how very fascinating to use shrimp... I was given some eggs to try... and it was the first thing I did when I set up a separate jar for them. I put the smallest filter in there, reduced the flow to very low, added a java fern, some sand and 3 shrimp. Didn't think about the almond leaf, so I cut a peace from another tank.... I'm feeding crisps, freeze dried bugs and catfish pellets - all ground up and finely as I could... its day 2... I don't know how many I have, I can see 2 or 3 wrigglers in there... I'm excited. 2 or 3 is 100% more than I have lol Thank you so much for you video.

I've had two fails already, so I'm trying your method... I can always get her to lay eggs by turning the heater down a couple of notches but the other two times none of them "took" if that's the correct verbiage. Last two times I added a couple drops of hydrogen peroxide (learned from KZread), doing it all natural like you suggested. Fingers crossed. 🤞

Good idea with the almond leaf 👍 used liquid feed first then crushed algae pellets up to a fine powder and that worked. I feel so bad now, I never knew those tiny things on the glass were eggs, I thought they were snails growing. Snails are a pest in my tank. I was on vacation for 6 days, before I left I put brine shrimp so my fish wouldn't starve. Walked passed my tank a little while ago and there's a baby cory hiding next to my thermometer that fell....I'm still in shock it's so tiny. @@norbittsadventures reporting back. the net breeder does not work... organics get trapped in the net and I also found that the temperature of my main tank might be too high preventing successful hatching and possibly promoting bacteria and/or fungal growth. The second batch of eggs are hatching now and looking healthy. I've done this by taking them out and putting them in plastic containers on top of the tank. I think what's key here is to place the eggs with as much spacing in between as possible. clumped eggs seemed to get fungal growth much faster, especially if there's a unfertilized one in there. I've tested this theory (unintentionally) by having one cup spaced out like a grid on the wall and one having clumps. hope this helps anyone reading this. cheers
