Amazing love your colour choices I would love to no what your beautiful cat was looking at. Amazing how you get her coat to look so thick. Going to see if I can purchase the magazine. Thanks Emma Happy Christmas 🎄
this is so stunning, I'm at a loss for words
Happy New Years Emma and thank you for this tutorial! I love cats and your cats are beautiful! One question, what did you use for the initial drawing on the velour? If it’s pencil, I had always heard not to use pencils because the pastels will not properly adhere to the paper. Is that only true for other papers and not velour?
Hi, I wanna start using the soft pastel´s, I don´t have so much money to spend, so, what brand would you recomend me to use? thank u for the time. Btw, your drawings are amazing!!! Love it.

If you're starting on a budget you can either jump into the high quality materials and buy a small amount. Or start with a cheaper brand of which there are many.(Jacksons make their own range of pastels which are decent) I started with cheap student grade materials as I couldn't afford the better quality but as soon as you can add better materials you will see your work improve because of that. If it's money holding you back, just get some cheap stuff and get going. You learn from everything you do.
I think getting the colors and lighting correct really make a piece jump out. As opposed to spending forever painting tons of detail. Something I need to learn tpo stop doing!
