You are saying more or less the right things with regards to warming the enigine up, not necessarily at standstill but just drive off boost for 5 / 10 minutes until oil is up to temp, same goes for turning off just give it a minute before turning off. I had a Blitz turbo timer on my limited edition astra SRI turbo (mk iv), lock car and walk away car will turn off by itself job done.

i think cars should be left standard thats what they were made for at factory no problems.start messing with things and it all goes shit.

Recently got myself a 08 vxr arctic edition, only done 50k miles paid little over 3k and its got full service history, super clean and a lot of fun id recommend one anyone

Epic cars, rapid and reliable if not modifed you should keep it mellow on the tuning and stuff exhaust and remap but don't go stage 3 please because it won't last bro

probably the least reliable hot hatch in its category, gearbox are naff, and 4th cylinder is chocolate. Good value for money for performance but that’s about it

Any thoughts about the gsi 150hp version?? Does it have the same problems with the vxr 4th cylinder etc..? Is it reliable?

@@solonassouglis6385 Cant comment for the corsa, but my 1.4 turbo astra has been in the garage for the past month and has cost me £2000 in repairs. 1.4 turbo is well known for being vauxhall least reliable engine, Google it and you'll see.

Great video. I've just bought a 2014 Corsa limited edition. A bit of buyers regret, there's no power, especially considering I do motorway driving to get to work each morning. But I'll get something with a lot more power for my next car.

Limited edition is essentially the most basic corsa with bigger alloys and black rims.

You forgot about fuel, but all is good, cleared up a lot of things, insurance is pretty cheap for you on that, i would have to pay atleast 3k on insurance

I know this is old vid but i have a 1.2 corsa, been rocking the yellow and black. I think the colour really goes on the corsa. Had it for a year and two months. Was £1400 first year & £550 this year. Now two months in. No black box either. Enquired about a VXR yesterday expecting it to be around £1000 for rest of year and all i will have to pay is £35 outright and keep monthly payments at 45.80. Mental?? VXR instead of 1.2 for £35 more a year. Only been driving for 1 year and 2 months also. Should i? A lot faster?

I'm with modified incurance and it's quite cheap I can put anything on it that doesn't increase the power the mods are free

Best tuning part for your car is bigger injector That is weak point To litle fuel comes on piston 4 when you tuning So bigger injector Also on stage 1

You should look around for insurance, that’s a lot considering your age and no claims, I’ve got an Astra j GTC VXR insured for the same price and I’m 20 with 1 years no claims

I payed 2,500 for a 1.2 normal Corsa 2009 57,000 miles......2 previous owners does the VXR make that much of a difference?

I also think it looks sick if you remove the fog lights and run a cold air feed to your intake cause they kinda look like air vents anyway, having the 2 black holes looks sick

@@jesuschristlslord4983 They're sick cars and like I said as long as you don't rag it when the engine is cold it won't happen, they have the same engine in the new generation of Corsa VXR because its a user error that causes it to happen, granted its an extreme consequence but if you just wait 10 mins before booting it it'll be fine, I've seen examples with 120k+ miles on AutoTrader

I have an 07 plate of the same colour. Had it for two years and it’s fun in terms of driving but the paint is an absolute nightmare. The Flame Red they used on these models lacks a clear coat and it fades like nothing on earth. I’ve literally given up to the point where I now call my car the “pink rocket” because the paint is just abhorrent and un-saveable. Unless you’re happy with machine polishing it and waxing it at least every 3 weeks then you should’ve got an Arden Blue one. Also it may look good now but it’ll fade in time, the dealership will have polished it up before selling it, that’s how I was initially tricked into buying one. Also if you plan on mapping you NEED to upgrade the injectors or your engine will run lean and break. Mapping will also fuck your gearbox up in a pretty short time due to them being made of Cadbury’s and barely being able to withstand the standard torque.

Don't fuck with a stock car and you won't have injector issues that are blown out of proportion by over-revs, over-fueling and red-lining. You're bound to break something. Like all cars, let them heat up and cool down before you boot it. Everything in moderation and regular services
