​@kldjuico927 most bands play a half step down as they get older, as the singers voices usually lower as they age. So this allows it to fit Gerard's current register

@@dragonblazer96 If you listen to Green Day , they are still in Standard tuning (except for Kerplunk , Dookie and Insomniac since all of it were in Half step)

@kldjuico927 As I said, MOST bands tune down over time. Not all. It all depends on how the vocalists voice ages. Thirty Seconds to Mars, Shinedown, Bon Jovi, Pearl Jam, Muse, Matchbox 20 all tune down some of their songs live. It's very common, and makes the song sound better than it would if the singers were straining to reach the notes they recorded when they were young
