Morning Ryan, nice and informative. Have a Sheppach at the mo which drives me made every ten minutes kicking in with a deafening noise! This is just the compressor I was looking for. Fits the bill for me. Ordering one today. Cheers mate, Richard

My identical Stanley compressor now has too much rust inside and I don't trust it not to rupture and destroy my Man-cave. I have hearing aids to always have to run out when I switch it on.... You've just persuaded me to buy the Hyundai. I can continue to work with it on. Cheers.

What will you be using this compressor for? Wondering what it’s size/capacity allows for? As you indicated; it would be on all the time for larger jobs (like inflating pool), but how does it hold up for for instance (pin) nailing.. and would it matter if it runs the whole time, given it’s so quiet?

Have bought one and can now sell my noisy compressor,also my air brush one as well . Recommended.

I have this one in my cart on Amazon for quite a while now. Waiting for someone to review it so thanks for that. I’d love to know how well it would run a framing nailer.

I guess you need to work out how much air or cfm the framing nailer is. You can get these with a bigger tank, 24L I believe

Could be completely barking up the wrong tree but did you learn anything from that (very quiet) compressor that might transfer to making a refrigerator compressor quieter?

I didnt but I'm sure it has those specs on the machine or their website. It's very quiet, surprisingly quiet

I have one of the noisy Hyundai 50ltr compressors, which after 2 years of medium use, has quit unexpectedly. I would treat myself to a quiet one, but the brand has shaken my confidence. It's just a cheap brand, which seems to be the dominant thing these days.

I suppose you are right, it is a relatively cheap brand. Maybe they do other silent compressors out there... Mines still working fine if that helps

Why not wire them together so the noisy one comes on if the air pressure drops to low. This is what I'm doing in my new shop for when I use high CFM tools. Well that's the plan but then again 90% of my air tools are now replaced with lithium brushless tool..

Clever idea but it's just far too loud. I don't really use airtools or need to use the compressor too much, mainly for the pin gun 👍👍

Could you use it with an HVLP spray gun?

It all depends on what cpm your gun requires I think. Just check your gun specs and the compressor specs and if the compressor is higher or the same then you should be good 👍

Find a local charity that can use the old compressor, a maker space, rehab centre or something. There must be one around you that can make use of it.

Does this 24l air compressor work well to respray on small car bodywork like the bonnet, wing and roof using with LVHP spray gun?? I'd love to know!

I've got the 24l one fantastic piece of kit. Used to spray a Mercedes no problems at all.

Yeah I think it would be the same motor for all size tanks.

I've got the stanley.. its a nightmare because of the noise. Between you and Rag N Bone Brown showing me this one its time to ask the boss for some pocket money to buy the Hyundai.

Big mistake we make is having compressors in side work shops. They need to be outside in a shelter of its own.

True, think it depends how much you use a compressor though. I just need it for a pin gun and an air blower and not that often so this little hyundai is the perfect fit for me 👍
