BMM, Arrastra, and Liberator are the 3 ships I have now. Reasons behind them are mostly centered around variety of gameplay they are going to offer. I enjoy mining but I also tend to play with a smaller group of people so the Arrastra for me seems like an easy choice because I think that is going to absolutely print mountains of UEC with it have such a large cargo capacity and the ability to refine it's own material. That means the Arrastra doesn't really need to be picky about what it mines unlike the MOLE or Prospector which are going to require you to be a bit more selective and just go after the good stuff if you want to make decent money where as the Arrastra can be hitting stuff like aluminum, titanium, tungsten, quartz and even just filling up on that lower value stuff with 512 SCU of storage that's still like 15+ million which is a good amount of money and everything else like Bexalite, Laranite, and Quantaium is really just an added bonus on an already decent payday when you head back to a station to sell. Additionally I think those lower tier materials are going to be needed in higher quantities for crafting once the base building and blueprints are in the game and the smaller miners like the MOLE and Prospector might struggle to keep up with the demand for those low tier mats if you're trying to run your own manufacturing hub which is another thing I would like to get into. I also don't really want an Orion simply because I feel that is going to be too much ship for me to crew regularly and it can't do planetary surface or ground mining and I value having a variety of gameplay and being able to do a little bit of everything and this lets me do everything in the mining gameplay so I think it will be a more fun ship to operate than the Orion even if the Orion will make more money. The BMM is going to be there as my primary hauler and cargo ship and I think the money making potential of the BMM is probably going to be even higher than the Arrastra but it's going to require that initial capital to buy enough cargo to fill the ship in order to get that ball rolling and make it worth running it. I think it will also be a great org ship and a great ship to chill and hang out in. It will also have a good onboard medical so I could park it next to an outpost and use it as respawn and hospital when I'm not hauling cargo with it. I also picked the BMM over other cargo ships like Hull C or D because for one it looks a million times better and for two I think the return on investment percentage will be better with the BMM since it can go down to planets meaning it can buy for the cheapest price and sell for the highest especially because it even has the option of selling direct to retail. And again there is that variety of gameplay where this ship I think will be able to kinda do everything in the cargo hauling industry with a pretty high degree of success and efficiency so it fulfils that variety of gameplay even if the Hull-D for example might have an overall larger money making potential. Like you'll be able to do long hauls between systems or you could do a short run just from a space station down to the planet kinda doing that last mile delivery that the larger Hull series ships can't do you could set up shop (literal) and sell off goods at retail you can restock player outposts so yeah I think it will just be able to do most if not all of the different sub-loops in cargo pretty well apart from really small things like box missions though even that might be something this can support if you have like a pieces in the hangar or something like that. I also got the ship for $350 so this is basically a never melt ship considering it is basically double that now and it'll probably end up getting up over $900-$1000 by the time we have it in game. The Liberator is there because again variety of gameplay and I think the liberator being a small carrier might be one of the most versatile ships in the game because it's role is really going to be defined by the ships it is carrying more so than the ship itself. Like you could stock it up with racing vehicles, or with fighters, or ground vehicles, or you could stick a vulture, SRV, and Vulkan on it and do salvage and repair. So this ship really is kinda the frame work for a whole swiss army knife of possibilities that I think will be super useful in all sorts of different gameplay loops and the ships that you are going to park on it are pretty much all going to be less expensive to buy in game so I can use the Arrastra and the BMM to earn all those in game pretty easily. The last thing is I do have a buyback token for the Endeavor for $350 mostly because that is gonna be another ship that will have a huge amount of different gameplay loops it will support and may even have some unique functions that so far no other ship they've announce will be capable of. I also expect that ship to dramatically increase in size and price probably gonna end up being 300-400 meters long so a 50-100% increase over it's current concept Iike I am not going to be surprised if the front cab alone ends up being about the same size or even bigger than an Odyssey. Which is gonna make this ship a very very capible platform for doing all kinds of stuff however since it's probably going to be last ship we know about so far to be released I have it in buy back so it isn't taking up space in my fleet for now. The only other ship I might want to pick up right now is a Galaxy for the base building module but someone in my Org already has a pioneer so I am not sure how much I'll actually need my own base building ship.

My long term plan is to have a ship for a bunch of game loops (trade, mining, bounty hunting, combat, crew gameplay) and enjoy the game without grinding for hundreds of hours. Right now I have a Cutter, a Gladius, a RAFT and a Hull C. For the past two years I mainly just horded CCUs (29 at the moment). I'll wait until a few more ships are released but I'm aiming to get a Super Hornet/Zeus MR , Zeus CS/Taurus/Railen, Prospector and 400i/Galaxy/600i. I'll then melt the rest of the CCUs and get another small/medium ship if something really nice comes up.

I have the Zeus ES. Looks to be the ship I've waited for since launch. Aside from that I have mainly small 1 person ships, I like to be self sufficient and mainly play solo. This is in reference to the future engineering gameplay - all will be revealed. Another great video 😊 thanks

@@BestFeminist it's looking really good on the stats page, I suppose one factor is if other ships will be up-shielded for "balance".

I would say relook at the Polaris. as NPC for loading torps make it a low crew, capital radar should not be sniffed at it also has a lot of gun turrets on top of those torps and a fighter hold.

i have to say i think you fleet is very sensible. soloing looks more and more like the thing most will be doing as getting crew as you said will be difficult and take lots of time. Also most people have tons of ships so reclaim times wont mean anything to them as they will just switch to a different ship instead of thinking about serving as crew. Currently ive got the following: Odyssey Perseus Galaxy 600i explorer Corsair (may ccu to a Retaliator or Arrastra) Andromeda Redeemer (going to ccu to something else as im not a fan) Vulcan Super Hornet (but may change to Scorpius) Zeus MR Will likely get a Cutlass Blue and Prospector

Excellent fleet, Marcus! That Zeus shape reminds me of the Viper from Elite Dangerous, but that is a good thing, because I spent a lot of time in a Viper lol. I do not have any of these ships lol, but I'm obviously into different non combat loops, like exploration/touring ships and medical first, then logistics and some racing. My current ships are 2 Connies (Phoenix and Aquila), Reclaimer, Caterpillar, Saber, M50. For concepts I have an Endeavor, as well as both Apollos (I only purchased one Apollo. My fiance purchased the other for me, same as one of one Connie and the Reclaimer). If I like the 600i rework, I might buy it. Ohhh I purchased a Tali during IAE because it will soon be modular. Hmmm I subscribed last time I watched a video here, but i'm not subbed. I'll sub again lol

Have most of the same ships or a variant in pledge and in-game as you. I share your thoughts on many especially the Corsair. Going to CCU that and leave it in buy back list. Am also looking at a current endgame of the Percy. Going to melt a bunch to make it happen and start with a LTI token (likely the Scout) and CCU game to Percy. I appreciate the video as it gives us insight as to where you're coming from for your opinions. I enjoy hearing citizens telling us about their fleet's and hearing what did or did not work for them and why. Last note, I think you capture the discussion of "fleet" well. If it's in ASOP, it's part of your fleet. If we reset, you're fleet is only pledges but it can grow as you add in-game auec purchases.

My current fleet is mostly combat cap ships and fighters that fit on them. Everything else is earn in game for me. It seems kind of backwards but I cant wait to run carrier ops. I currently play with a bunch of people so it should be interesting.

I made it a rule that all my ships needed to be practical. All ships I thought about tco before I purchased them. Every ship needed to be crewed by 3 people to some efficiency. As for the A1 have you tried pulling up sharply while releasing multiple bombs. I have no evidence it works but I feel it helps with bomb groups.

great fleet for what it sounds like you want to do, and bombing actually has some uses for industrial people, like bases that need to be "deleted" lol, you don't want the competition setting up shop at old bases. if deconstructing the base is not an option at the time.

Saw a youtube video of a guy using a1 spirit on some missions, and bombing the guys outside first. It was really simple, and helped him quite a bit. I'm thinking those bombs are going to be quite useful in the future. People were using the SRV to tractor the bombs into space station hangars to go boom.

Solid fleet I'm a few weeks away from being reunited with the verse after 2-3 years out due to outdated computer build. about to have a high end build for Christmas though, figured I deserve a gift to myself :) I'm about to buy back my mustang game package w/ sq42 and recently used store credit to get the Zeus CL. so just two ships with real cash. My game style is solo, mostly industrial with a focus on cargo but I want my in-game fleet to include a bit of everything. I'm very interested in branching out to PVE bounty missions after seeing the spirit C1 being capable of PVE bounty and hauling the drug cargo from those ships. I'm hoping the Zeus CL will be as effective as the C1 in doing this loop but if not I will adjust my fleet appropriately. In addition to industrial and the PVE bounty loop I'd also like to strengthen my skills in becoming a valuable crew member in-case the oppertunity presents itself and eventually joining an Org once I get my head wrapped around current gameplay.

A2 is my favorite as well. Huge fan of the inferno and the redeemer, too. They're just not as practical for daily drivers with such limited cargo, but still fun to fly.

It's always fun to hear everybody's reasoning on their fleet, usually I learn something new to consider every time. I have a vulture for my starter to be able to make reliable and relaxing money while still having the option to use in salvage groups. A gladius because I like how it looks and flies, and it gets the most feature love thanks to squadron. It can handle some pvp and bounties when I want to do that... though I might melt it someday since it doesnt cost too many UEC in game which makes it feel like a bad investment. Lastly I have a zeus CL for a daily driver since I think it will always be useful in solo and group play and because I like how it looks and seems to have a great internal layout with many of the amenities you could need compared to ships like the cutty and freelancer. Ive been also wanting to earn my way up to a ship like the connie andromeda since I just think it has a lot of cool features, hopefully it will get a rework soon with CIG focusing on RSI ships atm. I also absolutely do want an F8-lightning someday but I decided that I wanted to earn it in game after squadron is launched (as was initially CIG's plan) since that sounds rewarding and fun to set as a goal that will make flying and using it more meaningful and memorable when I do get it. I ultimately wanted to keep my real money fleet solo-able and small for three reasons: 1. Crewmates for the big ships will always be in demand so I dont really need to own them myself and blow out my wallet any worse. 2. I think that having "endgame" or very large ships at launch would steal some of the fun since there will be less goals to actually play the game for but we will see how things shake out. 3. I dont have friends or an org to easily play multicrew ships with atm so it would be a total waste of my money.

@stinkratgaming have you considered the exploration zeus? It could be the sleeper powerful ship out of the three. Why do I make this claim? Because of the information found on the RSI website. It could be an error, and it could be changed in the future ..... but right now the exploration version has an extra shield over both the other two varients. They have 3 size 2 shields while the exploraiton has 4 size 2 shields (listed on rsi). It is worth it to be menioned that other websites list the exploration shields as 3 (same as the other variants), but I am theory crafting off the data on RSI's official website. How much more rugged would that make it? I think "very", which is why I bought the CCU from hornet tracker to zeus for 5 bucks. There's no reason to upgrade my arrow or syulen to a zeus right now, but I can always upgrade one of those to tracker and then use the ccu. Just an idea, because someone could buy both variant CCUs for 5 dollars each if they were undecided. My thought is the extra sheild listed is to compensate for it supposed to have extra armor or shielding. So when they implement armor, the exploration variant might be expected to act as if it had an additional shield. The zeus feels like the best multicrew ship currently (for my play style and desires)

@@BestFeminist I did consider it for sure, but found that the ambiguity of exploration/scanning gameplay felt like something I did not really want to buy into until we know more (I do get that with CCU's its not a huge buy in though). I also don't find a possible extra shield to be worth the guarantied loss of the extra cargo space and tractor beam, since I know that those features are useful now for my playstyle with no need to speculate. I also just like the industrial paint job more than the white haha. Regardless, I absolutely agree that all of the Zeus ships will be fantastic since the layout and amenities look cracked for 1-3 players. I think it is a sign of a great ship when no variant is the clear winner and so many people have their own favorite.

Good Looking fleet bruh. I am usually a solo player so some of my choices are a little contradictory to my norm. Howver, I really do feel as though my "norm" is already busted, so no sense in holding back. You said it, Star Citizen will be better with friends. (gotta make some) I am down with Exploration and Mining - a li'l rum running on the side. My current bought and paid for fleet: Carrack w/Pisces/ w/Ursa Redeemer Arrastra Merc Star Runner Sabre* Cutter Scout* Fury - It don't make sense but bruh, she's fly! I just want to breeze thru the Ronald McCitizen drive thru all glossy, for some fries. I'll take her home after that. Note the Sabre and Scout could possibly get melted for an F8 if that opportunity was presented. I love em, I'll miss em, but I'll be okay.

@@BestFeminist perseus aint bad, but it lacks some of the features that benefit the Polaris so much like a Hangar seperate from the cargo/ground vehicle bay big enough to fit support craft to fill its gaps in ability.

After lighting I’d probably recommend ccu chains , but. I understand why have the worry for a few hundred dollars .

Marcus nice list I would personally make some changes but everyone is different in this aspect. That said I would go Polaris first before maybe going for an Idris and when you go with Capital Ships or multiple Large ships in your fleet you have to keep in mind you need a big money maker to maintain your big ships. Without going for a continues grind to get your money to field those big boys. I would consider something like a Hull-D this ship could easily make multiple millions with one simple pretty safe and fast cargo run. Especially if you have looted or saved up a lot of cargo that you add to your run this keep the initial investment low. Something to keep in your mind and chew on for future gameplay.

The earning meta right now seems to be Reclaimer. That being said, it is likely that the Orion will be the biggest earner in game. The difficulty is the crew needed component. The Reclaimer seems to operate very well with 1, 2 or 3 people. This could provide a much more steady and safe stream of earning compared to cargo hauling. The difficulty with cargo is that it takes an investment quite often, or missions can be uncompletable with server issues. There's likely to be many ships to salvage, but this is also a reason to have additional captial ships. These are extra chunks of metal that can be spawned and scraped. Will cig stop this gameplay? I'm not sure how they could do that other than making insurance claims take a long time. This is just more reason why people should have 2 or 3 capital class ships. Or course it is my opinion that capital ships convey more value per dollar, but I also agree that smaller ships would be used more often. If someone compares dollar spent to UEC value in game, it is simple to see that bigger is better.

Yo Marcus your content is entertaining and always look forward to it. Money ships are 600i agree with rework whole reason I bought it, Conny Andromeda, Zeus MR, Apollo Medvac, vulture, Scorpius, syulen, and hawk. Was looking into ships with potential reworks in future but might of misjudged how long it would actually take to get rework and new to game a realized in game price aren’t bad. In game A2, A1, Cutty red/blue, Ion, 325a, Super Hornet, and arrow not sure if loaners count but some are

I'm fairly new player, started playing towards the end of november. I bought in pleadge the avenger titan and aomehow got the drake cutter for free, and as i'm planing to starting mimng i purchesed in irl money the drake cutlas black, greycat r.o.c and drake mule. I also plan to get in the future drake volture (i noticed i have a lot of drake ships lol) and in the farther future i'm thinking between c1 spirit or misc freelancer. And maybe in a year or two if will still play also c2 hercules or misc freelancer max

I don't plan on having a huge fleet either. As of right now it Perseus, 600i Ex, MSR, Vulture, Inferno, and Zeus CL are confirmed. The C1, C2, Zeus MR, and the Apollo Med are maybe's. The rumored F7 mk2 is on my radar, and I'm real curious about the new Mirai lookin ship they haven't shown yet. Couldn't afford the F8C so I didn't even try.

I started with a Cutter, it ain't pretty but it does honest work! hehehe for me it's the best starter ship, if you manage right you can fit a ROC in there. This year I got the Zeus CL, the best daily driver IMO. I hope that I get one Zeus MR one day.....

Zeus CL would be a great daily driver with 128 cargo and 3 medium shields. My opinion is close to yours, but I think that 32 cargo with 4 medium shields is the better daily driver varient with the Explorer Zeus. I really enjoy the flow of the Zeus. When they showed the pictures of Zeus, I said nope initially. It took me a while of listening to the presentation and looking at the insides to realize that the cockpit has a very nice view with a centralized crew location. That's what I liked about the Carrack, which this is a much cheaper version of (and I upgraded carrack to polaris).

Well I downsized my fleet to 1 to 3 players. I have all the Zeus series, A1, C1 both the scorpius. And the vulture, mantis ,SRV , F8C , C8R and the fury. Now these ships I know I is past the 3 player limit. But I think it’s good for pyro . Arrastra the galaxy and the Perseus. That is my fleet so what do you think?

What do you envision your main way of making UEC? What type of gameplay do you think you'd have the most fun with? It's difficult to judge your fleet, without knowing how you want to play. Maybe you have all of the Zeus series because you want to keep your playstyles open. The smart thing about that, is that we have no idea what CIG will change, how they will balance things, and which features they'll just leave off of ships or out of the game entirely. I see the Zeus MR as a mantis with more bite. That looks like a fun ship, and I really like the armory. I could see myself playing with a crew of people in that ship.

i love pvp but you got no industrial ships combat ship are so cheap in game i inly have the f8 in my fleet the rest are for making money to buy ship and repair salvage and such beside the polaris i had to have that one

I've had good luck using the Gladius against the F8, though there's definitely no room for mistakes.

Man, youve goy a bunch of smaller ships that could make a bigger ship. I definitely am on tge side that larger has more value, and that we just need one dailt driver and a shuttle. It is my opinipn that the components for the big ship are going to be worth much more. One 300 dollar ship is much more valuable than 3 ships that are a hundred each.

I am not saying that you should upgrade your small ones, but that was my choice because the small ones are easy to earn in game. The jump from Carrack to Polaris gains many capital class components over the Carrack. It's just that the larger ships are likely going to be much more difficult to earn in game. My hangar was a bunch of smaller ships, but I have chosen to go Polaris, Endeavor, BMM, Corsair, Redeemer. The Corsair might be my daily driver since it has a bunch of pilot controlled weapons. My Polaris and Redeemer are my military combat vessels. I have an arrow, syulen and fury as my smaller ships, and I am considering upgrading one of them. What is stopping me is the desire to still have things in game that I wish to earn.

The Zeus exploration ship attracts me because rsi website has it listed as 4 shields where the other variants are 3. Another large part of my hangar is what I plan for the endeavor. The modules that I want are the hospital module as well as two hangar modules. This makes it a person and vehicle spawn point that acts like a mini carrier. Yes a Kraken would be even more fun, as it reminds me of GI joe aircraft carrier, but the endeavor is much more in my price range. The idea with the endeavor hangar is to have some heavy hitting ships like the ares able to pop out as defense. Since the hangars fit two Cutlass reds, this should fit many different ships configurations.

bigger ships are going to be much harder to maintain esp if you are solo

@@marcuswynn89 besides the s10 railgun or beam laser thats it for offensive punch and thats weak asf
