Cross country kid here, and boy have I had experiences in it. One time I got lost on a course, and another time I finished a race with only one shoe lol.

I’ve been in Cross Country for 3 years now in high school. It’s been really fun being able to unleash my pent up emotions into just going fast. In terms of stories there was this one race we had where there was a big mud pit near the end of the race. Many shoes fell in there, though I was lucky enough to keep one of mine on long enough to drop it on the ground and finish the race with one shoe. There was this other time where I accidentally got too close to one of my teammates and I tripped, but I was able to turn into a roll and get back into running immediately. It kinda hurt but I just pretended I was Miguel O’Hara chasing Miles to fight through the pain (dw I resisted the urge to choke slam anyone)

Cross Country is a mixture of trauma and nostalgia. From the social events to the eliminator hills to the 100-degree weather, it's truly a unique experience. Wonderful work btw, can't wait to see more! :)

cross country was tough, especially because I wasn't really liked on my team, but I started getting really good and earned some respect. a good tip is to get a treadmill. (5:21 respect to people who throw up during running because it is legit just a sign that you are dying from exhaustion)

Meffols is awesome rest in peace you did better than me! I did cross country for the first time in 4 years, and I got absolutely thrashed in the 5k. I got 86th out of 89 participants in the qualifier for the statewide tournament… sucks. keep on representing the 1% of animator runners out there!

I did a cross country race but it was incredibly muddy so I had to bring in my hiking shoes. Now those are for walking high distances and when i used it... i found out... they were so heavy i couldnt go fast i could only either jog or just walk and i was so tired. I couldn't pratice that much before because it got dark like REALLY quickly around winter.
