do a data analysis project in biology? Did u find it difficult to get started with the online platforms, if u didn’t know how to code?

She had to learn how to code
I like your video , very helpful for us
Can you make a video explaining the reproductive system more specifically about the hormones I am studying at school and because of covid there are some informations that are missed like what are the types of hormonal glands and stuff so it's a bit hard to understand😅
how to make carbohydrate not turning into glucose in plant?
I already have a MSc in computer engineering. I have an interest in biology and biomedical science. However, I am very very very clumsy in lab work, I also don't have a good short term memory anymore (insomnia, autism, bipolar disorder are the culprits). So I am really not a good fit for lab work. That is what holds me back from studying something related to biomedical science. Can still do something biomedicine related, e.g. studying and doing research cancer or schizophrenia etc.? Maybe bioinformatics is a good option. Or biomedical engineering/biophysics.
Could cancer from vaping be different then cancer from smoking ?
*5 things to quit right now:* *1. Overthinking* *2. Trying to make everyone happy* *3. Living in the past* *4. Worrying* *5. Doubting yourself*
Do you have plans to pursue your PhD in this area of biology and research? Very fascinating 😁🧬🔬
Ok I guess I would need to study biology :D I don't really understand anything xD

One of the reasons they can't cure cancer. Could be because they don't found it early. Why can't they cure going bald ?

The patients dont actually go bald tho they loose a lot of hair shaving the heads just makes it faster and easier

if you're talking about losing hair whilst patients go through cancer treatment, then that it a side-effect of chemotherapy. but if you're talking about going bald with age then that is a very different topic!
