There truly is something about sitting/laying on the floor: a borderless and inviting surface~ Bath is excellent for taking a nap in there, but it always starts or ends with a shower, sooo 🙄😄 Relaxing and inspiring video, thank you Jenny ✨

Yoga is a great winter sport ;) jokes aside, it is an awesome way to balance out that couch potato feel we all get. No fancy equipment required, no previous practice or mastery. Great for couples or alone with some candles and tea for sipping. I recommend yoga with adriene. :)

On weekends, my boyfriend's Portuguese grandmother makes us lunch. Her lunches are the ultimate coziness. We spend the morning walking around Lisbon. Afternoon is for movies and at night we eat out.

@@everydayinthebay3917 Thanks. There are so many delicious food here. The Portuguese love cod fish (bacalhau) with so many different dishes, my favourite is (bacalhau com batata a murro). Potatoes, garlic, lots of olive oil are usually the stable. Rice dishes that are prepared a bit similar to risotto (arroz de tomate, arroz de frango). Roasted pork rips, roasted Turkey, roasted sausages, roasted duck. And of course red, white and green wines. For dessert my favourite is chocolate mousse which is pretty popular here.

Yes, I'm so happy we're not the only ones that do that alone but together thing! I usually read next to my partner while he is gaming. We also interrupt each other to share some fun and interesting ideas that each of us discovered. That cozy feeling is so so good.

i don't typically deviate from my normal brunch food, which is a big bowl of oats, granola, cashew yogurt, and ALL the best add ins. i DO love to take baths, and i took two just last weekend. i take walks with my dogs, skip movies in favor of youtube vids, and when inside tend to be under a blanket, or on a chair in the sun, like a cat. at night i will light candles, poor a glass of red wine, eat some yummy soup, and finish with a bowl of frozen cherries while in front of a fire burning on my tv. i love that you regularly discuss taking a bath, knowing that it's very unlikely to happen 😂

That sounds so perfect! I often struggle to keep my weekends free of chores like cleaning and grocery shopping, maybe you would like to show us how you structure your week in order to have the time to enjoy your weekends more? And I have to say, I miss your cooking videos, but of course it's fine if you are over them.

My vote is for shower unless it's Onsen (traditional Japanese bathhouse) and Saké! Cold dip, Hot soak, no talking, ambient sounds... An extra super relaxing treat.

I absolutely love sitting on the floor and everyone in our house sits on the living room floor far more than the couch. Can't say why but it does feel some kind of way!

My sweetheart and I enjoy a slow, cozy cuddle each weekend morning and night to reconnect from our busy week. We light candles while the blinds are still closed, and you wouldn't believe how lovely it is. To be extra cozy, we have breakfast in bed.

The floor! I love sitting on the floor! My husband used to go crazy because I would convert our kitchen table to pillow sitting level and then have to change it every time his parents would come over. I find it so comfortable and everyone else hates it! Our compromise is to go to Japanese restaurants on occ. where they have floor seating. I wish I could do it every day!

Coziest laziest winter weekends...sofa, blanket, cups of tea one after the other and reading...I also love going to mass in the evening, the church is candle lit and smells of wax and incense, then you walk home in the dark and have more tea...I also love doing very lazy yoga instead of a vinyasa flow routine I do some stretches and breathing and cat cows for hours. hee hee.

I was doing just that while watching this video 😂 My son and I always eat dinner or lunch on the floor watching something we like disregarding the perfectly good dining table. I think, one tends to eat less that way. We have also ditched the beds and sleep in mattresses on the floor. ( Better for our back) We stack it up during the day that gives us more space. For getting clean, I prefer showers, but when I need to relax, I love a bath. Especially when my muscles feel cramped from stress, soaking in warm water with some lavender or patchouli bath oil does wonders.

Normally in the winter i will set up my bath with the leaf from my table and put my laptop on it to watch some pbs series while i soak for hours. Lately i haven't been able to take a bath because the heat and tub aggravated my sciatica so i've begun the ritual of taking a shower before bed by candlelight. Having this small amount of soothing light helps me unwind after a long day at work and gets my body ready for sleep. I even bought that lighter you recommended in one of your videos-i think it was an xmas gift recommendation! Love your book and all your videos. Wish you had more videos on your recipes. I too like to eat more asian influenced foods.

I love eating while sitting of the floor as well! It does feel more intimate and relaxing. So I totally agree with you on that point of coziness. (My goal is to get one of those Japanese style kotatsu tables with the blanket and heaters for winter meals.)

We always keep one day free too as well without appointments. If we are staying close to home we like doing movie marathons with fresh popcorn and cheese. Sometimes we play card games or board games. I like to cross stitch and he likes to customize action figures. We generally eat foods that don’t require cooking like salads, sandwiches or nuts and fruits.

You look beautiful, as always, Jenny. The colours of copper and bronze suit you wonderfully. I am a floor dweller, as well! It is not at all uncultured. It’s done in Japan all the time, as you know. I love even the look of lovely huge floor cushions in all colours and getting work done, or reading in a position with the cushions. I always eat sitting at my special low table with folding legs.

I don’t own a bath and haven’t sat in a bathtub for about 5 years. I would like one to sit in cold water on humid hot days. I live in the tropics so it’s never cold here. However the balmy monsoonal rain does make me want to curl up with a good movie or book. 💕 I do have a short clip of our rain here. Our rains are gorgeous, heavy and very electrical with big thunder rumbles that shakes my apartment.

I love showers for hygeim but for a ritual or special day day/break I am meticulous about controlling the temp in my baths 😌 Honestly these book recommendations are golden thank you!

cosiest thing is our friday night ritual where my husband bakes us sourdough and I pick up cheese and veg from the farmers market and make a cosy dinner out of it.

my partner and I recently started reading to each other. We choose a book we are both interested in and then we cuddle up and start reading to each other. This is such a nice and cozy alternative to watching netflix all the time, and it reminds me of my childhood where my parents read books to me.

Living in Australia we tend to have a slightly less hot Summer for our Winter... so coziness, I feel is a little different, however, my favorite coziness is to sit on the couch, homemade popcorn, candles, drizzling rain outside, reading a good book or watching the Mustards on youtube 🤭😉 Oh! And wearing a HUGE knitted jumper with a faux mink blanket. 👌🏽 Divine! Also, we have a bath but only use it for the dog 🤣🐶 so I can relate and I LOVE floor sitting,I agree, there is something almost cultured about floor sitting, though the rest of my family don't feel as I do. In Korean and Japanese culture, sitting on the floor for meals or gathering together (esp. in more traditional home settings from the past) is common! I still do this even in modern settings, because it feels super cozy. Love this video so much, Jenny

I like a bath to relax, but a shower to be clean. My favorite brunch meal is quiche with toasted French bread and fresh berries. I have never tried or heard of a vegan quiche, but if anyone knows of a recipe - I’m willing to try. :) Winter movie…. Hm…. I would say “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” or “Nightmare Before Christmas.”

I've become a bath person. But I stay there for like 50-60 min, which if I were to shower that long it'd be such a waste of water. Soothes and relaxes the joints, but I do like both quite a lot. My favourite part of a bath though, bending my knees to allow my head to submerge into the water

You've inspired me to read Rebecca it's actually my name so I should actually read it. I definitely read a ton in the winter months. I am definitely a shower person, I do occasionally take a bath but it's only after taking a shower because I don't like actually washing myself in the bath.

Melbourne is in the middle of an insane, week-long, humid heatwave but sure I’ll have a cup of hot tea because I’m also insane. There was a whitetail spider in the couch blanket today so obviously she wasn’t too hot 😂
