This is seriously the best. I love how you are not afraid to be yourself and come out and that's a strong characteristic many people wish for! you should be proud and happy of who you are and not let anybody ruin your life or mood. You are who you are. and people will love you for the true you!
I liked how you started out with "boundaries don't exist", It surprised me to hear that you- someone acts and appears so strong- have been having an inner battle with yourself since the SIXTH GRADE! The Hannah Montana reference was amazing, your smiles you get when you started talking about finally getting in a relationship made me smile along with you, that rollercoaster you had with your parents sounds truly saddening, but I'm glad you're strong enough to go through it! Never stop smiling! :)
This is the whole reason I subscribed to you! This is like my all time favorite and helpful video on KZread! Thank you so much for your stories and being so open!
This is one of the best coming out videos I have ever seen. You're smart, thoughtful, and eloquent and you're describing your inner thoughts so detailed and precisely. For these reasons this video is definitely going to help many young people who are in a similar situation. I watched this video several times because I like it so much ... and your personality.
You should be so proud of yourself Matt. It takes a lot to come out, but in the end it's one of the best things you can do to no longer censor yourself in any way. But I'm so glad that I can call myself your friend, and I'm so happy that I could be a part of your coming out in any way. :)
Hey, I used to watch you're videos all the time, but then I disappeared from youtube for a year and now that I'm back, I started watching them again. I really enjoy you're videos and I'm happy that you are comfortable with who you are after all that struggling. Stay strong dude :)
Watching this video reminded me of so many steps I had forgotten in my own coming out story. Nicely put... and very thorough! :D
This is really inspiring, glad to hear you're coming out story!
Matt!! 3 so proud of you!
You know I'm proud of you and all that good ish. The video was super intriguing and I feel like your story in middle and high school will be able to correlate with other people and the world and everyone's just going to love this and I'm so proud of you, again. I just think you're awesauce and I know you know xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
I stopped this video within the first 2 min just to say wow, your impressive and very articulate!
Great video Matt! :) Thanks for sharing your story.
hey there matt ! enjoyed your CO video best of luck for the future x
heyy matt. just wanted to say i loved the video. you are like the cutest ever :D. good luck in your studies.
I think its brave of you to post such an honest video. I can relate to a lot of the stuff you spoke about through your school years. I don't know how much it means coming from a stranger on the internet, but the coming out process is by no means an easy one and you should be proud of yourself.
Oh when you started talking I was like, god the same exact thing happened to me, I was the same about not accepting it and not even acknowledging it. I think I am gonna make a video about my coming out story some day. You are so cute, I am glad things ended up fine with you! xx
I'm so proud of you! Glad we are friends! I'm here for you whenever you need me! :)
Dude your videos are just amazing hope to watch more
I agree 100% with the labels stuff at the beginning. Part of my whole acceptance struggle was trying to find a label that fit what I was feeling. Turns out, the labels are for OTHER ppl to classify you. They aren't for you to classify yourself. I like guys and girls, both to different degrees, but I wouldn't call myself bisexual. Others will call me that, I'm just being me.
I'm so happy + proud of you :) and I'm glad you could relate!
Words cannot describe how awesome you are..I love you Matt, you're like a mystical creature just spreading joy
well done dude you explained your coming out perfectly! one of the better stories you know yourself well.
So inspirational! Wish I had enough courage to do it. Thanks for posting this.
I found your video very moving and your experience of coming out to yourself very much resonated with my own many years ago - in particular the discovery of just how many layers of selves there are to come out to. Those layers are designed I think to be protective but, like a kind of emotional scar tissue, can prevent us from being fully sensitive to the truth of what we feel. You have bravely begun to dare to feel.
aww i got mentioned! Great video Matt, proud of you!
I stand corrected! thank you for the link - very informative, i enjoyed reading that!
You go glen coco! Seriously tho, this is inspiring I think. I hope people will look up to you for this. You're an amazing person. I've been watching your KZread videos for so long now. And I've met you once actually lol. But this video is amazing. I don't even know what else to say besides that. Just wow c:
What a great story Matt! I've watched it before but thought I'd check it out again. I don't want to sound stalkerish, but this video makes me love you so much! You are amazing and for some reason everytime I watch your videos it makes me really happy! You are so smart and your thoughts are so well organized I get something from you everytime I watch your videos. Thanks for posting these they always have something that helps me in my everyday life. Your the best!
I'm so so so proud of you :)
this video is amazing im literalyy crying because its so heartfelt and i just love it i wish u could come to my school
this is amazing...I came out last march and i watched this video and i was inspired to tell my parents, they didn't know and now they don't care. just wanted to say thank you x
Thank you for your story. I grew up in a small town in Idaho, and by the time I realized what I was, I literally thought I was the only gay in the state. It took every ounce of mental ability I had to watch myself to make sure I didn't act or talk gay. The burden of being on constant guard against my own nature was crushing. Please make an up-date, and finally re-post that live coming out video
Thank you for sharing your coming out story. You're the best!!!
omg, so relieved your parents were ok with it!! I was scared for u lol! so happy youve come out - I hate that society is the reason you had to go through that inner struggle for so long.. not fair, glad u r happy now!
I'm glad you're getting the encouragement from your friends. Hopefully, your parents will wake up eventually. It just sounds like they're having a tough time coming to grips with your news. :)
awe! I'm so happy to hear that! thank you for being brave :)
Love you, Matt!
I feel that you have gone through so much turmoil learning to cope with your sexuality that it cost you a precious part of your youth. But on the other hand that struggle build something strong inside you. Far too many gentle souls did not survive the struggle. I hope you have a wonderful life filled with love and happiness. You have earned it.
I love reading your comments, your so sassy it makes my day
Dear, Matt Thank You for sharing your story. May God Bless you in all you do. Peace
Love you Matt!
Proud of you, Matt!
I just found your KZread and I've already fallen in love with you. You are amazing and truly inspirational.
Matt
loved watching this, learned so much about ya :)
I've always loved you and your videos and stuff and this video has only made me respect you more. I just want to say I'm so proud if you and don't ever believe you don't deserve love and support. :)
Great story bud . We all have to face it sometime, but just remember; It is great to dream and look ahead than to look back and regret.
you are so strong and intelligent and super great person. You're parents are so concerned about what others think instead of their son's feelings. Hopefully they've come around. If not, they need time to accept it for themselves but it's not their place to put their thoughts on you. They're values aren't any better than yours. You're a fantastic human being.
You are an absolute delight to listen to. Your wisdom and intelligence is outstanding for such a young guy. You are so very and interesting... you kept me captivated. I'm 59 btw... and I've listened to a lot of people in my life but none as articulate as you. I wish you nothing but success in your journey in life.
ur so great! society sucks but with more people like you in the world, it rly could become a better place. thanks for sharing your story with us! its meant alot. THANK Y0U!
You have something to be proud of :) Great job Matt. You truly are so brave and inspirational!
I was inspired to create my own coming out story on my channel after watching this video, thank you so much for this! xo
Awesome story! And thank you for sharing it!! :)
I respect you so much for this video
You're amazing and I freaking love you!3
you are kewl. you will be alright. love yourself. you are worth of love. love you !
you're amazing :) so bravee!
Aw this was awesome. Congrats, sir!
It seems like this go's full circle. I admire you for the same things you admire other gays for and suddenly find myself feeling better about myself being gay because I see how inspiring different gays can be. It's like a brotherhood that supports each other and we all understand the pain and trials we all go through, and that makes us stronger, prouder and happier. Your so lucky to have Grant, he has the most gentle spirit and open heart of anyone I've me here on youtube. He is special!
When you first posted this video, I never would have dreamed that I would have a coming out story...but now here I am...I just started the process 2 days ago. I've told 4 friends so far...my parents? I'll figure that one out later...it's been tough. This is, by far, the hardest experience of my life. I'm emotionally wrecked to the point where I'm not eating and losing sleep...I just want it to be over.

Glad you posted this video! Feel proud to be gay and feel happy that you posted your video! Tell straight to your parents that you feel gay and there is no reason to hate you because you posted this without telling them! Wish you all the very best in your life being in a relationship with someone that deserve you as the best because you are an awesome person!
That is a great video! I think it is very inspiring and I think it will help a lot of guys out there. I was very nervous when I made my own coming out video. Anyways, I subscribed and I wish u all the best!
Thank you, for this inspirational video.
Fantastic coming out video. I can soooooo relate to the early part of ur video.
great video... thanks for sharing! i hope you put your parent video back up, i missed it.
THANK YOU for telling your story. you have help me
Dude, you are so cool...thanks for your share.
I have to say you're very well spoken a pleasure to listen to coming out for me was different sometime a little older but I never really had any issues with it! I can listen to you speak forever :)
CONGRATS! That's an amazing and surprisingly entertaining story haha :)
I'm a senior in high school, never really publicly "came out" but I've told some ppl. I've even told my parents (which I regret) but at this point I do not care who knows. I'd prefer for ppl not to know, but all the friends that I've told really didn't care which surprised me. If anything, they didn't want me to be flamboyant, which was fine since I am "straight-acting" anyways.

very courageous!! your message of "unboxing" is important because we are not better/worse than others, it's like you said just for others to have a term for us. you are right about that no one is different & that we all should have the same value and treatement as anyone. looking forward to hear about your success in coming out. I think that you are doing a really great job with making all these funny and great videos! keep this positive attitute and never stop working on your future! regards :)
Matt, I am proud of U, be what you are...
Thanks, heart felt and real!
your story is so similar to my own, thanks for sharing
~thumbs up~ Welcome to the family! thank you for sharing your coming out story and the struggles to accept yourself, also you are very cute!
awe :( i'm so sorry. i really hope they can accept you someday!
Way to go kiddo, i never have understood why family feels this is a bad thing, their shame is deplorable, but i can tell your tough and smart, so Good Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you
that was really selfish of your parents that they made your coming out experience about themselves. thank you for being vulnerable with us ❤
Great coming out video ! I loved the part about how you met Grant. You guys are the cutest couple
This is a really good expression .... we appreciate it thank you
Thank for sharing your story. i Agree that need to attach a label to everything( more so someones sexual orientation, race, etc) is stupid and not needed. I am in a very identical place of not accepting it in my head first, so i can start the whole "coming out" process and letting others know or being more okay if someone know even if i dont really care about the LABEL .... if you have any advice on becoming more okay with it in my head or more so the label , to move forward in my life journey i would really appretiate it.
You have a very happy nature. I am glad for you! Be always happy!
wow just a great vid. good luck to you in your life.
Aw, Matt. I loved you before this video, and I love you still--no more, no less. But I'm proud of you! Glad you've come to terms with yourself :) Go Matt!!
Wow, your story is so much like mine! I remember looking at myself in the mirror when I was a senior and said "your gay". That's the first time I really accepted it. I remember the anxiety attacks and all. Life is so much better now. Your so lucky to know Grant, he is such a sweetheart! I have admired and respected him for a long time. He has the kindest and most gentle soul. I liked your story and have subbed to your channel. You seem like a very cool person!
your a beautiful individual . your very brave. and honestly watching your video makes me feel better about being who i am. your going to change peoples lives ! fuck these haters.
This was beautiful. Go you.
I totally agree with your opening monologue about sexuality !! :) your "mental war" was exactly what I went through (for about 8 years!!!)
I love u dude!
Sweet man love and hugs. You will help people
OMFG THAT SHIRT YOUR WEARING SAYS MY NAME ON IT!! I have that shirt too!!
Thank you for accepting my apology. Again, I had no right.
Great story. Glad you have come to terms. You would be missing out on so much if you had kept on hiding and wondering. Just be safe with others. Enjoy your life, you will be just fine.
Matt, I'll love you forever and always, baby. Never change. :3
thank you so much! :)
Wow! That was a great story! Good job! :D
Thanks Matt :)
thank you so much :)
My coming out has been so terrible. I really appreciate this video. Helps me feel I'm not alone.
