Love this! I prefer the single flap too. I purchased mine in 2010. I have a "vintage" burgundy Chanel and it has the flat gold plated CC's and it is one of my favorite pieces in my collection.

I am fortunate to have purchased several Chanel handbags (over a couple of decades time) and there is no way I would keep the boxes for them ~ and definitely do no think that should be part of the criteria when purchasing a pre-owned bag.

I finally found the bag exactly like yours (single flap, with the 22k gold) preloved and a good deal as well! thank you so much for the advices and it really made me wait and get what I wanted. after watching this video, I feel like I want to have yours!!! thankfully I found it :)

HI Tiffany, thanks for sharing your story about your chanel bag, today on Haute Look they are selling vintage chanel bags and I'm looking at the purses with your tips. I'm using your video as a study guide and using the hautelook website today as just a research. I'm not ready to purchase a chanel yet but getting the idea of what to look for in a bag to make sure that it's the real deal is great. :) Please do more videos on high end purses...i.e. LV :) thanks again!

I appreciate all of your "real" advice. Purchasing a Chanel bag is like a car. You don't want dings and scratches paying that kind of money. If it takes a couple of years....so be it. Thanks for sharing!

the caviar varies from season to season and leather to another. So you can still find caviar alike your bag. When I bought my bag, I picked between the caviar that's more soft like yours and the harder one. I picked the harder one because it felt more durable to me. It's pretty much preference.

i have the lambskin tan and the caviar black. best investments EVER! but i have the double flap on the caviar and the only good thing is that the grommets are front and back which is really nice but the extra flap is annoying. there are pictures of me at events where i'm too lazy to close both flaps and you can see it just like wide open. love this single flap!!!
