Thank you Franky. I am honored especially because it comes from a Christmas Villages specialist like you. I have always envied the magnificent villages (sorry kerstdorp) the Dutch can do.

Excellent presentation Silvio. I love all the realistic details you present in your Village. The cobblestone walkways, stairs,topography, and a water feature. Plus so much more. Fountain is missing, i assume it broke down as a lot of those Lemax fountains only last a few christmas times

Hi Jack. No the fountain was there on the far right side of the third level. I probably should had filmed it longer.

Beautiful!!! You have a lot of talent...I also made one but I'm not an expert but it's nice too. Only people who do this give its deserved value..and I know all the effort and hours of work it takes to do something so beautiful. Congratulations!

You did a great job in creating this village. The waterfall is a nice feature. Where did you buy the background?

Hi jaja time, thanks. The background is from a company that sells only in Europe. They don't have an online shop but maybe you can find a shop near you following the directions you will find here: myvillage.nl/shops/ All their range of backgrounds is here: myvillage.nl/product-category/backdrop/ and the one I generally use has part number MYP14 - MOUNTAIN-LANDSCAPE I think that also Amazon has it on catalogue.... let me check.... An amazing village Silvio. We loved the pedestrian bridge and the waterfall. We've tried to make a waterfall a couple of times with nowhere near the success of your piece. May I ask what you used to make your piece, especially the sealing so that it doesn't leak? Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas.

Hi Barb, thank you for your kind comment. The waterfall has been made from Polymorph (hand mouldable plastic granules). It's a plastic that when immersed in hot boiling water become soft and mouldable. You have around 10 to 12 minutes to mould it before it cool down and hard again. If you make a mistake you can start again over and over. Each level of the waterfall has been moulded separately and then I have assembled all the levels (starting from the base up) using an hot gun. So no sealing was necessary. Then I made all the engravements using my Dremel. After that came the hand painting with acrylic colors and 2 layers of protective varnish spray to protect colors from water. Great video, just beautiful, such detail. I am new to filming my village, when you get a chance please take a look. Carolyn's Christmas Village 2019. Any advice you could offer would be appreciated. Merry Christmas!

Hi Carolyn, your village is huge and amazing. Congratulations. You asked for some advice on filming the village but filming and editing it's a personal choice not a pure science. Anyway in my little I generally don't use visual effects (except for transition between scenes) because I don't want to mask the reality or the defects and distract viewers. Your video has quite a lot of beautiful details but I think it's important to also show the viewers the totality of it in order to give them the idea of the entire concept before going to the details. I don't want to bore anyone with my personal thinking and I apologize if I did so. Please Carolyn, feel free to contact me if you need more advices. Thank you.
