Nah Jordan would tell people all the time he's the best. It's on camera lol. But he didn't quit when his team got tested. He'd say give me that fucking ball. Lebron has quit on his team often enough that he's lost more championships than won. Michael has 6 rings. And thats with taking a break from the game. Lebron has played longer and has less rings.

@@MrOpenConversations MJ claiming to be the best isn't a negative. One has to have a certain ego and sense of self worth to even want to be in the spotlight. As far as LeFlop's longevity argument. IF Jordan had skipped college, and IF he hadn't taken that time away to play baseball...... There goes that ONLY check mark in Bron's favor

this shows that the physical conditions are not everything. Kobe and specially LeBron have ben said to have the "perfect body" to play basketball. Bigger, stronger yet still pretty agile, yet Jordan got to play less time yet had a bigger impact in the game, with the added bonus that there was way more physical oriented game allowed back then

more like a year and a half; he came back with like 12 games left in the regular season in '95. He was super rusty and out of basketball shape (understandably), which was a major reason why they couldn't beat the Magic. Also, it wasn't like Jordan really took time off during that retirement. Playing minor league baseball is grueling. If anything, that year and a half aged him more than had he kept playing in the NBA. Those long bus rides in the minors are horrible.

No he wasn't. He was a great copycat but that doesn't make him the closest thing to Mike, lol. Wade in his prime between 2006-2009 was probably the closest thing to Mike as regards to power and domination. The guy was unbelievable 6'4, blocking everybody, dunking on everybody, 28-30 points per game, 49-50% shooting.. Kobe Bryant was never on that level.

Michael Jordan came up when they weren't ALL FRIENDS he didn't play with anyone on AAU teams and AAU has absolutely taken out the competition and competitive nature of the game. Now it's like I got my 500 mill between my NBA and shoe deal I'm good why do I need to compete or take it personally because I'm set when I leave this arena. Michael made 98 million in TOTAL for his career playing in the NBA. 98 million dudes signing 240 million dollar 5 yr deals leaving the NBA with 3, 4, 5 million dollars earned in the NBA just nba

These aren't even his most impressive plays, at least visually. Jordan's gravity defying plays, best layups or dunks would have been better. These Top 50 plays are mostly game winning shots that aren't as impressive as gravity defining plays IMO. Because these highlights are great but have no context.

Simple explanation to understand MJ's drive: as a teammate, if you were slacking during practice, you would get smacked in the face and emasculated by MJ. Today's players couldn't handle that level of commitment and drive.

It was "more competitive" because players were a lot worse. Stars are good in any era. The role players and the bench, it's a different world now. Literally, the whole world is involved now, not just americans with an occasional african or european anomaly thrown in. You didn't even have to be able to shoot back then. They literally put dudes on the floor, in the starting lineup, who couldn't fucking shoot. And it was every team. The games sucked back then man. I'd much rather watch a game where everyone is a threat to spray a 3 than where you literally don't have to guard half the people on the court, but you're still forced to because of retarded "illegal defense" rules.
